First up is Danielle of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. “Don’t hate on each other so much,” advises Danielle. “It gets ugly, and it doesn’t make anybody look bad but yourself. And if you’re going to attack one person, believe me, you’re going to make them rise to the top. [points to herself] Hello.”
Keeping bankrupt cast-mate Teresa Giudice in mind, Danielle doesn’t miss a chance to to take a shot at her rival, advising the DC ladies to live within their means. “If you have it, don’t flaunt it, because it will come back to bite you,” she says. “Be humble. Be grateful for the opportunities you have. Try to teach your children that hard work is definitely something that will become lucrative to you in the end, and you do have to always remember where you came from.”
Next up is Kelly of the Real Housewives of NYC who begins by stating she won’t tune into the D.C. show, because it’s “not my game.”
Kelly however believes being on the Bravo hit show is a good thing regardless of the many downsides, you know such as the world questioning your mental health. “So what if someone calls you a name?” Kelly says. “Haters are part of the ecosystem. Have fun with it. I’m having so much fun with it, and I’m able to be charitable on top of it. And my kids love it. It’s a win-win. I don’t see anything wrong with it.”
She continues her crazy rambling, “Now I get to put my money where my mouth is, and actually go out there and be in the trenches and be part of what’s going on and be charitable, which is important. A lot of people are skinny cats and they’re like ‘yah, I’m so cool for school, I can’t go to a party because somebody’s going to recognize me.’ I’m like ‘how about taking the hat off, smiling, putting your name out there, giving the stamp of approval on whatever charity it is, and helping them so we can make people better.”
Despite the show’s high ratings, Bravo has yet to announce a second season, though it is likely there will be a season two. This season has brought us a wedding and the birth of Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy‘s first child.
In tonight’s episode, as Bethenny (slowly but surely!) adjusts to motherhood, her emotions take over when she must leave Bryn overnight to head out of town on business. With her new priorities, Bethenny is in tears as she heads out the door, leaving Bryn and Jason back in NYC. Luckily, once she’s back the new family heads for a vacation out in Montauk. Bringing along the whole crew, the baby nurse, Julie and Max, the trip is off to a rocky start when Jason and Bethenny realize they’ve forgotten a place for Bryn to sleep, along with many other essential baby items.
In other Bethenny news, just a week after some of the Real Housewives of DCcalled Bethenny their role model, the Real Housewives of NYC star is dishing out some advice to the DC ladies.
When asked by the HollywoodLife what she would like to tell the DC ladies, Bethenny says: “Be true to yourselves and don’t manufacture who you want to be on the show” she advises. “It’s not fool’s gold — you don’t go on television to be rich, famous and successful . You have to have something to back it up.”
She also advises the ladies to keep their kids away from the cameras as much as possible: “Look at what happened in Jersey,” Bethenny said “I haven’t really been watching, but I hear one of the Jersey daughters [Ashley] is in a fight with one of the Housewives [Danielle].”
“I would say keep your kids out of it as much as possible,” Bethenny suggested. “You’ve got to be an adult and know how to deal with it.”
Bethenny also took the time to thank DC Housewives Stacie Turner and Mary Amons for referring to her as their role model. “I think it’s really nice that the D.C. housewives say I’m the housewife role model,” Bethenny said. “That’s flattering and so nice!”

A report by Popeater today states that the Bravo Housewives are tired of being used by the network.
According to Popeater, “All the ladies have had enough of being used by Bravo and plan to start fighting back.” A source tells the site, “They are pissed that they only get paid $3,000 to tape each episode and are furious that they get paid nothing to tape the reunion episode. It’s two full days of their lives with no lunch breaks and no pay. Everyone on the set is getting a paycheck except the stars. How can that be right?”
The $3,000 per episode fee was unveiled in Teresa Giudice’s bankruptcy documents. However, that amount only applies to the Real Housewives of the New Jersey. Negotiations are done separately for each franchise and the Real Housewives of Atlanta did receive $100,000 each for their second season, and will be reportedly receiving $150,000 each for their upcoming season 3. One of the Atlanta Housewives confirmed the salary to the Atlanta Constitution Journal a while back. No word yet on how much the other franchises are receiving.
And in case you follow any of the housewives on twitter, you probably noticed a lot of them took a trip to New York last week, while not revealing what they were going there for. Well Popeater is now revealing the executives at Bravo decided to have the housewives make an appearance on ‘The Fashion Show,” in other to boost the ratings.
“None of the housewives wanted to be on ‘The Fashion Show,’” an insider dishes. “However, the network insisted they film all week for hours and hours, and to add insult to injury, they got nothing in return. Not even a thank you.”
Popeater also reveals that the reason the Atlanta Housewives decided to dial down the drama during last year’s infamous boring reunion show was because of money. The ladies reportedly took a stand together, agreeing not to fight unless they got paid. This reportedly led to Bravo paying the NYC ladies for their reunion, thus leading the drama filled 3-hour reunion special.
The reunion of the NJ Housewives is also being taped today and tomorrow in Atlantic city according to Popeater. It’s safe to say the entire premise of the reunion will be all the ladies vs Danielle. Wonder if Kim G. will make a special appearance?
So are the Bravo Housewives getting screwed? Absolutely. The Housewives series continues to hit ratings highs as the popularity of the show continues to soar all thanks to the ladies who decided to put their heads into this toilet to put their lives (the good and bad) on national television.
To give you an example of this, the main stars of MTV’s The Hills‘ were earning over $500,000 per season, while the Atlanta Housewives only earned $100,000 per season last year. The ratings of both shows? About the same, plus there are less cast members, meaning less people to pay on the Atlanta Housewives. So yes, I do think the ladies deserve more money, but then again, something tells me these women would do the show for free, as they all seem to want to be famous at any cost, or no cost at all rather.
Also want to add that the guy that wrote this article has relationships with a number of the NJ Housewives, so the source for this story is likely one or more of the NJ ladies.
In other NJ news, it seems Danielle Staub continues to hit new lows, even after the release of the self-leaked sex tape that came out earlier this year.
The Crushable blog is reporting that Danielle encouraged some crazed fan of the show on twitter, after he made some disturbing remarks about Ashley Holmes.
Twitter user @PriinceEdwiin tweeted the following to Danielle: “ItsMyBDAYToday And I Want @_ashleyholmes 2 kill herself & videotape so I can sit back, relax, & share the popcorn w/ @DanielleStaub.”
Danielle then tweeted back: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY boo!!!! May Every wish come true!!”
And despite the public outcry, Danielle has yet to take down the status. The story even makes this week’s issue of Life&Style with a “source” close to Ashley’s mom Jacqueline Laurita telling the mag, “No matter what happened between Danielle and Ashley, Danielle is the adult,” says the insider. “She’s a mother. What if someone said something like that about her kids? How would she react then?”

She’s baaaack! When most people suffer a mental breakdown on national television, they go away for a while, getting help, meds and all that good stuff, but not our Kelly Bensimon!
The Real Housewives of NYCstar, pictured above attending an event this weekend, is simply relentless and simply doesn’t know how to stop herself! She continues to prove her insanity by giving multiple crazyinterviews, making crazy twitter ramblings, taking crazyphotos, and dishing out crazydiet tips!
In her latest interview with Out.com, Kelly discusses her time on the housewives, her new passion for safe sex education(guess she’s over the whole anti-bullying campaign), and other crazy topics. While the interview is really long, the good folks at Jezebel were able to sum up the best 10 Inane Kelly quotes from the interview. A few of those are below -
1.) “I was at Mohegan Sun for the opening of their Mohegan Sun Days event, it’s their [monthly] GL — GLBT night. I always think that sounds like BLT.”
2.) “So then speaking with GMHC about safe sex and also just about bullying, I learned so much about how alternative lifestyles get bullied so much and I was really disturbed by that to be honest with you because I have been a model for a long time and I have had so much respect for people that have alternative lifestyles.”
3.) “Why do we have to be all flowers and lollipops. Why can’t it be like fighting but we are actually learning. That’s called back-door education.”
4.) “The one reason I would like to do my own show is because I am exposed to so many unbelievable people and so I would use my show as a vehicle to explore all these different people that I know, whether it would be Richard Meier to the man that helps me with my computers.”
5.) “[T]hey asked me to be on the show because they wanted me to legitimize the brand and they wanted a real socialite. They wanted a real New Yorker, if you will, on the show. And it was a great opportunity for me because it’s obviously got everything that I love, whether it’s my safe sex initiative or anti-bullying or working on my jewelry line or just having my books…”
6.) “[E]verybody knows my name so that’s a huge honor and I am really grateful to Bravo for exposing me and exploiting my name like that.”
A blogger’s dream indeed. While Kelly’s actions on the show left a lot of doubt about her mental health, her actions off the show have left little doubt for most fans of the show.
When asked what she plans to do next by Out, Kelly gave the following answer: “I am in the process of working on a really, really new project that is confidential and I can’t tell you about, but its going to be very, very exciting. It’s coming out in a couple of weeks and it’s a really big deal for me.”
And then seconds minutes later, Kelly revealed the top secret confidential project to Out (you know cause if she wants to change her mind about something, it’s totally cool): “I only want one thing. I want live stream. So every time I walk into the office, I want to be live. They’re like, “What are you talking about?” I said every time I walk into to the office I wanted to be live — on me in every single meeting. How do I work, how do I do things, how do I get things done?”
Just what the world needs, a live stream on a mentally unstable being. From reading Kelly’s interview, it’s pretty obvious she believes she is sane, and does not see or understand how the rest of the world views her. It seems Kelly has a major addiction to fame as well, and continues to put herself in the public eye in a continuously failing attempt to prove she is not crazy. She came back for a second season of the Real Housewives of NYC to repair her reputation, she posts several inane messages on twitter each day to prove her sanity, and she is now willing to put her life on live stream to prove she is not crazy, while feeding her fame addiction at the same time of course.
Unfortunately for Kelly, her latest attempt to do a Truman like show by streaming her daily life to the world only shows why she continues to be a danger to herself and hopefully not her kids as well. The results of her latest attempt to prove her sanity will be the same as her previous attempts. Perhaps its time for Kelly to finally realize she indeed has a problem, and focus on getting help instead of spending so much time trying to prove her non existence sanity to the world. And where are her loved ones? Why are they not intervening and helping this woman, similar to what Britney Spears’ family did?
TELL US – WOULD YOU WATCH A LIVE STREAM SHOW FEATURING KELLY BENSIMON?
Kelly, who just always happens to be in the same locations as the paparazzi, is pictured above walking in the SOHO district in NYC on July 13th. She gave a new interview to E! News during which she revealed what it would take to have her return for another season (perhaps Kelly should wait until Bravo asks her back first) and even suggests new additions to the NYC cast. Oddly enough, Kelly’s co-star Bethenny had mentioned a few weeks ago that she would only return if changes were made to the cast.
Kelly tells E! News on returning for another season – “We’re just going to see. The deciding factor is really just being able to celebrate these women—I don’t want to fight with people. That’s really like the big deciding factor, if it’s going to be authentic. If it’s not authentic, I don’t want to be a part of that.”
Kelly even has some suggestions for a new cast – “I’ve asked a lot of my friends. If they do want to change up cast, I have a lot of awesome friends that I’m sure would jump on with me. I’d be like, ‘Let’s have some good times. Let’s have some fun here.’”
Kelly is also open to making up with Bethenny – “We haven’t been in touch, because we’re not filming anymore,” Kelly explains, “but her value system has changed. I can be sensationalistic on camera, but my children are the most important things to me. So I’m happy that now we have something to bond over.”
Kelly, who plans on releasing an exercise video any day now, also continues to take her new calling as an health expert very seriously. This time around, she shares her diet and fitness tips with the HollywoodLife, “My largest meal is lunch and then I’ll have a lighter dinner, I eat a lot of carbs at lunch,” she said.
And what does Kelly eat for lunch 6 days a week? Brown rice, tofu and broccoli. Despite running 7 days a week, Kelly largest meal of the day is her 356 calories lunch, which also contains “a lot of carbs.”
TELL US: DO YOU THINK BRAVO WILL ASK KELLY BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON?
The Enquirer reports Countess LuAnn was at a club outside LA when she asked to borrow a cigarette from a young, tattooed, heavily pierced woman at the club. “LuAnn had a table and proceeded to feed the girl drinks, flirt and kiss for the rest of the night. She kept telling her how beautiful she was and how she reminded her of when she was younger. Her friends jokingly told LuAnn she was a lesbian cougar!”
Oddly enough, LuAnn is still dating boyfriend Jacques Azoulayand the two were just photographed at an event together on June 30th. If this story is true, LuAnn would be joining the likes of Kim Zolciak and Danielle Staub, as part of the Bravo housewives who have taken or pretended to have taken a dip or two in the lady pond.
So is Luann really bisexual? Or is this just a ploy to garner some publicity? Is the story even true, you know considering the source? So many questions, so little time.
“My mother hasn’t expressed any interest in meeting Bryn, which was shocking to my husband,” says Bethenny to Parade. “Life is hopefully long, so I don’t know what the future will bring. Right now, I would say no. I only want positive energy around her for as long as possible. Life will be difficult enough before she knows it.”
This comes just days after Bethenny’s cover story with PEOPLE magazine during which she opened up about her childhood abuse. “I never had a true childhood,” she tells People. “There was a lot of destruction: alcohol abuse, eating disorders and violent fights.”
Bethenny’s father is the now deceased highly known horse trainer Bobby Frankel. According to Bethenny, Bobby walked out on she and her mother, Bernadette Birk, when she was just 4 years old. Bethenny’s mom re-married another horse trainer named John Parisella when Bethenny was 5, which led to them moving homes seven times in over 10 years. Bethenny says her father cut her off when Bernadette accused him of keeping money from them. She also says her father seemed to resent her and punish her for the actions of her mother.
Things then got hostile with Bernadette and her new husband John. “The house would be in shambles,” Bethenny says of her mom’s vicious outbursts in which she would smash “dishes, pictures, the TV — anything she could see” and physically fight with John. Bethenny says she would either have to hide in her closet or call the police to break things up.
Bethenny also sheds light on her troubles with her weight and drugs during her teen years. She began starving herself and purging at the age of 13. “I was owned by dieting,” she says. “I hated myself.” Her situation worsened when she began clubbing in her teens, drinking heavily and even doing cocaine.
As for Bethenny’s relationship with her mother today, she says the two have barely spoken in the past 10 years. Bethenny however makes it clear she is over the past and is now in a better place with her husband and daughter. “I just want to give her the life I didn’t have,” says Bethenny of baby Bryn.
A blogger’s dream, Kelly Bensimon, is back in the headlines once again. This time around the Real Housewives of New York City star attempts to defend herself against those pesky crazy ‘rumors’ in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
And nothing says I’m not crazy like the above photo. We’re guessing the theme of the photo was meant to be fighting back, but all we see is a crazy lady with boxing gloves.
“I am not crazy. I am unpredictable,” declares Kelly, adding, “I’m not in therapy.” Interesting words coming from the 42-year-old mother of two who accused her co-stars of being “dangerous” and “unpredictable” during the reunion show. And in next month’s Glamour magazine, Kelly will declare, ‘I’m not crazy guys! Just a little dangerous.”
Things get even better as Bravo VP Andy Cohen also spoke to the magazine. “I think it was deeply disturbing. It seemed like she had a break of some kind, but I can’t say exactly what it was,” said Andy of the infamous St. John breakdown. Could Andy’s comments be a hint regarding Kelly’s unlikely return for another season? Perhaps.
And when it comes to her co-stars, Kelly has convinced herself is convinced they are jealous of her: “Whether it’s my nail color, my hair color, or the shoes I’m wearing, everything about me bothers them…They want to go to the parties I go to, they want to hang out with me, they want to do the things that I’m doing.” Her co-stars are about as jealous of her the same way Taylor Swift is jealous of Lindsay Lohan.
So how does Kelly explain her behavior to her two young girls? “I tell my girls, ‘Your mom gets paid to engage in inappropriate behavior.’ It’s an amazing opportunity for them to see that being mean is not okay. I tell them, ‘If you’re in a situation like this, walk out. Don’t come back with jelly beans.’” So in Kelly lala land, it’s okay for adults to engage in inappropriate behavior as long as they are getting paid?
And folks, you simply cannot make this up. The best writers in Hollywood couldn’t make this up. The August issue of Harper’s Bazaar hits newsstands July 20.
