Real Housewives of New Jersey

Teresa

News from the Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies has been on the quiet side since the last season went off the air. Its spin-off show Manzo’d With Children isn’t even on right now. So basically no one is getting into arguments and even the self-promotion has gone down (very slightly). This week, however, there are some little slivers of news from the Garden State reality stars.

Teresa Giudice has been honored for her skills as an author – yes, I’m totally serious. Dolores Catania has basically confirmed that she and Siggy Flicker will be back on RHONJ. Also, Caroline Manzo’s daughter Lauren Manzo is about to pop out her first baby at any moment.

I get that Dolores Catania’s shtick on Real Housewives of New Jersey is that she’s the neutral party who’s friends with everyone in the cast, but I was definitely surprised to see Melissa Gorga’s former business partner Jackie Beard Robinson at the opening of the Dolores’s new gym.

There was zero indication that Dolores and Jackie were friends and the end of Jackie and Melissa‘s business arrangement was far from amicable. I get that Dolores has “been around forever” and has known most of these ladies for years, but I feel like Jackie’s appearance would not sit well with Melissa.

Just over a year after being released from her time “at camp,” Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has reportedly paid off the big chunk of change owed the government from her unlawful activities.

Teresa has paid in full the $414,581 restitution fine she and husband Joe Giudice were slapped with in their 2014 court case, which found both Giudices guilty of tax fraud. Since that time, Teresa’s wages have been garnished to pay the sum. One can assume that those wages have largely come from Bravo – or from Teresa’s memoir about life behind bars, Turning The Tables, From Housewife To Inmate And Back Again, which inexplicably became a NY Times bestseller last year.

Real Housewives Story Lines

Judge me if you must but I have to keep it real when I admit that I’ve seen every single Real Housewives episode multiple times. With that said, I cannot help favoring some story lines over others – the Real Housewives story lines that got dragged out way longer than they ever should have.

Some of these plot lines were juicy at first, but just got beat to the ground. Then there are other things that happened that none of us cared about, yet they got dragged out for two or more seasons. Either way, there are plenty of story lines that did more than outstay their welcome.

Danielle Staub

She’s been hinting, teasing, and threatening for years to return to Real Housewives Of New Jersey but now sources say Danielle Staub, the Garden State’s most notorious villain, is back for season 8!

Since making peace with Teresa Giudice in a much-publicized yoga pic, Danielle has said she’s finally ready to take another turn as a Housewife, so with Teresa officially done with Jacqueline Laurita it seems there’s no better time!

Sources reveal that it’s not certain if Danielle will be an “official Housewife” or only a friend for season 8, which hasn’t started filming yet.

Joe goes to prison

Aside from Teresa Giudice bragging about how much weight Joe Giudice has lost in prison and the fact that he wrote her a song that he wanted John Legend to sing, we haven’t heard too many specific updates about Joe’s life behind bars. But now it is being reported that the father of four has a new job working at the prison gym.

I’m not exactly sure what Joe is doing at the gym, but he is allegedly making $100 a month for the work. Plus, I assume that he can work out in between his shifts, so this seems like a good move on many fronts.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

We’ve been ranking all the Real Housewives from every season, every franchise and its finally down to the final few. The queens of Bravo, if you will. Click here for Part 1 and Part 2 of our ranking.

What separates a good Housewife from a great one? For me, it’s the longevity of their dramas. Will their actions or comments forever define a franchise as Teresa Giudice‘s table flip did for New Jersey, or NeNe Leakes‘ “Close your legs to married men, Wig!” on Atlanta? A great Housewife doesn’t necessarily have to be likable, but she does have to be memorable, and defining. When you think of a particular show which Housewife comes to mind.

RHOA Season 4

Reality Tea is ranking of every, single Housewife from every, single season from almost every Real Housewives franchise. You can find Part 1 of our rankings here. Now we finally return with Part 2 (aka the big ole mush in the middle)!

In Part 1 we mostly covered most Housewives who were either too crazy to be legit, or didn’t make much of an impact, or were just so miscast and off it was painful. Some of them were too nice, or too timid, or not rich enough, or too desperate. If she’s only a Housewife for a season, there’s usually a reason!

Below we continue to analyze and dissect the ladies from Real Housewives Of New JerseyReal Housewives Of AtlantaReal Housewives Of PotomacReal Housewives Of New YorkReal Housewives Of Beverly HillsReal Housewives Of DallasReal Housewives of Miami, and Real Housewives Of Orange County. We’re skipping the short-lived Real Housewives Of DC, because no one even remembers who they are. Well except for one…
