The two-hour special titled “The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding” is set to air March 8. Shockingly enough, this will only be the second wedding in the history of the Bachelor franchise. The special will include Molly’s dress fitting, planning for the big day, bachelor and bachelorette parties and the ceremony. Past “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” couples and contestants will reportedly be on the guest list.
This isn’t the first time ABC has aired a Bachelor wedding. Trista Rehn and husband Ryan Sutter, who met on “The Bachelorette” in 2002, also had their wedding televised on ABC. It proved to be a big hit as it drew more than 17.1 million viewers.
Jason and Molly’s upcoming wedding will mark the latest twist in the Bachelor’s narrative that’s extended through a couple of seasons of the Bachelor franchise. Jason was one of the final two bachelors on DeAnna Pappas‘ edition of “The Bachelorette.” He became the first single dad on “The Bachelor” after being dumped by DeAnna, and then proposed to Melissa Rycroftin the finale, only to change his mind and break up with Melissa on national television and instead choose Molly.
All seemed to end well as Melissa got married last December, and Jason and Molly got engaged back in October, 2009.
TELL US – WILL YOU BE TUNING IN TO JASON AND MOLLY’S WEDDING?
Jake Pavelka shocked a lot of viewers Monday night when he sent home four ladies vying for his heart instead of the three he was required to.
In one episode, he went from having 9 bachelorettes to having his final 5, a first in The Bachelor history. In a new interview with TVGuide, Jake opens up on why he sent 4 women packing, he also discusses Rozlyn Papa and why we can expect the finale to be a shocker.
The latest issue of UsWeekly magazine also claims Rozlyn started her affair with the Bachelor producer Ryan Callahan months before the show actually started filming. Rozlyn has denied this ofcourse. Excerpts from Jake’s interview below -
TVGuide.com: On Monday’s episode, you decide to “clean house.” What prompted that decision? Jake Pavelka: I’m starting to get close with some of the women, and it’s lulling with some of the others. So I don’t know if Chris [Harrison] would let me do it, but I make some odd requests to break up the protocol of the show and break the standard model that they normally like to follow.
TVGuide.com: How much do you let the some of the women’s opinions about other contestants on the show affect your decisions? Jake: The most important thing was me. I want to see things for myself. I know what to watch for. They were telling me these things about Vienna. The problem with that is it’s starting to get so out of control, even women like Ali are starting to get into it. It’s like I’ve got 15 minutes with you. Do you really want to throw all these other girls under the bus when you’re spending time with me? I’m seeing some true colors here.
TVGuide.com: Speaking of Vienna, you looked terrified on your bungee jump date. How much of your input goes into planning the dates? Jake: When we were talking about doing that date, I didn’t have a particular girl in mind. There was some conversation when I heard her say, “I’m so afraid of heights.” I thought, “Uh oh. I know what I’m doing with you.” [Laughs] When the dates get planned, once the girls are cast and everything … I throw some things out there that I’ve done that have really worked out for me in past relationships. Then, they kind of modify it a little bit. So it’s really great getting to be involved. It’s really me.
TVGuide.com: What can you tease for viewers about the end of the season? Jake: I think the ending is probably going to puzzle a lot of people, and I think some others are going to go, “Ok, yeah. If you look back, you could see this.”
TVGuide.com: Have you been following the Rozlyn scandal in recent weeks? Jake: She made some terrible decisions. It happens to everybody. This was just a very public one. I hope that she and the staff member are in love, and I expect an invitation to the wedding because it was really costly for the both of them.
My thoughts on the Bachelor so far – This season has been good thus far especially with the whole Rozlyn affair drama. I do get the feeling though that Jake decided early on that he really liked a few women, and therefore did not give some of the other women a fair chance as evident by him sending home 4 women on Monday night.
The big issue this season that keeps coming up is why do the other women hate Vienna so much? Is it jealousy become she has a strong connection with Jake? or is she really just a crappy person and ABC is giving her a good edit? The whole thing seems a bit bizarre. Even sweet and happy Tenley does not like her. With the exception of her telling Jake she wanted to go last for the one on ones during the group’s date in the recent episode, I haven’t really seen a reason for the other women not to like her. I’m guessing we are not getting the whole picture with the editing.
What I am certain of is that Ali has turned me off a lot with her attitude in the last few episodes. Okay we get it, you don’t like Vienna, but geez do you have to talk about her every chance you get? She really needs to let it go and focus on Jake. Plus the whole if Jake picks her, then I plan on having a talk with him was a bit too much. I mean is she Jake’s mommy? Is she going to scold him? I think Ali’s true colors are starting to show, and pretty they are not.
TELL US -WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE BACHELOR SEASON THUS FAR? WHO DO YOU MAKE OF THE VIENNA DRAMA? AND JAKE SENDING HOME 4 WOMEN?
The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka is promising us that we ain’t seen nothing yet when it comes to the ABC dating show! According to Jake, we should expect another dramatic event in his season of The Bachelor, he even promises this will be much worse than the Rozlyn Papa drama.
Really? much worse than a bachelorette cheating on you Jake? In a new interview, the 31 year old pilot reveals the lowest point “is yet to come,” Jake tells ET. “It won’t be any secret,” he adds.
“Horrible. Awful. On a scale of one to 10, it nears a 10.” Jake admits that the to-be-revealed event created “devastation” for him. “It is juicy now,” he teases. “It is going to get a lot juicier.”
There have been spoilers revealing one of the girls will end up leaving the show on her own accord, could that be what Jake is referring to? Only time will tell.
As for the dishonest and crazy women on his season, Jake claims he harbors no ill will toward Rozlyn nor Michelle Kujawa, who left the show under less than ideal circumstances. Of Rozlyn’s alleged affair with a show producer, he adds, “If she truly found love, then I’m happy for her.” Sure you are Jake.
Jake also continues to dodge the engagement question. “My parents don’t know,” he scoffs. “They don’t have any idea of the outcome, so it is amusing to think that there are people out there who do.”
Every season of The Bachelorhas a resident “crazy” person. You know that desperate woman who feels she is the one for whomever the Bachelor is, and feels she is entitled to his time and affection.
Well folks, meet Michelle Kujawa, as she very well lived up well to that title this season. Michelle recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about her time on the show, and feelings for Jake Pavelka.
Michelle told Ellen she’d return to the show if she had the chance but that “it’s too late.” At least she realizes it’s too late.
The 26-year-old office manager, who threatened to leave the show twice before finally begging asking Jake to kiss her, which he reluctantly agreed to, opened up about that awkward kiss. “I was in it full force and I didn’t feel anything back from him so why waste each other’s time?” Michelle said.
When asked by Ellen is she thought Jake had made a mistake by sending her packing, she replied: “I think it would have been different if we had a one-on-one date because it is really hard to get to know somebody [on a] group date. It was like eight of us and it was the whole day and evening and I didn’t even get to talk to him until that night.”
Michelle however seems to have a sense of humor about her crazy appearance on the show, saying she can only “laugh” about how she was portrayed. “You have to expect something like that going into the show,” she said. “They have to show drama.”
The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka appeared on The Ellen Show today to discuss his current season.
Jake was however coy when asked by Ellen DeGeneres whether or not he found his soulmate on The Bachelor. “Did you find someone?” DeGeneres asks him. “Because you are done shooting it, right?”
“Yeah, we finished up a couple of weeks ago,” Jake replied. “You know, you don’t have to choose anybody.”
He did however admit to falling in love with more than one woman. According to Jake, he says he didn’t know it was possible to have feelings for multiple women at once — until he filmed the Bachelor.
“The world tells you that your heart can only be in love with one woman at a time, and that is absolutely not true,” the 31-year-old pilot says. “That is one of the things I learned on the show. Your heart can fall for a lot of people at the same time and it’s painful.”
In other Bachelor news, the host Chris Harrison continues to trash contestant Rozlyn Papawho was accused of cheating on Jake during the show’s filming. In a new interview with the New York Post, Chris says he regrets going easy on Rozlyn when he confronted her.
“I can’t let that happen again. I just need to go out there and butcher a girl on live TV like she is on a witness stand.” He however would like her to return to the show’s reunion to tell her side of the story. “Hopefully she will come on to the ‘Women Tell All’ episode and sit down and talk to me,” Harrison tells The Post.
Chris also confirms the producers identity is Ryan Callahan, he is surprisingly friends with Callahan and wishes his name and identity never become public. “It really sucks that [Callahan's] name came out and his picture came out, because that was never our intention,” says Chris.
ABC has announced that coming soon on their network is a new show titled Bachelor Pad, which will feature past Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants living and competing together in a Big Brother style challenge.
Bachelor Pad will bring back 20 memorable contestants from the previous 13 Bachelor and five Bachelorette seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog. The program will represent the first “all-stars” reunion series for the franchise.
“All these people have been friends, been enemies, they date each other and bring all this great backstory to the show,” says executive producer Martin Hilton. “It seemed like there was an opportunity to combine that world with a new competitive reality show.”
Though the contestants have yet to be revealed, Hilton says top players and former winners of the previous seasons will be on the show. The show will feature various challenges, some inspired by incidents from past seasons. Contestants will be eliminated from the house at the end of each episode.
The Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison will be hosting the show, which is set to premier during the summer.
More details are coming out about the Bachelorstaffer involved in the affair scandal with contestant Rozlyn Papa. The said staffer, Ryan Callahan (pictured above), was a Senior Producer on the show. He has also worked on other shows including The Bachelorette, PussyCat Dolls and The Cougar.
According to E! News, Callahan “had a girlfriend that worked on the show at the time. They were together, and he cheated on her with [Papa].” The girlfriend has since broken up with him since details of the affair hit. RadarOnline also reports Callahan is still married, though his wife filed for divorce in May 2009.
And while 28-year-old Papa continues to maintain that she did not have a sexual relationship with Callahan, others continue to say things did get physical with Callahan. Jake Pavelka says in an interview airing Monday on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that other women in the house came up to tell him they had seen Rozlyn and Callahan getting physical with each other.
So what exactly does physical mean? Well recently eliminated contestant Ashley Elmore shed some light on that during a recent interview. According to Ashley, she heard her costars say they saw Rozlyn “snuggling” and “cuddling” with the producer, including lying on a couch with her hand on his thigh.
Jake also says he had began to develop feelings for Rozlyn. “I had strong feelings for Rozlyn,” says Pavelka, 31. “We had an unbelievable date.”
RadarOnline is reporting the said staffer is senior producer Ryan Callahan, who was fired after rumors circulated that he became romantically involved with the 28 year old model from Richmond, VA.
Rozlyn has always maintained the affair never got physical. “What they mean by inappropriate relationship is not what inappropriate relationship means in the real world,” Rozlyn said. “I had a relationship with someone on the show that didn’t benefit them. We remained really close but we are not dating now.”
But that’s not all as Radar is also reporting Callahan has a reputation for being the ladies’ man despite being married. Photos of Callahan have yet to leak but he has worked on shows including The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, PussyCat Dolls and The Cougar.
In related news, the war of words between the show’s host Chris Harrison and Rozlyn continues to rage on. Chris maintains Rozlyn is not being truthful about what really happened. “She’s definitely not telling the truth,” said Harrison during Tuesday’s Entertainment Tonight broadcast.
“Not only was there an inappropriate relationship, but it was a physical relationship between Rozlyn, between our crew member while she was on the show, period,” affirms Chris.
Rozlyn on the other hand gets more specific on what took place between she and the producer. When ET’s Kevin Frazierasks Rozlyn if she kissed the producer, she replies, “I did not kiss the producer.” Did she hug him? “I’m sure I did at some point.” Did any physical contact happen that could’ve been interpreted as inappropriate? “No, there was nothing between the producer and myself that any sane person would consider inappropriate.”
UPDATE: According to Radar, the producer Ryan is still married though his wife Stephanie Thorpe filed for divorce back in May 2009. E! News is also reporting he had a girlfriend while working on the show. A photo of Ryan is below -
