Finally, The Bachelorette puts the viewer’s need for travel porn above Emily Maynard’s need to keep her daughter Ricki close to home. We’re off to Bermuda! I hope beautiful sandy beaches mean beautiful shirtless men.
The first date card goes to Doug Clerget. It reads, “Let our senses lead the way.” Doug remembers there’s a rose on the one-on-one dates. The guys talk about how much it would suck to come all the way to Bermuda only to have to go right back home. They’re right, that would suck, but probably not as much as a lifetime with Emily.
I know, I know, America’s sweetheart, search for true love, and all that jazz. Let’s just agree to compare notes come mid-July. This season is going to be a smashing success of a love story just to spite me, isn’t it?
On the 2nd episode of the season titled, “Black Ball’d” Lea and her husband host an annual fund-raising gala featuring A-list guests and celebrities. The evening appears to be a shining success, yet tension rises when Cristy arrives with two guests lacking an RSVP.
In other MIA news, Larsa Pippen and hubby Scottie Pippen have put their Miami mansion up for sale for a mere $16 million! The 13,500 sq ft home has 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. The annual taxes alone? Over 85k.
Many however feel the Pippens’ home is grossly overpriced. For one, they only paid $1.34 mil for the home back in the year 2000, $14 million less than what they are asking for today. Plus a number of real estate experts estimate the home is worth no more than $5 million at best. The home was in fact assessed and valued at $4.8 mil back in 2009.
Perhaps the Pippens are trying to use their celebrity to their advantage or they just feel their home is worth that much, it will be interesting to see if it sells for that price. A few photos of the home exterior are below as well as a preview clip of tonight’s episode.
