Real Housewives Of New York is back and boasting a brand-new, completely the same, Bethenny Frankel! The exciting and dynamic preview below demonstrates this season is far from boring, but instead features glamour, personal dramas, and is filled with friction, but not of the manufactured kind.
Joining the show will be new Housewife Dorinda Medley, a good friend of Ramona Singer(Dorinda is giving me a whiff of Kim D – with real money!). The very wealthy socialite deals with dating dramas, daughter dilemmas, and learning to play well with others.
“It’s my party and I can be immature if I want to, bitch if I want to – you would tell lies and ruin people’s lives too if it happened to you!” So that’s the theme song for Vanderpump Rules and singing it in a beautiful, lyrical duet with perfect harmonization are Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute.
Lisa Vanderpump is ready for the annual SUR Photoshoot. To celebrate the ten-year anniversary she decides on a 50’s greaser theme, shooting at the old-fashioned Pink Motel complete with a drained cement pool, a pink Cadillac, and a whole lotta Aqua Net on display.
I love the theme, and Lisa wearing a white t-shirt, red lips, and killer 50’s cat-eye shades like the Madame of the Pink Ladies was (aka, Rizzo, after she married a rich mobster and starting running Staten Island) was amazing.
Since Super Stylist Stassi was unavailable to style people she doesn’t like, Lisa had to go ahead and hire a real professional, who can like do her job, put personal differences aside, and recognize the importance of client relations.
Last night’s Love & Hip Hop introduced us to the illustrious Astrid. In her thirty second scene, Amina Buddafly’s mother spoke more sense than anyone at anytime on this franchise…ever. I realize that’s not saying much, but this woman was on point. Can we have her at the helm of Love & Hip Hop: Hamburg?
As the episode begins, Yandy Smith is still reeling from fiancee Mendeecees telling her that Amir was in the hospital because she forgot to pick him up at school. Mendeecees is frustrated that Yandy doesn’t think his work is as important as hers. Why does he always have to be the one on carpool duty? Mendeecees doesn’t understand how he did anything wrong, and Yandy can’t understand how he can’t see how his behavior was that of a total asshat. His true colors are starting to show.
Andy flashes a photo of Jessica’s engagement ring. Reza and GG giggle and Reza says that may not be the one they are presently using. The one shown tonight on the premiere was just for filming purposes… Shocker.
Reza jokes that he’s going to get uninvited to the wedding and GG says she hopes she gets uninvited.
Andy shows a photo of MJ’s new boyfriend and Reza makes a retching noise. Andy says he’s handsome, but Reza challenges it. “You think he’s handsome? You are a liar!” Andy says he’s kind of a bear. “A bear? If I was MJ’s age and I had waited as long to find a man, he would be the last man. I would be a lesbian before I’d be with that guy.” Wow, mean girl Reza is still in the building, clearly.
Lilly shared her thoughts on reality TV and her Shahs of Sunset experience in a new interview with K9 magazine. Lilly says it was an emotionally tolling experience for her. “Being on Shahs is an experience I will never forget. To be on a reality show on a national network as big as Bravo is isn’t easy. The entire world is watching, and judging you. It’s a very emotionally tolling experience, and difficult to handle, especially when you’re on an ensemble cast where fighting and drama is encouraged. I will forever cherish my time and experiences on the show, but am so happy to no longer be doing it!”
Katie Maloney has seen her life undergo a lot of changes on this season of Vanderpump Rules. Her relationship to Tom Schwartz nearly crumbled over rings on strings and cheating scandals (that may or may not have happened), plus she saw her long-time BFF-hood to Stassi Schroeder fall apart.
Katie admits it was “definitely a big growing time,” and she’s happy to have learned some important lessons in the process about friendship, her personal values, and commitment.
According to Katiethings with Tom are “great” although the couple is still working out a few kinks! “Since the summer, when we finished filming, Tom changed his attitude and has come a long way,” she describes. “The mutual respect is back and I have restored my trust in him. [His cheating] is not a pattern.”
Producers are complaining “the season isn’t what they thought it would be,” share insiders. “With the exception of Bethenny, the season is not high drama.” However, Andy Cohen recently tweeted about how exciting this season would be!
