Real Housewives of Orange County

RHOC season 11 cast

If the preview for the rest of this season of Real Housewives Of Orange County is any indication, the ladies are in an all-out war. On one side there is Vicki Gunvalson and newbie-disaster Kelly Dodd; on the other side there is Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge, and sometimes Meghan Edmonds. In the middle, aka – standing at a distance from “low-base bullshit” – is Heather Dubrow.

Vicki declared this the nastiest fighting that has ever been between the cast – “much worse” than even Tamra vs. Alexis Bellino. (Alexis threatened to sue Tamra at one point) – and drama has erupted between the women this week.

Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador did not start out too buddy-buddy when they first shared screen time on The Real Housewives of Orange County, but they’ve come a long way since then. Tamra, in fact, seems to be one of Shannon‘s staunchest allies this season, in particular. Maybe Jesus fixed it? Hallelujah!

In her blog this week, Tamra shares her shock at learning Shannon’s mother in law was basically in on the affair that David Beador had last year. She also majorly side-eyes Vicki Gunvalson’s newest shady ploy for retribution insurance/charity cancer scheme, which kind of makes me love Tamra’s little black heart just a little bit more this week!

So if you, like me, were totally confused about what exactly Kill All Cancer is about, Vicki Gunvalson is here to clarify that, no, it’s not an insurance policy, but a charitable organization that collects funds to distribute to cancer patients and organizations by selling bracelets.

Vicki describes as where “real awareness is raised” and the organization plans to “reinvent the way charities are run while building an International Cancer Killer.”

Meghan King Edmonds gets an ultrasound

When I watched Meghan Edmonds and her husband Jim Edmonds at their ultrasound appointment during the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, my heart was aching for them. They went from being super excited that Meghan was pregnant with twins to being devastated after they found out that only one of the embryos survived. The emotions were raw and I really wanted to leap through the TV screen and give Meghan a hug.

The only (super small) bright side was that the videos actually got to see a compassionate side to Jim’s personality – especially after he has been highly criticized for what comes off like a lack of support during Meghan’s pregnancy journey. It seemed pretty obvious to me that Meghan and Jim were happy to have a baby on the way and that they were just understandably upset that they lost one, but apparently a lot of people have come at her for being “ungrateful” that she has a healthy baby on the way.

Kelly Dodd with husband Michael

Well there’s one positive to Kelly Dodd – she isn’t afraid to put it alllll out there; all her bad behavior, boozy outbursts, and bad marital problems. But does her husband Michael Dodd agree with his wife’s portrayal of their marriage on the Real Housewives Of Orange County?

“He did not like how I told everybody about our business right off the bat,” Kelly admits. “You know, I aired the dirty laundry straight [out] the gate.”

Kelly Dodd's marriage is a mess

At first, it was pretty hard to like Kelly Dodd, but now that we are pretty far into this Real Housewives of Orange County season, it’s hard not to feel some sympathy for her. It’s clear that she is dealing with a lot when it comes to her struggling marriage with her husband Michael Dodd. It might even explain her behavior has been a lot for the ladies to handle. Even Heather Dubrow-who infamously walked out on that sushi dinner because she wanted nothing to do with Kelly- cannot help feeling sad for Kelly ever since she opened up about her marriage.

Previously, Kelly revealed that she and her husband Michael have already split up, dated other people, and were this close to getting a divorce. At first, it seemed like a sweet love story where the time apart made them realize that they were meant to be or something like that. However, the latest episode made it clear that things did not really go down like that- at all. Heather has revealed her mixed emotions when it comes to the Dodds‘ marriage.

Shannon Beador defends herself against mother-in-law Donna

The animosity between Shannon Beador and Vicki Gunvalson is very intense during this season of Real Housewives of Orange County. They’ve barely appeared on camera together, but the shit talking and refusal to hang out with each other is dramatic enough. Vicki crossed the line when she decided to talk about Shannon’s mother-in-law hanging out with and preferring David Beador’s mistress over Shannon during a group trip to some mud spa.

How does Vicki “know” all of this? She heard gossip around town and she definitely believes it. Wow. Those are some cold hard facts, Vicki. I get that she hates Shannon because Shannon refuses to be friends with her, but does she not get that talking about the Beador family on a TV show hurts Shannon’s three children more than anyone. Classy move, Vic. Well, obviously that scene did not sit too well with Shannon.

Kelly Dodd's marriage is a mess

We’re moving on, we’re moving backwards, and we’re moving into straight crazy territory on Real Housewives Of Orange County. Who isn’t on the edge of their seat after that preview for the rest of the season? In a war between Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, it was always a toss-up, but then Tamra found Jesus through jumping jacks and Vicki got ‘duped’ by her own desperation, so now I don’t know… It’s probably still a toss-up!

Apparently Bravo is using Tamra as some sort of Kelly Dodd reflecting pool. Like, ‘Oh remember way back when when Tamra was an irascible ‘naked wasted getting’ bitch throwing wine in her friend’s faces? But now that she’s found the ever-supportive Eddie, she’s calm and centered.’ Like Kelly could be that too if she divorced Michael. I don’t know. Crazy is as crazy does, and crazy takes advice from Tamra and Vicki!
