Real Housewives of OC Season 6

They’re baaack! Following the recent announcement that the Real Housewives of Orange County will be returning for a sixth season on March 6, Bravo has now released the new cast photos and a video trailer.

And just as reported, there are indeed two new faces amongst the cast, while former housewife Lynn Curtin got LisaWuHartwelled the axe. Though as you can see in the trailer below, Lynn will make some guest appearances this season.

On the far left in the above photo is Fernanda Rocha. She is a 34-year old Brazilian fitness instructor, who made recent headlines for being openly bisexual. Fernanda is said to be a friend of Tamra’s.

And the other new housewife, seated on the far right, is Peggy Tanous, a 41-year old former model and now stay-at-home mom. “People call me ‘Feisty Peggy’ and I can definitely be feisty! I’m an Aries [with a] very strong personality. Friends say I’m the life of the party,” Peggy tells UsWeekly, also revealing she joined the cast at the urging of fellow housewife Alexis Bellino.

Joining Peggy, Fernanda, and Alexis this season will be Gretchen Rossi, Tamra Barney, and Vicki Gunvalson. The season trailer is below, while cast photos and what to expect from each of the housewives on season 6 is also below.

Weeks after originally filing bankruptcy, RadarOnline is now reporting that Simon Barney’s bid has been rejected.

If you recall, the Real Housewives of Orange County star and estranged husband of Tamra Barney, filed bankruptcy back in December 2010. He petitioned for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, citing the nature of his debts as “primarily consumer debts incurred by an individual primarily for a personal, family, or household purpose.”

Simon revealed he had between 1-49 creditors, with assets and liabilities between $50,001 to $100,000. According to Radar, the bulk of Simon’s debt was in the form of credit cards, with a claim from Chase Bank to the tune of $20,640.00.

Chapter 13 doesn’t dismiss one’s debts but rather allows individuals to undergo a financial reorganization supervised by the courts. As for the reason Simon’s bankruptcy was rejected, it was because Simon “failed to file schedules, statements and/or plan for the bankruptcy.”

In other news, OC housewife Alexis Bellino recently celebrated her 34th birthday. Her pal and costar Gretchen Rossi helped throw her a small birthday bash and according to Alexis’ facebook, her husband Jim Bellino dropped by to surprise her.

Photos from Alexis’ birthday outing below, and the 6th season of the Real Housewives of Orange County returns March 6 on Bravo. Vicki Gunvalson tweeted a few days ago, “Is back in Orange County!!! Are you excited when we return in March?! Make sure you have your kleenex out!”

During the TCA 2011 Winter Press Tour going on this week, Bravo announced several premiere dates and series renewals on Thursday.

The biggest announcement however came in the form of the widely talked about 6th season of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Bravo confirmed yesterday that it will be returning on Sunday, March 6 at 10pm.

Other big announcements included the return date of Bethenny Frankel’s show Bethenny Ever After (season 2), and the renewals of popular shows The Rachel Zoe Project (season 4), Millionaire Matchmaker (season 5) and Flipping Out (season 5). The recent season finale of Millionaire Matchmaker averaged 2.2 million viewers, the highest ratings ever in the show’s history, so the return is not a surprise.

Additionally, Bravo announced that casting is set to begin on the ninth season of Top Chef and that Top Chef Masters will return later this year for a third season with host Curtis Stone. Other shows renewed include Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. New shows coming this year include Platinum Hit with Kara DioGuardi which will debut this Summer and Rocco’s Dinner Party will air later this year. New series Million Dollar Decorators and Pregnant in Heels are both set to premiere in April.

A list of the shows announced with return dates below -

  • Million Dollar Listing – February 3 at 9 p.m
  • The Real Housewives of New York – February 15 at 10 p.m
  • Real Housewives of Orange County – March 6 at 10pm
  • Bethenny Ever After – February 28 at 10 p.m

Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen will also be moving to new nights, Tuesdays and Sundays, though no official date was announced for the move.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON BRAVO’S UPCOMING SHOWS?

We’re guessing this is good news for Alexis Bellino and husband Jim Bellino.

The OC Register is now reporting the foreclosure auction scheduled for Monday for the Real Housewives of Orange County stars has been postponed yet again. The new auction date? Feb. 10.

Though the Register adds that there’s a good chance the auction will not take place at all as Jim managed to find a technical loophole file bankruptcy for his company Global Marine Inc. a few weeks ago. The company just manages to hold the title to his house.

The 6,400-square foot, 6-bedroom house is currently listed for sale at $3,395,000, a far cry from the $4.56 million they paid in August 2007. The debt on the home is reportedly $4.7 million. You can see pictures of the home here. The Bellinos defaulted on the home loan twice last year, though they now claim they are still negotiating with the bank.

In other OC news, two weeks after a tentative ruling, an OC judge has officially ruled that Gretchen Rossi should pay her ex Jay Photoglou $40,799 in legal fees. This is in addition to the $22,000 she was also forced to pay him last May.

Gretchen had tried to sue Jay for defamation but is now just suing for assault, battery, stalking and other alleged offenses. Jay had asked for $85,000 in attorney fees, but the judge only awarded him half because a good portion of the lawsuit against him is still ongoing.

Jay’s attorney is however calling this new ruling a win. “We just keep getting victories, and we look to get more of them if she makes the decision to keep going with this case,” his attorney, Bryan J. Freedman told E! News. “We’re pleased,” he continued. “They tried to challenge the amount, they were unsuccessful, and the judge made the right ruling. And I have no doubt she’ll appeal it, and we look forward to her losing that also and paying more attorney’s fees for yet another poor decision.”

Is Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi hoping for a spin-off show a la Bethenny Frankel?

According to a new report by the Hollywoodnews.com, that answer is yes! Gretchen and boyfriend Slade Smiley, who are rumored to have gotten engaged on the show’s upcoming season, reportedly want a spin-off show to showcase their relationship.

Gretchen joins the likes of Kim Zolciak, who also wanted her own spin-off show following the news that she was pregnant for her NFL beau. But as of now, it seems Bravo is not moving forward with any plans for a Gretchen or Kim spin-off.

Moving right along to the Real Housewives of OC season 6. After Bravo aired a sneak peek of the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of NYC over a week ago, many fans were left wondering what the heck happened to the OC season? Well, fret not as it seems all is well in Bravoland and Bravo is still planning to air to the OC Housewives season 6, but in February and no longer January as tentatively announced last year.

A fan asked Tamra Barney when the show would be airing on her facebook page and Tamra replied today, “I don’t know yet… I hear next month.”

Gretchen also had a similar answer in a recent video interview she posted on her site about the upcoming season – “So we just wrapped season 6 and they’re saying it’s going to air like January/February so we should see how the end result is,” she said. We say February as Bravo typically releases the press photos for the housewives at least a month before their season airs.

So what can we expect from Gretchen on the new season? Well according to Gretchen, she is all about promoting her businesses this time around. “This season for me was all about my businesses, my handbag line that I just launched (the Gretchen Christine Collection) and then I have my make up line (Gretchen Christine Beaute). And it’s really kinda about that and a little bit about my own turmoil of dealing with do I want to be married or not?” said Gretchen.

Interesting, and finally Gretchen posted some holiday photos of she and Slade on her personal site. One of the photos included Slade’s rarely seen older son Gavin, who appeared on the 1st season of the OC Housewives. Alexis Bellino also posted some photos of herself wearing her New Year’s Eve dress on her facebook page. Those photos are below -

More bad news for Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi.

Just months after being forced to pay over $22,000 in attorney fees to her ex-boyfriend Jay Photoglou, RadarOnline is now reporting Orange County Superior Court Judge Gregory Munoz tentatively ruled on Wednesday that Jay be awarded fees and costs of $40,799.38 as a result of an anti-SLAPP motion he filed. The official ruling is expected to be finalized any day now.

This all stems from Jay’s lawsuit against Gretchen for libel, slander and five other counts. “We filed a motion for attorneys fees asking for $80,000 knowing, the truth is, the best we could do is probably get half that because we won half the motion,” Jay’s attorney Bryan J. Freedman told RadarOnline.

Gretchen, who filed a counter suit against Jay for defamation, suffered another legal blow two months ago when the same judge threw out a huge portion of her lawsuit against Jay, including claims of defamation, slander and portrayal in a false light.

Jay is also suing Gretchen for defamation. Jay’s case stems from Gretchen’s claims that she was never romantically involved with him though the countless number of photos leaked out by him show otherwise.

“But the good part is she’ll be writing a check for $40,000 or be held in contempt of court,” Jay’s attorney added.

In other OC news, it seems there’s yet another bankruptcy to report. According to Jezebel.com, Simon Barney, estranged husband of Tamra Barney, filed bankruptcy on December 2, 2010. While no additional details were reported, the site reveals it was chapter 13 bankruptcy. We will bring you more details as soon as we get our hands on it.

More bad news for Alexis Bellino and her husband Jim Bellino.

Just weeks after Jim, star of the Real Housewives of Orange County, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for his company, the OC Register is now reporting he is being sued for fraud.

The lawsuit which was filed in Orange County Superior Court in April 2009, alleges fraud, deceit, wrongful foreclosure, breach of written contracts and other complaints.

According to the suit, Jim, his lawyer Michael York, and California Empire Funding Corporation wrongfully foreclosed on a Laguna Beach property called the InVogue Hotel. The couple behind the suit, Shashi Tejpaul and Gail Duncan, are saying that despite making payments on the property and getting a written and verbal agreement from Jim and his lawyer, they still elected to foreclose on the property.

Jim, 48, and his lawyer York, who also happens to be his brother-in-law, however deny the allegations stating Tejpaul and Duncan made misrepresentations to obtain the loan, used the money for other purposes and stopped making payments on their loan.

Jim and his company have also filed a counter suit against Tejpaul and Duncan alleging fraud amongst other things.

The fraud suit against Jim is set to go to trial Jan. 10, which happens to be the same date the bank is planning to hold an auction on Alexis and Jim’s home which is still in foreclosure. The auction date was postponed to Jan. 10 after Jim filed bankruptcy protection for his company Global Marine Inc., which just happens to hold the title to the Bellino home.

The Bellinos’ attorney also tells RadarOnline that Jim and Alexis are not going down without a fight as they are now considering suing Chase Bank. “Right now we’re considering legal action against Chase, regarding the fact that they changed the terms of their loan modification agreement,” said York.
