Last night marked the premier of The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love with new bachelorJake Pavelka, and it did not disappoint as there was the usual mix of desperation and drama amongst the 25 bachelorettes.
Jake eliminated 10 of the women leaving 15 still in the running to win his heart. However the question on everyone’s mind this morning is who is the scandalous bachelorette that cheated on Jake with a crew member? The season preview shows ABC teasing us by revealing of the 15 remaining women will betray Jake. “She’s been having this sexual affair with somebody else in The Bachelor house,” an unidentified bachelorette said in the promos.
So who is this scandalous bachelorette? Well do not read any further if you don’t want to know.
It is none other than 28-year-old model/makeup artist from Richmond, VA Rozlyn Papa. RealitySteve revealed that while Rozlyn did have an inappropriate relationship with a crew member from the show, she did not necessarily have a sexual affair with the male producer.
Bachelor host Chris Harrison also confirmed on Monday that a male producer had a relationship with one of the female contestants during filming and that ABC had to address the situation on camera in an episode this season. He however falled short of calling the relationship a sexual one.
“It was incredibly unfortunate. Horrible decisions were made,” Harrison told Sean Valentine, the morning radio host at KBIG-FM in Los Angeles. “It was embarrassing for us and in fairness to Jake and for the other women, [we said], ‘Let’s nip this in the bud and take care of it.’ And that’s what we did.”
By the way, next week’s episode will officially reveal the affair and the parties involved.

Ready or not! Tonight marks the latest season of The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love with Pilot Jake Pavelka. And as we have previously reported, this season will not disappoint as one of Jake’s bachelorettes was caught in a steamy affair with a crew member. Jake has played coy when asked whether or not he found love on the show, he does reveal in an interview with USWeekly magazine that he “went [into the show] on cloud nine and came out the same way.”
TVGuide spoke with the 31-year-old Dallas based pilot about his new season, how he responds to being labeled perfect, and why he has no regrets. Jake also shares a little TMI (too much information) when he reveals his aspirations to became a member of the mile high club. More excerpts from Jake’s interview is below -
TVGuide.com: What did you bring from your experience on The Bachelorette to The Bachelor? Jake Pavelka: When you’re on The Bachelorette, you have a lot of time to think, analyze and go over different conversations you’ve had. You don’t have a cell phone, your parents to talk to, your friends, and everything just slows everything down to a good pace. You start becoming really aware of how what you say affects people and it makes you a lot better at dating and in relationships.
TVGuide.com: Given the show’s not-so-stellar record, are you a bit skeptical of the process? Pavelka: Well, you can have everything in common with somebody, the same goals, same values, same temperament, same dreams, and there’s just not that indescribable magic spark that makes a relationship pop. So I didn’t go in pushing. I knew everybody would be unbelievable, and they were, but I was waiting to see where that spark was going to be. The show does have a bit of a rough history, people breaking up or changing their minds, and that’s OK. I tried to be very honest no matter how painful it was and I just remained really open-minded.
TVGuide.com: So then it’s safe to assume you were in the moment, whether that involved hot tubs or not? Pavelka: My answer to that is I’m going to go on there to be myself. In regards to the hot tub stuff, if I were to go in and meet a girl in Starbucks, date her, start getting really close and then jump into a hot tub with her with a swimsuit on, why not do that? That’s the problem that everybody tacks onto the show, “This isn’t real life.” It really is. So if you go on there trying to be something you’re not, “Well I would get in a hot tub in real life, but I’m not going to do it here because it’s on TV,” it’s almost a little hypocritical. You’re not being yourself and not allowing these women to get to know who you really are.
I stressed to the producers that that’s exactly what needs to happen this season: everybody being themselves. A lot of the dates and different activities we got to do on the show were geared around what I would do in my normal life — what dates scream Jake.
TVGuide.com: Last season, some of your fellow contestants thought you were too perfect. How do you respond to that? Pavelka: Is it perfect or too perfect? [Laughs] Well, being perfect, I think, what a compliment, golly! I don’t know what it is that makes people or made the guys on the show and Jillian say that I was too perfect. Something that I see in the dating world these days is a little bit of a lack of chivalry and it’s gotten so bad that women almost don’t expect it anymore. In my opinion, it doesn’t have anything to do with being independent or as strong as men. I just think it’s something that an attractive, intelligent woman should expect from a man. Just a little bit of chivalry.
TVGuide.com: Do you have dating rules you to like to follow? Pavelka: After an unbelievable date, if I want to call her the next morning, I’m just going to call. If that turns her off, “he’s smothering me, it’s too much too quick,” then that’s OK; we’re probably on two different pages and better now than later. When I like someone, I want them to know. Dating does not have to be that complicated. The one thing that is a little bit different on the show is it’s an accelerated process. If you’re truly interested, you got to lay your heart out there and do it quick and that’s something I’m really good at.
TVGuide.com: Well, since you’re a pilot, I have to ask: Have you joined the mile-high club? Pavelka: [Laughs] I am not a member of the mile-high club, but I’ll leave you with this: I aspire to be, no I don’t aspire to be, I will be.
The latest scandal to rear its ugly head from The Bachelor is that one of the young women looking for love with the new “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka was fooling around with a staff member from the show, according to reports. The incident became public when ABC aired a brief promo about the contestant. “She’s been having a sexual affair with somebody else in the Bachelor House,” one of the other women is heard saying on the clip, which has now been removed from the ABC website.
According to the NYpost, fansofrealityTV.com also revealed several weeks earlier that a male member of the show’s production crew and one of the contestants were romantically involved while “The Bachelor” was shooting in the fall. In addition, the website claims to have some inside information regarding the affair.
Officials from the show have refused to comment but this is somewhat interesting since reality shows prohibit cast and crew members from fraternizing off camera. Mark Burnett, producer of several hit reality shows including “Survivor” claims that his crew members are warned that merely talking to a contestant is grounds for immediate termination.
“The Bachelor” has been lucky with ratings – impromptu happenings like when Jason Mesnick changed his mind a month after initially proposing to Melissa Rycrofthave proved to be a ratings boost for the show. In the Reunion show, he announced he was really in love with the runner up Molly and dumped Melissa on national TV.
The episode where the alleged scandal takes place will air in late January, according to reports. However, no one seems to know which bachelorette was caught fooling around this season and the fate of the crew member. The bachelorette will however be one of the 15 that remained on after the first night of eliminations.
The new season of the Bachelor premiers January 4th on ABC.
In less than a week,The Bachelorwill premiere on January 4th on ABC. And as usual the bachelor, Jake Palvelka is at a dilemma as he struggles over who to keep and who gets to go home first out of the 25 ladies.
Fortunately for Jake, during the season premier episode former Bachelorette Jillian Harris and her beauEd Swiderskicome to his rescue. Let’s not forget that Jillian and Ed are making history since they are one of the very few success stories to emerge from several years of ABCs The Bachelor and Bachelorettes shows. The couple appears on the premiere and offer advice to Jake .
If this isn’t the blind leading the blind, then I don’t know what is.
In less than three weeks, Jake Pavelka’sseason of the “The Bachelor” On the Wings of Love,” will premiere Monday, Jan 4th on ABC. The question on everyone’s mind is did Jake find love? In a recent interview, Jake talks being the new Bachelor, the 25 amazing bachelorettes, relationship with Wes Hayden and more.
In a previous interview, Jake promised a dramatic and steamy season. And we love drama! Overall, it seems like Jake had a great experience and may have found his soul mate even though he didn’t confirm or deny it.
Below are excerpts from Jake’s interview:
Did you find someone special on the show?
I don’t want to ruin the ending but I will say I stayed true to myself. From the very beginning, I went in and said very honestly if I find love, I’ll come out engaged. If I don’t find love and don’t have that feeling, then I won’t. I didn’t promise a ring at the end of this and I stayed true to myself and didn’t necessarily do what everybody wanted me to do.
What were the girls like?
All 25 women were absolutely amazing, very high caliber. All walks of life. Just incredible journeys. I’m sitting here just running different girls through my head and they were all amazing, really amazing.
What was your reaction when you were approached to be the next bachelor?
I did a back-flip on my front lawn. I was so excited. I was just really flattered and humbled to be considered and have it actually happen. I still can’t believe that all of this happened.
What made you decide to do the Bachelor? Was there any one deciding factor?
The one deciding factor was how well Jill and Ed were matched up. Casting and producers knew Ed really well; they knew and loved Jillian with a mad passion. The way it feels when you’re going through this journey is like your best friend that knows you setting you up with the perfect girl. In this case, it happens to be 25. You know how a lot of times in life, your best friend knows you but also knows this girl over here and they make a match and it ends up working. That’s exactly what I saw in Jill’s season and that was the determining factor.
Jillian very famously had some steamy scenes during her seasons that she said she had to apologize to her dad for. Are you in the same position to apologize to your parents for any steamy scenes?
In a normal dating relationship, would you get into a hot tub in a swimsuit with a girl? Yes. I’ve done that in past relationships. Why would I not do that now and give the relationship every chance I can? I don’t think I have anything to apologize for. I’m very confident with how I handled myself on the show.
The 14th season of The Bachelorpremieres on January 4 at 8 PM on ABC, and ABC has now released the photos of the 25 bachelorettes vying for the love of Jake Pavelka.
The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love will begin with the 31-year-old commercial pilot from Dallas, TX arriving at the same Malibu mansion where he first met Jillian Harris, who rejected him duringThe Bachelorette’s fifth season earlier this year. As we reported earlier, Jillian and fiance, Ed Swiderski, will be on hand to assist Jake in picking the right women on the premier episode.
In a new interview with USA Today, Jake promises a very dramatic and rocky season. “I can tell you from the get-go, it is a very rocky and dramatic season,” said Jake. “Some of the things that happened on the show, drama-wise, floored me.”
The question on everyone’s mind is did he find love? But did he find love? “I don’t want to ruin the ending,” he says. But adds, “I stayed true to myself from the very beginning. I went in and said very honestly, if I find love I’ll come out engaged. I didn’t promise a ring at the end of this and stayed true to myself. I didn’t necessarily do what everybody wanted me to.”
Jake, 31, reveals that picking the right woman was a bit tougher than he anticipated, “Half way through the entire journey, I still had no idea whatsoever. It was cast so well for my temperament. I had a lot of romance. My heart went out to multiple women.”
Interestingly, missing from the cast is Brittney Gammel. Brittney is the 25-year-old Learjet pilot from Franklin, TN, who had been cast to be on the show. That is until she prematurely revealed back in October that Jake had been chosen to be the new Bachelor. The problem was ABC had yet to formally make the announcement and was planning to do so 2 weeks later during a DWTS episode.

Melissa opens up in the latest issue of InTouchWeekly about her wedding details and Tye. The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant and GMA correspondent married Tye, a Dallas-based insurance executive, on Saturday, Dec. 12 in a romantic ceremony in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Invited were over 200 friends and family. It was their second ceremony as the first took place in the U.S. to make sure their union was legal.
Melissa tells InTouch magazine she was “fine” until ‘Here Comes the Bride’ started playing. “I think everything hit me at once. My dad started to walk down the aisle, and I just stopped him. I grabbed his arm, and I was like, ‘Hold on,’ and I started crying. And I saw Tye, and bless his heart, he had these big tears in his eyes, too. It was very emotional,” Melissa explains.
Tye was also taken back, saying: “When I saw her, I just lost my breath – like I was in a football game and had the wind knocked out of me … I’ve never felt that way in my whole life, and I just couldn’t help it. She was the most gorgeous bride I’ve ever seen in my life, and it was amazing. It was absolutely perfect.”
You can read more about the wedding in the latest issue of InTouch Magazine.
Melissa Rycroftis officially a married woman. The 26-year-old Good Morning America correspondent was dumped on national TV earlier this year by The Bachelor winner – Jason Mesnick. Jason proposed to her on the finale, and then later changed his mind. All that drama is now in the past for Melissa as she exchanged vows Saturday afternoon in Mexico with fellow Texan – Tye Strickland.
“Tye is my best friend in the world, and now he’s my partner forever. We have had such a journey within our relationship, that to finally look at him and see my husband, gives me the calmest, most content feeling in the world,” Rycroft told In Touch Weekly. “I love him so much and am so excited for our forever to begin!”
Melissa got married in a beautiful Alfred Angelo gown. Tony Dovolani, Melissa’s dance partner on Dancing With The Stars and the Bachelorette’sJillian Harris were on the guest list. Both Melissa and Tye dated on and off for a couple of years before finally reuniting earlier this year. We certainly wish them the best.
