We are now getting a first look at Ali Fedotowsky as the newest Bachelorette on the block. ABC has released some press photos of the 25 year old formerBachelor contestant.
According to numerous reports, Ali started filming her season two weeks ago. The two-hour premiere of The Bachelorette will debut on ABC Monday, May 24 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
It’s safe to say ABC is trying to project Ali as the girl next door by having her wear a pair of sneakers with her dress; allrighty then. More on the press release below -
“Ali, 25, has been a fan favorite from the moment she stepped out of the limo with her sexy raspy voice and a peacock feather to meet Jake Pavelka on the last season of The Bachelor. She became the front-runner for Jake’s heart, but instead they found themselves in a heartbreaking situation when she made a gut-wrenching decision to choose a job she loved over the man she loved. Ali made the surprising safe choice to go back to work, but regretted it immediately.
But it’s not too late for Ali now. Admitting that she made one of the biggest mistakes of her life, she has let go of everything this time her apartment, her job, her stability to really make a life-changing commitment to put her heart first.”

The season’s Bachelor finale was rather uneventful thanks to the leaks and accurate spoilers that found their way online since January.
Jake Pavelka, 32, did what had been heavily reported, by picking Vienna Girardi, a 23-year-old Florida-based marketing representative to be his fiance, over Tenley Molzahn, 25. The couple appeared on the After the Final Rose show, and appeared very much in love. When asked about a wedding date, they revealed they had yet to set one, but Vienna does plan on moving to Texas to be with Jake.
The biggest shocker of the night actually came when Jake was announced to be one of the contestants on Dancing With The Stars.
Ali Fedotowsky,25, was also named as the new Bachelorette, which did not come as a surprise, because this information was also leaked weeks ago. “I’m so excited!” she told host Chris Harrison. “I am so thrilled and honored and grateful. I just can’t believe it.”
For some reason, ABC keeps telling us Ali is a viewer’s favorite, when in fact most viewer comments about Ali have been very negative. Perhaps people will tune in because they love to hate her.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE FINALE? ON ALI BEING THE NEW BACHELORETTE?
The Bachelor’sJake Pavelka has narrowed down his final choices of bachelorettes to the final 2, and according to our Bachelor poll, an overwhelming 81% of you are pulling for TenleyMolzahn to win Jake’s heart.
Another person who seems to be rooting for Tenley is someone all too familiar with the situation. Former BacheloretteJillian Harris reveals to UsWeekly that she is Team Tenley, while her fiance Ed Swiderski is pulling for Vienna.
UsWeeklyinterviewed both Jillian and Ed, during which they shared their thoughts on this season’s Bachelor, and discuss their openness to having a televised wedding.
Us: What are your thoughts on the women on this season’s Bachelor?
ES: We had a chance to meet most of the girls, and I still take them at face value, yes I’m biased because I went through the ringer with you guys, but the truth is I read that stuff and I’m like she’s [Vienna's] a normal person, she really is, yes she’s gone through some weird stuff, she had some fun and whatever she did, but she’s been pretty loyal to Jake as far as we know.
JH: The thing is everyone has a past, everyone was young and dumb at one point, everyone was vulnerable at one point, everyone has made mistakes, we all have our skeletons in the closet, and maybe she has more for whatever reason. If he picked her or if he picked any other girl, it doesn’t even — we hope that it will last, but in the grand scheme of things this is supposed to be fun and it’s supposed to be light-hearted and there’s so many more awful things in the world to stress out about. For me I just look at it and am like well she probably shouldn’t have done all the bikini shoots and maybe shouldn’t have signed up for the show but everybody is human and all those girls on the show deserve to find happiness. Not one of them is a vindictive awful bad person.
Us: Having been on the show and talked to Jake, who’s your preference? JH: I’ve always thought Tenley was a good person for [Jake].
ES: They come off as the perfect couple I think because they’re both religious, they’re both praying to end up together. But who knows. Maybe Vienna is a better person than she’s being portrayed. Ali I don’t know, there’s something about her that rubs me the wrong way. She was a bit too sassy for my liking. I think she was cute, a great-looking girl, great personality, intelligent but maybe she was a little too sassy. She left a little too easily I thought. Us: What advice would you give to Jake?
JH: It’s so hard because as much as you say hang on tight, don’t listen to what anyone says, lean on your friends and family, it’s hard.
ES: It’s got to be like one-on-one get through it together, otherwise you won’t. you can’t just say ignore it, it’ll go away, because it’s not going to go away. You have to learn how to deal with it and either improve your relationship or move on.
RealitySteve is the same blogger who correctly revealed the correct finalists of the show early on during the season. According to the blogger, Ali has agreed to do the show and will start filming her Bachelorette season next month around mid-March. ABC is set to publicly announce the new Bachelorette within with next week or so.
In the meantime, Ali made an appearance on The Ellen Show this week and pretended to be unaware of her new role. When asked about rumors she will be the next Bachelorette, Ali played coy: “That would be so nice,” she said. “I would be so flattered.” And although her employer[Facebook] forced her to choose between Bachelor and her job, Ali says “If [ABC] were to ask me, that would be so great.”
The Bachelor host Chris Harrison also hints at this when he told TVGuide.com in a new interview that Ali would make an excellent Bachelorette. “I think she would be a fantastic Bachelorette. I like women that have loved and lost, have learned a lesson, and you have Ali, obviously beautiful, a very down-to-earth, career-driven woman who learned a great lesson about love,” said Chris.
And there you have it, Ali will indeed be named the next Bachelorette.
TELL US – ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THIS CHOICE? DO YOU WANT SOMEONE NEW AS THE BACHELORETTE?
Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harrisand fianceEd Swiderskimade a special appearance onthe Bachelor early on this season as the two were set to publicly announce their wedding date. Things however changed when the couple asked ABC to remove their wedding date announcement from the episode.
Their reason back then was that they wanted more privacy. However in a new interview with RadarOnline, it seems the couple have decided to slow things down a bit.
“Well, our wedding plans are coming along slow,” Jillian revealed. Ed quickly chimed in: “We want to do it right.” He added, “I would say the size is not that important as well we need a location. We need a venue that supports the dates that we want.”
In a different interview with Inspiredbythis.com, Jillian reveals their wedding will likely be taking place next year, and no longer Fall 2010 as they had previously planned. When asked if she had a wedding date, Jillian said “no, not yet!” She added that they aren’t ready to commit to a date. “I’m pretty sure I know where I want to do it, what I want to wear, and who I want to come, but that’s really it.”
When asked about rumors she wanted Ed to propose to her again in private and away from the cameras by RadarOnline, she revealed, “I think that would be nice, but… I am not waiting to get married for that. But like, let’s just discuss it again non-televised…in private.”
Ed also joked about this Bachelorseason, mainly Ali leaving early for work, something he did to Jillian last season. “People just think they can come and go every time they please,” he said about Ali “pulling a Swiderski.” Added Jillian: “She might come back. You’ll see if Ali loves Jake as much as Ed loves me.”
Every time I read something about this couple, the first thoughts to race through my head is “She’s still with him?” and “They’re still together?” If you’re wondering why those thoughts, it has to do with the very widely publicized cheating scandal that plagued Ed last year. You can read all about that here. With that being said, it’s good to see them taking things slow and more power to them.

ABC has announced that coming soon on their network is a new show titled Bachelor Pad, which will feature past Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants living and competing together in a Big Brother style challenge.
Bachelor Pad will bring back 20 memorable contestants from the previous 13 Bachelor and five Bachelorette seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog. The program will represent the first “all-stars” reunion series for the franchise.
“All these people have been friends, been enemies, they date each other and bring all this great backstory to the show,” says executive producer Martin Hilton. “It seemed like there was an opportunity to combine that world with a new competitive reality show.”
Though the contestants have yet to be revealed, Hilton says top players and former winners of the previous seasons will be on the show. The show will feature various challenges, some inspired by incidents from past seasons. Contestants will be eliminated from the house at the end of each episode.
The Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison will be hosting the show, which is set to premier during the summer.
The Bachelor host Chris Harrison, confirmed to RadarOnline that Jillian andEd will definitely tie the knot and have finally set their wedding date. Apparently, the two were suppose to announce their wedding date on Monday night’s premier episode of the Bachelor, but they later had a change of heart after deciding they wanted some privacy for their wedding.
ABC had teased weeks before the premier that Jillian and Ed would make a special announcement on the show. An ABC spokesperson confirms to RealityTVWorld that the announcement was indeed going to be a wedding date. “They were worried about how the announcement would have affected their personal life, so they decided to pull it.”
It is a bit surprising to see these two going the distance considering the fact that two women came out publicly last year with evidence claiming Ed had cheated on Jillian with both of them. Lindsay Johnson and Bethany Steffen claimed that Ed slept with both of them during his relationship and engagement with Jillian.
Jillian has always stood by her man by dismissing the claims of the other women. “It was strange the way they were attacked and kind of still are, but they are kind of like what the hell are you going to do? They are living their lives and they are doing good,” Harrison said of the couple.
The couple told GMAa few months ago that they expected to get married in Canada.
