The Bachelorette’s 5th season ended tonight with a normal ending, which is somewhat of a shocker nowadays. Jillian Harris ended up picking Ed Swiderski, an IT consultant from Michigan. She also accepted his proposal.
The finale however had a twist that involved previously eliminated contestant, Reid Rosenthal, returning to propose to Jillian. Jillian pretended to be confused before eventually turning Reid down.
Kiptyn was the first to get the bad news from Jillian, and is also heavily rumored to be the new bachelor. Congrats to Jillian and Ed, or should be wait until the After The Rose show before we start congratulating?
Also, the rumors that Ed came on the show with a girlfriend have never been substantiated, so we have no reason to believe Ed was two-timing Jillian as of today. Actually love Ed and Jillian together, so I hope it works out for them.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK JILLIAN MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE?
The Bachelorette finale is tonight! And there are a lot of speculations at to what will happen. Who will Jillian Harris pick? Do not read further if you do not want to know any spoilers.
Unlike last season, the producers of the show have done a pretty good job in keeping the finale results sealed. We however have some details on what will likely happen.
What is all but certain is that Kiptynwill not be the winner. He is heavily rumored to be the new bachelor.
Another certainty is that Reid will be coming back to the show. It seems he will be proposing to Jillian as well.
So that leaves us with Ed and Reid. Everything seems to be pointing to Reid not being the winner.
That leaves us with Ed. This is where the confusion comes in. Will Jillian pick Ed to be her man or will she pick no one?
A lot of the information as well as interviews Jillian has given points to her picking no one, and not being engaged. Then again this could be the producers playing a trick on us, as they tell her what she can and cannot say.
During all of her interviews before and during the show, Jillian has never mentioned being in a relationship or being engaged. This is very rare. The Bachelor(ettes) of the past shows always talked about being in love with the winner or being engaged. When asked again last week if she was engaged, Jillian said – “I can definitely say I am on top of the world right now and I can’t wait for Monday, so everybody can see why.”
She only says she’s happy with her decision. RealitySteve also has another theory. He believes with Reid and Ed proposing to her, she might decide to pick no one because she needs more time, leaving us with a cliff hanger until the After The Rose show.
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN TONIGHT? WHO ARE YOU ROOTING FOR?
The Bachelorette’s“Men Tell All” episode was full of some exciting and explosive drama as expected. The 2 hours was however not enough to show everything that really went down during the July 11th taping. People magazine was able to get some great details on what didn’t make it to TV.
Here are excerpts from what you didn’t see -
• After the show, Jake says he doesn’t regret his actions on the show even though he was accused of “acting” while in the house. During the show, several of the guys criticized Jake but only a portion of it was aired. “I got my butt handed to me out there but I still don’t regret anything I did on the show,” he told PEOPLE after the show. Jake insists he was only acting natural and being himself.
• Several of the guys including the host reprimanded David for his inappropriate comments to Jillian. “The good in David Good far outweighs what you saw on the show,” he said. “That clip was by far the worst of him. I’m sorry he got such a bad rap because he is a good guy.” While his apology to Jillian seemed sincere, David probably won’t be changing his ways. “I hate living in a place where you can’t compliment your girl’s ass,” he said after the show. “To me it is no different than Tanner P talking about and rubbing her feet.”
• For some reason, Brian decided to act ignorantly by interrupting others repeatedly and making insulting comments about others. At a point, he even made a comment about host, Chris Harrison’s wife. “I came very close to saying something but I thought, ‘It’s not worth it. He’s drunk and stupid.’ I let it go,” Harrison said. “In the end, they cut him out almost entirely so he got what he deserved.”
During this past Monday’s Bachelorette show - The Men Tell All episode, both Jason Mesnick and Molly Melaney declared their love for one another on national television. Even though it’s only been about six months, Mesnick said, “I’m really in love with Molly. She’s completely different from anybody else I’ve ever dated.”
Molly also added, “I would marry Jason tomorrow. I’m so crazy about him. I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him.”
Even though Jason and Molly both reside in different states, Jason is certain that wedding bells are in their future. The duo manage to see each other at least every other weekend. According to Jason, the plan is for Molly to relocate from Milwaukee to Seattle eventually.
Chris Harrison, host oflast spring’s Bachelor finale where Mesnick dumped ex Melissa Rycroft, mentioned that it was “the most controversial moment in this show’s history.” “Was all that heartache worthwhile”, he then asked.
“What we have gone through … just absolutely ripped to shreds…” replied Molly “It was definitely tough on me.” Mesnick added that “it was a bigger backlash than I thought.” But he said he would endure even more scrutiny if that was what it took to be with Molly.
On the other hand, Melissa Rycroft recently confirmed her engagement to beau Tye Strickland with wedding preparations underway.
In her latest blog, Jillian Harris talks about her thoughts on last night’s “Men Tell All.” She doesn’t really touch on the whole Wes topic, but does talk about her favorite moments of the season as well as seeing all of her “ex-boyfriends” again as she puts it.
“If I have eliminated someone who you loved, I am sorry … I wish I could have kept every wonderful guy from the show but I am only looking for ONE man to make ME happy. I DO have an excellent judge of character and I do know what I am looking for in a unique individual to go through life with me.
Also, I want to clear up a little confusion about the perception of my “engagement standards” coming into this journey. I was not desperate for an engagement. I actually was very nervous about it and would be happy with no engagement if that were the right choice. All I wanted and would have been happy with was someone to love who loved me back. Someone who had some sort of conviction of how they felt, or was willing to make a sacrifice of any kind, as I had stated several times that I was eager to do the same. Not only is this conviction from the guy an indication for me to move forward with the relationship, but it is also an indication of what our life would be like post-show.
The Men Tell All was actually a blast! Well … it didn’t start out so fun … I got to the set and was waiting and waiting and waiting to come out onstage. Now that I’ve seen the show I understand why! The guys clearly had a lot to get off their chests.
The Bachelorette “Men Tell All” episode is set to air tonight, but one man who will not be appearing on the show is Wes Hayden. Arguably the most hated Bachelor sinceJason Mesnick, one can’t help but wonder why Wes will not be speaking his peace tonight.
You would think the men are contractually obligated to appear on the show, but evidently Wes seems to be a special case. According to Austin360.com, an entertainment site based in Wes’ hometown, “(Wes) angrily declined to appear on the ‘Men Tell All’ episode. A week later, however, he changed his mind but was told the show didn’t want him there.”
The reason being? The producers of The Bachelorette are not happy with Wes giving out unauthorized interviews. Wes has been pretty much bad mouthing the show in an attempt to defend himself. He blames bad editing for the way came off on the show. When asked about his non appearance, Wes said -
“They cancelled mine. They didn’t want me talking to anybody. I’ve been available. I’ve worked too hard in my life to let somebody destroy me for their TV ratings. I might be from Texas and I might talk slow, but I’m not stupid. If I had a hidden agenda to go on that show, my lips would have been sealed, never would I have once said I was there for my CD, my career and I have a girlfriend. I know how to market myself, and it would not have been to go on TV and have everyone hate me. (An ABC spokeswoman, Cathy Rehl, said that the week Hayden was booted on air, he wasn’t available for a media conference call. Also, ‘we don’t do conference calls with all the men,’ she said.)”
With two contestants left, there are speculations that The BacheloretteJillian Harris will most likely choose Ed over Kiptyn.
Bachelorette alum, DeAnna Pappas also predictsthat Jillian will choose Ed. According to Pappas, Jillian only has eyes for Ed since the first day she saw him. She also continues by saying, Jillian probably regrets keeping Wes on the show for as long as he stayed after revealing he has a girlfriend.
Last Monday’s episode, showed Ed who couldn’t keep his hands off the bachelorette as they participated in several of the planned activities, including swimming and a catamaran ride. He later declared his love to Jillian begging her to trust him.
The July 20 episode will feature all the guys that were sent home while the finale airs on the 27th. As reported earlier, Wes was not invited to attend the Men Tell All taping.
The Bachelorette finale does not air until 2 more weeks but we have some major spoilers here for you! Including the big rumor that Ed had a girlfriend during the show.
Stop reading now if you do not want to know what happens. Majority of this information comes from RealitySteve. This is the same guy that revealed what would happen with Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft on The Bachelor earlier this year. He was 100% accurate then, so there’s a good chance he is with this info as well. Enjoy the spoilers below –
