In a battle of the hard-rocking against the famewhoring, my money will always be on Motley Crue. Iconic hairbander Nikki Sixx had enough of Kim Kardashian's vapid tweeting in light of the utter devastation in Oklahoma on Monday, and I have to applaud him. While many were expressing their sorrow at the horrific tornadoes that tore through the state, a clueless Kim was hawking her cosmetics brand.
Don't get me wrong, I know Kim meant no harm…she wasn't thinking. She never is. However, that's not really an excuse for her anymore. I'd be happy to give anyone a pass for being unknowingly insensitive, but she literally makes a career of it. Thankfully, Nikki said what the rest of the Twitterverse wanted to say.
This is the true story…of seven strangers…picked to live in a house/casino/fire station/fish market…and have their lives taped…as they concoct fabulous new culinary delights. Wait, what?
MTV is getting back to its roots…no, the network isn't going back to actually playing music, but it will be revamping the Real World genre with a culinary take–and it's casting now. Are you ready to apply?
Hollywood Exes returns for a second season with its original cast, Nicole Murphy, ex-wife of Eddie Murphy, Jessica Canseco, ex-wife of Jose Canseco, Mayte Garcia, ex-wife of Prince, Sheree Fletcher, ex-wife of Will Smith, and Drea Kelly, ex-wife of R. Kelly, as well as one new cast member, Shamicka Lawrence, ex-wife of Martin Lawrence.
Oh, Welcome to Myrtle Manor–you keep making South Carolina proud! The Learning Channel show follows the inhabitants of a Southern trailer park, and the cast is determined to make a name for themselves…maybe not through ratings, but through arrests.
In the last week, three of the cast mates were popped by the po-po with two being arrested over the weekend. Now two of the Myrtle Manor residents are facing DUI charges while another faces allegations of sexual acts with a minor. Oh goodness!
Another season, another slew of reality series! As we head into the summer months, we need even more mindless television to distract us from the fact that the weather is beautiful and we're all stuck inside working for a living. I have to say, Ryan Seacrest's channel is stepping up to the plate–and stepping away from the Kardashians–to bring us a whole gamut of new entertainment.
According to an E! press release, we have lots to look forward to in the vein of new reality shows from the network. From the boys of The Wanted to the WWE to the gray flannel clad Bachelor (you know who I'm talking about!), there is sure to be something for everyone!
Bravo called, and it wants another hit series which could spark another Housewives-esque franchise! The network is known for its over the top reality series showing the drama and opulence of lives far outside the average viewer's reach (aka, me). It's fun to peek into someone else's money fueled lifestyle for an hour in the evenings.
True to form, the network is introducing a new series that will allow us to do just that with the privileged girls of Long Island. Get ready, RT readers, Princesses: Long Island is sure to be Andy Cohen's next train wreck of a series, and I, for one, can't wait!
If you can't get enough of the Style Network, with shows like Kimora: House of Fab, Jerseylicious, Glam Fairy, and Big Rich Texas, you'll want to check out these new shows!
