“This has been an emotionally taxing week for my family and me,” begins Meghan. “On Tuesday, July 22, LeAnn Huntley Edmonds-Horton lost her battle to colon cancer. Not only was she the mother to two of my stepchildren, Lauren and Hayley, she was my friend. For LeAnn to embrace me as she did is a true testament to her character and her willingness to work together for the sake of her children. LeAnn’s personality was captured perfectly on camera: accommodating, sweet, and overall a lovely person. There are many people who are affected by her death but Lauren, Hayley, and LeAnn’s parents are the ones who are affected significantly beyond anyone else, and I ask that you allow them to grieve as they see fit because even though life goes on and smiles and laughter exist, the pain in their hearts is constant.”
Oh, man. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting exhausted for, and by, Shannon Beador – and I’m possibly one of the few who still really likes this wacky woman! Just watching her maneuver through the painful storyline she’s put on display this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County makes me want to lie down and take a long nap. Where’s the promise of more “upbeat” scenes with Shannon and family? Where’s the “pot of gold” at the end of the rainbow? Toto, we aren’t in Kansas anymore!
In her blog this week, Shannon once again explains – and explains, and explains – why she was frustrated with husband David at Meghan Edmonds’ game night, why she gave Meghan the side eye (but NOT the judgy eye!) about Botox treatments, and how marriage counseling has put her marriage “on the fast track to healing.”
Before traveling to Tahiti our unfortunate Housewives are forced to take part in a couples game night hosted by Meghan. Because Meghan takes her job as being a HashtagCoolStepMom very seriously, Hayley, her 17-year-old stepdaughter is involved in the planning of said party. Meghan, confusing a grownup party with her own Candy Land Princess-themed birthday party, went to Party City and bought balloons and giant bags of candy. If Heather Dubrow were planning this, she’d hire a French chocolatier to hand-craft custom-flavored truffles decorated with the family insignia. Alas, this is Meghan we’re dealing with so Blow Pops it is.
Andy offered his condolences on the death of Lee Ann Edmonds Horton. “It was not a sudden death but it was a tragic death,” said Meghan. “Everybody’s feeling a lot of pain and grieving in their own way. We’re trying to celebrate her life and look forward to the future and just really cherish who she was.”
The newbie Housewife borrowed Tamra Judge‘s hairdresser (the man behind many a Bravo head), Julius Michael to dye her locks from OC blonde to teenaged dream pink. Aaaahhh… Meghan, honey, no matter how hard you try and how immaturely you act, you’re still a 30-something grown-ass woman!
Shannon Beador may be baring it all on this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, but she’s growing tired of being called the “wacky” and “crazy” housewife on the block despite having precious gems installed in her teeth.
When asked what the biggest viewer misconception about her is, Shannon told All Things Real Housewives, “That I’m wacky.” So, are we not seeing the normal, everyday Shannon that’s just like everybody else? She argues, “I’m a down to earth person with a little bit of a zingy side and that’s what makes life fun. If I hear the frickin’ word crazy one more time… it’s just not nice!”
Heather Dubrow has a lot going on this season on the Real Housewives of Orange County. Personally, I get a kick out of her fancy pants behavior, and admit I watch the Housewives to get a peek at the kind of mega-mansion lifestyle she’s building (rather than the latest ranch rental a’la Brandi Glanville or fraudulent grasping at wealth via RHONJ). So, true to her “pretty close” to perfect life – and tag line – Heather has a lot of updates this week on the fabulousness that is Heather!
Captioning the above photo on her Instagram, Heather wrote, “Lighting and painting and stone OH MY ! #buildingthehouse#willwebeinbydecember #12hourstoday.” So, sounds like the Dubrows are working toward a December deadline. But Heather can’t promise this will be the last house they ever build, sharing with All Things Real Housewives recently that her family is used to moving, and may well keep on moving (to what? a theme park!?) until the end of time! “Terryand I have been together for almost two decades and we’ve never lived in one place longer than three years. Who knows!” Heather divulged. “We could be here one year, two years, ten years, twenty years. You never know. I will say it has been a lot of work, in the last two days I’ve been there eleven hours a day with very crucial planning.”
Vicki starts by sharing that she’s writing from Oklahoma this week, where she’s visiting Briana and her boys, Troy and Owen. “Troy will be three in September and Owen just turned one,” reports Vicki. “They are beautiful boys and so sweet. You will see them on the show later in the season when I come out and visit them, and they also came back to California for a few days so stay tuned.”
