BethennyFrankel turned the tables on Andy Cohen for a special segment of Watch What Happens Live. He dished on casting mistakes he’s made, which franchise has the most behind-the-scenes drama, whose fans he worries about burning down his house, and more.
Bethenny asked Andy, thinking back to the first season of Real Housewives of Orange County, did he think it would be as big as it is today. He said the possibility hit him in season two when Matt and Jeana Keough‘s marriage fell apart. “I was like, this is like a soap opera. Like, I care about Jeana, and things are not going well for her.”
On reality TV being blamed for the demise of so many marriages, Andy shared, “I think it has accelerated marriages that weren’t working. I’ve talked to Tamra [Judge] about this. I’ve talked to Vicki [Gunvalson] about this. They were in a relationship that wasn’t working. They saw it replayed on TV, and were like, ‘Wow, this is really bad.’ They had a chorus of people saying ‘dump him, dump him’ and they actually had the balls to do it.”
With so many reality TV shows coming and going lately, we decided to gather up the reality TV listings every week for Sunday through Friday.
This week brings us the premiere of Kandi’s Ski Trip, the two-night premiere of The Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson, and the two-part Keeping Up with the Kardashians special About Bruce. E! reported, “The special will reveal intimate conversations that Bruce had with his famous family, in which they discussed his transition. The specials will also explore each family member’s struggle to process his or her own feelings as they all work through hearing from Bruce directly about finally living life as the person he has always known himself to be.”
Check out the reality TV listings list, which includes the Watch What Happens Live guests for the week, and let us know what you plan to watch.
Andy tells Carole about Luann’s Tweets, claiming that her niece and Adam were still seeing each other and were even planning a trip together. “No, let me be clear. The truth is they broke up over a year before I met Adam and the trip that she’s referring to is a trip to Nicaragua where he runs a nonprofit, a farm. And they were going with a whole group of people. After they broke up they remained friends and are still very friendly to this day.”
NeNe Leakes and SNL’s Cecily Strong were guests on Watch What Happens Live tonight after part 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion episode. Cecily didn’t get to say a whole lot because NeNe had a lot to say. She had a lot of words to say but it didn’t feel like she shared any new info or insights.
After two games we finally get to the questions. A fan wants to know if NeNe is EVER going to donate to Detroit Public Schools Foundation. And this sets her off on a rant aimed mostly at Andy for relaying the question. “Please stop asking me about that. I don’t care what these people ask you. I will do what I want to do when I want to do it. Let’s be very clear about that. They can Tweet and ask you anything they want to. I do what I want to do. I’m not going to be forced to do anything.” She adds, “I’m gonna tell you this. When it comes down to charity, it should not be made out of a mockery. It shouldn’t be anything you’re talking about constantly on your show, on social media. The idea was that you don’t make charity out of a mockery. You’re doing something from the goodness of your heart and want to donate to charity, you donate the right way. Who writes a check and posts it on social media and tries to say ‘I’m donating to charity’? People donate to charity in private. Nobody does that bullshit.”
