Nick Viall as The Bachelor

Am I the only one who feels like the announcement that Nick Viall will be the next The Bachelor is getting more attention than any other Bachelor-related news in a while? It became official last week and people are still talking about it. Chris Harrison continues to insist that Nick is the best choice. However, The Bachelorette cast-offs Chad Johnson and Robby Hayes aren’t feeling it.

They sound a little bitter to me. After all, the trend for this franchise has been to pick the star for the next season from last season’s pool of contestants, which includes both Chad and Robby. Not to mention that Luke Pell has been doing a press tour of complaints after he was rudely shafted from the role at the last minute. With so many differing opinions about Nick, I have a feeling that a lot of people will be watching The Bachelor next season.

Luke-Pell-JoJo-Fletcher-Bachelorette

The fans from Bachelor Nation were collectively shocked when 2-time Bachelorette alum Nick Viall was named as the next star of The Bachelor. Everyone and their grandmothers thought that it was between Luke Pell and Chase McNary from JoJo Fletcher’s Bachelorette season. After all, that’s how the franchise typically works: the star of one season is a cast off from the season before.

So no one ever thought that Nick who was on the show two and three seasons ago was even in the running and when I say “no one” apparently this included Luke as well because he thought that he was chosen to star in the Bachelor and he was all set to film.

Nick Viall as The Bachelor

Is the FOURTH time the charm for Nick Viall? Or just pathetically famewhorey?

That is the question facing Bachelor Nation this morning. In case you missed it, Nick, who was runner-up on Andi‘s season of the Bachelorette, then hijacked Kaitlyn‘s season of the Bachelorette and was runner up again, then failed to find love on Bachelor in Paradise, was announced as the next The Bachelor lead, which many thought would be one of JoJo Fletcher‘s rejects, specifically Luke Pell or Chase McNary.

Chris Harrison, the most dramatic reality TV host ever, appeared on GMA this morning to explain the decision.

The Bachelor Nick Viall

After two seasons of rejection on Bachelorette and a season on Bachelor in Paradise, Nick Viall is done being the runner up.

Now, Nick will be the star of the next season of The Bachelor. Nick went from being a villain on his two seasons of The Bachelorette, to the likable voice of reason on Bachelor in Paradise.

Nick has been through it all with the Bachelor Nation fans and now he’s about to join the one show in the Bachelor franchise he hasn’t been a part of. Finally.

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd Pregnant

Dancing with the Stars is not a dating show, but it might as well be since so many of the stars end up getting together. Not only are Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovsky engaged, but they are also expecting their first baby.

And they are not the only reality TV couple with a baby on the way.  Everyone loves to hate on Bachelor and Bachelorette for producing and hyping up couples that do not last forever. Yes, the success rate for the franchise is less than stellar, but there are some exceptions. Case in point, Ashley Hebert fell in love with J.P. Rosenbaum during her season. They got married and had an adorable son named Ford together. And they just announced that their family is about to get even cuter.

E! confirmed this afternoon that they have ordered the new 8-episode series “Famously Single” and announced the first season cast will include Brandi Glanville, DJ Pauly D and more.

The “finding love” style reality show will not only feature Brandi and Pauly D, but also former Bachelorette star Josh Murray, singer Aubrey O’Day, model Jessica White, Somaya Reece, Willis McGahee and Calum Best.

Jade Roper Tanner Tolbert Get Engaged On Bachelor in Paradise

All of the drama, tears and fights are over, as another season of Bachelor in Paradise came to a close last night, but it didn’t happen without some good ole loving. Going into the finale, there were actually a few couples that everyone thought would leave together, and quite honestly, a few of them shocked us. But not so shocking was Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, who seemed to have the love story of the summer, and are now engaged.

After watching her close friend Carly get her heart broken when Kirk blindsided her and dumped her, Jade worried about whether or not she and Tanner would end up the same way. Luckily for Jade though, Tanner had no question in his mind of whether or not his feelings were real, as he mustered up the courage to tell Jade how much he loved her and was in love with her. Awe…

Million Dollar Listing David Parnes Adrian Abnosi

Sure, we all love our fair share of drama, but every now and then it’s nice to have some fun and share some happy news. If you’re looking for a fun teaser this weekend, be sure to check out our Labor Day Weekend blind items and share your guesses. Now, let’s take a break from all of the Dance Moms drama and Housewives bickering and check out which of our favorite reality stars have gotten engaged this past week.

First up this week was one of our favorite Million Dollar Listing LA agents, David Parnes. It’s no secret that Parnes is head over heels for his lady, Adrian Abnosi, and he made it official by proposing recently while the couple visited Italy.  And with a 4-carat, cushion-cut stone ring, how could Abnosi possibly say no?
