I hope you heard me choking with sarcasm as I typed the words “classy”, “Heidi Montag” and “album” together in one post title.
She’s baaack. Heidi Montag cashed in her change jar or traded some crystals to pay for time in the studio and released her second album last week. She “graces” the cover of Dreams Come True with all of her plastic parts hanging out in a slinky pink…um..dress? swimsuit? nighty? I’m not really sure what it’s supposed to be.
Heidi’s new album dropped last week. No word on whether or not she sold more than 1,000 copies this time around.
Perhaps, the Bravo producers are just as sick of the excessive housewives drama and reality star train wrecks as the viewers are. TMZ is reporting that while the network’s head honchos are not straying from the franchise that skyrocketed its viewership, it is going in a different, more Godly direction.
Sources tell the site that the new series will showcase “accomplished and upscale women in the Calabasas area who have fabulous lives, are very social, are involved in the community, but also have a very deep commitment to their faith.” Oh gracious…isn’t this where the Kardashians live? Please ladies, no need to apply! That goes for you too, Shanna Moakler!
TheChristianPost.com elaborates, hoping the show isn’t just reality television’s answer to ABC’s new hit GCB, which showcases Bravo-esque caricatures, as they practice anything but what they preach. Some critics believe that the scripted dramedy mocks the Christian faith, and they hope that this Calabasas housewives spin-off isn’t Bravo’s way of doing the same.
The site continues, stating that the “franchise typically follows the lives of elite housewives who are often seen flashing designer goods, indulging in exorbitant shopping sprees, and promoting cattiness which many would argue is far from the core values of the Christian faith.”
After all, the ladies of Real Housewives of Orange County already have a self-proclaimed Jesus Barbie, who gets more than her fair share of backlash for citing her morals before trashing a cast mate. And I don’t have to tell you that not only is that not considered very “Christian,” it’s also not considered very nice.
WOULD YOU WATCH THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF CALABASAS? COMMENTS ON SEEING A HOUSEWIVES FRANCHISE THAT FOR ONCE ISN’T BASED SOLELY IN DRAMA AND JEALOUSY?
Other reality stars caught out and about this week: Kelly Bensimon, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Jason Hoppy, Ramona Singer, Holly Madison, J-Woww, J-Lo, La La Anthony, Reza Farahan, Tia Mowry, Evelyn Lozada and more!

Against the wishes of her family, Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is reportedly moments away from signing a reality show deal.
As of now, it’s just a verbal agreement, but it’s expected that Bobbi will sign on for a new reality show that will follow her life as she adjusts to the loss of her mom and will focus on her controversial relationship with “brother” Nick Gordon. And her family is not happy about it.
Bobbi Kristina’s relatives worry that it may turn into another train wreck like Whitney’s hot-mess-of-a-show back in 2005, “Being Bobby Brown”. Bobbi is reportedly going through her own battle with drugs and alcohol and her family is worried about exposing that for the world to see.
A source tells Radar Online: “This show is being done against her family’s advice.” But she’s determined to show the world that she’s not going to fall victim to the same lifestyle as her mom.
A source said that during a meeting she told the network execs: “‘I will show the world I am NOT my mother and will NOT walk in her shoes down her path,’ then seconds later would mutter, ‘My mother was just normal, completely normal, someone who did normal things. She just listened to all the wrong people–and did the wrong things.'”
Bobbi is reportedly telling friends that she wants to do the show to see something positive come out of the tragic loss of her mom. “Something good might as well come out of all this bad stuff.”
I’m curious to see which network is going to take this on. If she truly is struggling with an addiction, it could be a disaster. People will tune in out of morbid curiosity, of course, but will they stay tuning in if she’s a mess?

The ambassador of abstinence is back and heading to a television near you…maybe. Bristol Palin has landed another reality show and will get a chance to play house with her boyfriend.
Right after her stint on ‘Dancing with the Stars‘, the daughter of Sarah Palin taped a reality show with brothers Kyle Massey and Chris Massey, but after a little bit of press, we never heard another word about it. Not that we’re complaining. Honest.
It seems Bristol moved back to Alaska and bought a house across the lake from mama Grizzly and she’s been working to fix it up. Naturally, Bristol smelled a reality show pitch in there and is now dragging her boyfriend of a year, pipeline worker Gino Paoletti, along for the ride. The two are going to film the adventure of moving in together when the house is finished this summer and give their relationship a “trial marriage“.
“Bristol and Gino are crazy about each other. They’ve talked about getting married, but they think it’s a good idea to live together before making it official.”
In my part of the world, that’s just called moving in with your boyfriend. But I guess it sounds more respectable to call it a “trial marriage”?!
The new show is called ‘Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp”.
No word on whether Levi Johnston will be making any appearances on the new show. He’s in the news this week for knocking up another Alaskan woman, though. And making claims that the Palins are blocking him from seeing Tripp. Mama Palin lashed back at him, calling him a liar and saying that they haven’t heard a word from him since the summer of 2010. So, it makes sense why all of them are back in the news airing their dirty laundry…Bristol has a show to promote.
It sounds like Sarah Vs. Levi would be a lot more fun to watch. But that’s just me.
