The last season of Real Housewives of Orange County was not a good look for Vicki Gunvalson, to say the least. She was super annoying, as per usual, hating on every one of her cast members because she doesn’t think they have the same work ethic that she does. Then Vicki took things a step further with her involvement in that whole Brooks Ayers fake cancer scandal.
No one wanted anything to do with her at the end of last season and I see why. Vicki was shitty friend to all of them and was extremely shady. Part of me wondered if she was going to come back to the show, but then I remembered that this is Vicki and she lives for the attention. I figured she would return to RHOC to an icy reception from the cast, and I have no idea if that happened, but it seems like it’s all good in the hood now. At least according to Vicki’s Instagram posts. And on top of that, Vicki has been bragging about having a new boyfriend. Well, she rebounded quickly. On many fronts.
I started watching the Real Housewives because I was fascinated by wealthy women living lifestyles that I could never possibly attain. Weirdly enough, I actually find myself relating to a lot of the cast members in regard to many aspects. Sure, I will never be a rich and famous reality star, but I do find myself agreeing with a lot of the comments that the women make. More often than that I have a “that’s so me” feeling when I’m watching these shows.
Yes, I know that I would never be able to pay thousands of dollars for a spin class to benefit a charity like RHOBH ladies did this past season. I also don’t have my own fitness studio to work out in like Tamra Judge does on RHOC. But I do have something in common with these women: the difficulty to stay fit. I’m not throwing shade and saying that they don’t look amazing – because they honestly all do – but just like myself, they have also complained about dieting and fitness pretty often. There have been a lot of times when the women from Real Housewives have understood the struggle to get in shape.
Just because someone isn’t a Real Housewife anymore, that doesn’t mean the fans stop caring about them. If anything, I feel like that makes me want to hear more about their lives since I don’t get to see them on TV these days. Back in the day, everyone on Real Housewives of Orange County really came for Alexis Bellino whenever they could, so it is nice to see that she seems to be doing pretty well these days.
I remember Alexis trying to figure out her career while still remaining devoted to her family. People gave her a lot of shit no matter what she did from the Alexis Couture fashion line to working as a television correspondent. And I recall Vicki Gunvalson pulling her standard “you don’t work as much as I do” criticism. Well, Alexis is doing just fine for herself and just acquired her fourth Sky Zone Trampoline Park location.
Good news – maybe?! – the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has already been renewed. Bad news – the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast won’t change much for season seven. Why can’t we have nice things?
Earlier today, Bravo announced the six new and fourteen returning shows that will fill its summer and fall schedules. Obviously, RHOBH is on the list for fall. It will be a while before the cast is set in stone and revealed; however, when a fan tweeted @ Andy Cohen that Lisa Rinna, Yolanda Foster, Erika Girardi, and Eileen Davidson must go, he replied, “No way!”
Are y’all still with me? If you haven’t taken a sledgehammer to your phone/tablet/computer because of Andy‘s bad judgementTweet, look below to find out what other questionable choices goodies Bravo has in store for viewers.
Instead of getting Botched, Heather got Chopped! She cut 6 inches off her hair (which otherwise looks exactly the same in every single way right down the center part), but she’s loving the subtle differences.
