Now, Aviva has been accused of being fake by her castmates — and most viewers — last season, but her marriage seemed pretty strong and healthy. So what reasons would she have to appear on a show where couples go through exercises and drills to help improve marriages?
Nobody likes a borrower who tries to be a keeper! Case in point: Aviva Drescher who is being sued when she borrowed art work and decided it looked too pretty to let go of!
Remember how Aviva held an art viewing party at her brand new NYC townhouse? The apartment she purportedly rented solely for the purpose of filming for Real Housewives Of New York because the co-op board at her real apartment wouldn’t allow Bravo cameras on the premises. Well anyway, Aviva fancies herself a bit of an amateur curator and went on to install other works of borrowed art! But now she likes them so much she wants to keep some of them without paying!
Matthew Satz, a Hamptons-based artist, filed a suit against Aviva for $620,500. In June 2013, Satz says he loaned Aviva 5 paintings and hung them in her Upper West Side apartment in exchange for “some exposure” presumably of the RHONY kind and now he wants his artwork back.
Aviva was nominated for RHONY by friend Bethenny Frankeland claims she was apprehensive about joining the show. “When I was approached to be on RHONY my first response was “Absolutely not. Those women are nuts.” But Aviva’s decision was swayed by the opportunities that could arise through being on Bravo… such as “writing” her book Leggy Blonde. “I was interested to learn about the reality television process and culture, and I was excited to have a job! I had been a stay at home mom for 10 years, which can be mind-numbing,” Aviva shares.
It is no secret that this season of the Real Housewives of New York tanked in the ratings. So many unbelievable and made-up storylines annoyed viewers instead of entertained them. Then news broke that Andy Cohen and the other producers were looking to shake-up the cast in order to boost ratings.
You would think that with the number of high-profile women that live and work in New York City and the Hamptons, it would be a cinch to find some new — and interesting — ladies to join the cast. But apparently, many of those high profile women may have watched as well and now they have no interest in joining the circus.
Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer – and the Real Housewives took to social media to show off how they spent the holiday weekend.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville took her two boys, Mason and Jake, to Palm Springs, and then she proceeded to complain about the amount of kids – “It’s noon. It’s time for wine. Kids. Everywhere.” – and the oppressive heat – “117 degrees!”
“Loving Palm Springs,” added Brandi. “I’ve been asked so many times where my boyfriend is but the truth is I just wanted face time with Mason and Jake.”
The exact problem of the ratings decline has yet to be identified, but my guess is it has something to do with unrealistic storylines — bookgate — and planned confrontations — leg throwing. Huh, I just realized that both of those have to do with Aviva. Hmmmmmmm….more on that in a bit.
