The Real Housewives of Atlanta was a totally different show back in the day and big part of why I enjoyed it so much was Sheree Whitfield. I didn’t understand why she had to leave and I really could not fathom why Kim Fields was a season regular last season and Sheree wasn’t. Kim was easily one of the most boring cast members of all time and Sheree is reality TV gold.
I would have been so annoyed if I were Sheree and I had to play second fiddle to the boring beyond words Kim Fields. I get that she was paying her dues, but it made no sense that the same woman who iconically asked “Who gon check me, boo?” was not brought on as a season regular. Thankfully, Sheree will be back this season and she is actually a full time cast member. REJOICE. Now that Sheree is back she seems pretty pumped about it and I do not blame her at all.
The Kandi and Todd, along with other RHOA stars, were headed from Honolulu to Maui to film the season 9 cast trip when a ticket screw up caused a commotion and the pilot reportedly requested they exit the plane prior to takeoff. Oops!
Hawaiian Airlines does admit the issues were initially over a computer glitch on their end, but maintains Kandi, Todd, plus their two traveling mates exacerbated the situation with an over-the-top response. Oh, and in case you’re wondering who their two traveling mates were, they’re Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey. Two divorcing pals crashing a couples vay-cay? Nah – just two of many RHOA stars headed for a little Aloha!
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker were attempting to take a romantic vacation to Hawaii, but they had a little trouble getting there. As in they didn’t.
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star said Hawaiian Airlines kicked the Tuckers off the plane when a ticket mishap caused Kandi to question what was going on and if she would be able to have bags returned. Kandi and Todd were then told to leave the plane and accused of causing a “commotion.” So … Hawaiian Airlines is run by the Gestapo now?
The leaves may be falling, but Shady Sunday is coming back again this Fall, with new seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Married To Medicine debuting Sunday, November 6! Bravo announced the premiere date this week, along with confirmation on who’s coming back – and what they will be sharing with us in the months to come.
Real Housewives of Atlanta season 9 will see a return of the same cast we know and love, with one notable upgrade: Sheree Whitfield is back as a full time housewife, ya’ll! Who gon’ check her BOO? Two snaps in a circle for that. Snap, and a snap. It’s Sheree’s first time holding a peach since season 4. Though hinted at heavily during the off season, NeNe Leakes is not currently on the Housewife roster (nor is Kim Zolciak) but we all know she will likely poke her head in front of the camera for a scene or two.
When Porsha Williams first appeared on Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was a modern day Stepford Wife. She did whatever her then husband Kordell Stewart wanted her to do and she ran every decision from her activities with the other Real Housewives to her wardrobe selection by him. That’s a far cry from the independent woman that’s on the show today. Not only is Porsha holding down a job at Dish Nation, but she also just purchased her first house post-divorce and posted a super cute video to celebrate.
Post-divorce, the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star has been living in a massive suburban mcmansion out in the sticks, so she’d have closets for her dogs. Porsha must have realized the underground railroad doesn’t make stops out there and decide it was time to trade-up!
Yes, Kandi Burruss does have a new music group, but she is not actually one of the performers. Instead, Kandi is the woman behind the scenes with this one. The group is called LOUD and is described on the official Instagram page as an “urban pop group.”
I’m not positive how long Kandi has been working with this group, but knowing Kandi, she doesn’t take on any project unless she is super invested so I have a feeling we should expect big things from LOUD in the future.
