Do any of you remember that show starring Jim J. Bullock from the early '80s called Too Close For Comfort? I loved that show when I was little! Well, something tells me that Bethenny Frankel is feeling a bit cramped in her current living situation, although it's not sitcom with the hilarious Monroe!
I'll be honest, I think the entire cast ofReal Housewives of New York needs to be revamped…and STAT. I was actually excited that Aviva Drescher and all of her neuroses wouldn't be returning, but of course Bravo had to pull a fast one on all of us! It looks like Pinot Singer will have someone to spar with after all!
While I'm not at all shocked that Bravo would pull a last minute rabbit out of its hat, I do have to commend Aviva for what she has been doing recently regarding the tragedy in Boston. I may not like to watch her on my mindless reality circuit (seriously, it's like nails on a chalkboard), I do believe that she always has the best (although often misguided) of intentions.
It's been quite a week for Bethenny Frankel, especially after Friday's hearing in her divorce from Jason Hoppy. Now, she's focusing on more positive things, like her upcoming talk show. The Bethenny Ever After star calls her hour-long daily sitdown "a public girls' night out," and she's not shy about the topics she plans to highlight…and those she plans to bypass.
Speaking to ABC about the premise for her show, Bethenny explains, “I just have found as you get older, women insulate a little more because they’re just so busy and have so much going on. They don’t really get the chance to really sit down and talk about their marriages, their money problems, their sex problems, infidelity issues. That’s what my talk show is about.”
Aaahhh.. the tale of woe that that is Real Housewives of New York casting continues. Taping allegedly begins in three weeks for the much maligned show, but the cast still isn't finalized!
When only three of the five members from last year's cast appeared at the recent Bravo Upfronts, it was assumed that certain ladies had been handed their walking pumps. It then emerged that most of it came down to a numbers game and salary negotiations.
Ramona Singer is definitely returning next season, but according to a new report she was fighting tooth and nail for a big pay bump before being summarily shot down and was threatened with getting fired.
Reality Tea readers, y'all are in luck! We've found a real estate steal for you if you're willing to relocate to New York City for pocket change. Making the pot even sweeter? You could purchase the estate from a bona fide Bravo reality star. Who wouldn't want to live like Sonja Morgan (toaster oven not included)?
While her fate on the upcoming season of Real Housewives of New York was seemingly in limbo until recently, Sonja still needs to channel some creative money making schemes. Perhaps she should put her elegant Upper East Side townhome back on the market…oh, wait.
Sonja dished withTom Murro on returning to RHONY for the new season. Tom shared, "[first of all] Sonja looked smokin HOT! When I asked Sonja if she was happy to be back on the show, she said 'well, I am very happy, but hate being stuck in the Hamptons all summer because we shoot. I would rather be laying on a beach in San Tropez.'" We have to agree with Tom here, whatever Sonja's doing is working because she looks incredible!!
At the end of Jerry's performance he took a few questions from the audience. Heather Thomson asked him what his favorite sitcom was. Jerry deadpanned, ''you're really asking me what my favorite sitcom is?'' He then said "I'm pretty fond of myself.. but the greatest sitcom ever was The Honeymooners."
Rumor has it Sonja, 49, was there with her new 23 year old beau – Radar Online has that part of the story. Rawr Sonja!
Ramona and Mario Singer and Aviva and Reid Drescher were all attending, but not quite mingling, it seems.
According to Tom Murro, Ramona generously donated some of her Ramona Pinot Grigio for the event. "All the guests were commenting on how much they loved it, and of course Ramona was noticeably enjoying some herself." Of course.
When Tom caught up with Ramona, she gushed, "I loved the concert and such a great cause. It tremendous when celebrities use their fame for the good will of our planet ie rain forest etc. Sting and Trudie are an inspiration to us all, and it really shows how individuals can make a difference!"
