ABC has just released new details about the upcoming season of The Bachelorette starring Jillian Harris. The biggest change coming this season is that Jillian gets to pick from a pool of 30 men instead of the usual 25!
Jillian will have to eliminate 10 men the first night. The show is now set to premier on May 18th. Below are some details of what is to come this season –
Jillian will be the first person in the history of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” to have 30 suitors to select from. The original group of 25 men quietly seethes as the additional guests get their time with the Bachelorette. One bachelor reveals that he is secretly obsessed with Jillian’s feet, while a wealthy businessman impresses her with his laid-back confidence. In the end, Jillian presents her “first impression” rose to the man who managed to stand out in the crowd of eligible contenders.
Three of the bachelors will get to live in the mansion with Jillian, with the rest living together in an unspectacular bunkhouse down the hill.
In one of the episodes, the bachelors must vote for the man they’d most like to send home – much to one stunned and unhappy bachelor’s dismay.
Jillian will have some of the most romantic and adventurous dates ever with exciting surprises in store for her bachelors as they travel around the globe for intimate dates in California, Hawaii, Canada and Spain.
Jillian takes one lucky man on her ultimate dream date: a private concert by Grammy Award-winner and four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Martina McBride at the House of Blues in Hollywood.
The Bachelors will be announced soon with one of the 30 men being rumored to be a single dad from Dallas named Tanner. No word yet on how far he makes it.

Shewas recently laid off her job and she talks to US about her upcoming wedding and why she doesn’t want to spend a fortune.
“I wanted to be considerate of a price,” Schefft says. “I’m not going to wear a $20,000, or even a $10,000 dress. I just don’t think it’s worth it for one day. She goes on to add, “However, I’d rather save in other areas and get the dress that I really, really want.”
The Bachelorette alum Trista Sutter and her husband Ryan welcomed their second baby this past Friday.
The couple welcomed a baby girl named Blakesley Grace Sutter in Colorado at 1.23 pm on April 3rd. “She’s healthy. Everything is really good,” an exhausted Trista told Life & Style.
This is the second child for the couple who wed in 2003 after meeting on the ABC’s first season of The Bachelorette the previous year. They are also parents to a son, Maxwell Alston Sutter, a.k.a. Max Sutter who will be two years old in July. Congrats to the new parents.
The Bachelor’s 2nd runner up Jillian Harris is currently filming The Bachelorette and is about halfway through filming. The filming began just 4 weeks after the shocking/infamous “After The Final Rose” episode.
Jillian’s mom Peggy states, “It was a first, what happened with Jason, and I think it will make her more aware. What she learned was to be really careful when choosing. It will put more pressure on her.” The Canadian Bachelorette will have a pool of 25 men to pick from. The Bachelorette is set to premier on ABC next month.
The New Bachelorette Jillian Harris is allegedly dropping her goody two shoes image and getting edgy for her stint as the new Bachelorette. Filming is scheduled to begin later on this month.
OK Magazine reports, “On the show they will reveal that she’s capable of creating controversy. The producers would love it if The Bachelorette ends just as dramatically as The Bachelor.”
The show will be premiering May 17th on ABC. The insider goes on to state, “You’ll see her really manipulating them in a way previous Bachelorettes haven’t,” well let’s hope Jillian won’t become the female version of Jason.
