With Love & Hip Hop original sauce having all sorts of casting drama, Vh1 is hoping to distract us with a new flavor of crazy: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta! Atlanta is considered the new frontier in entertainment and the rappers will be getting their hustle on southern style! The competition will be fierce professionally and personally as the boundaries cross in a dramatic way.
This season the drama will center around Stevie J, “a three-time Grammy Award-Winning producer who has worked with artists such as Diddy, Jay-Z and Mariah Carey,” according to Vh1.
“Stevie’s longtime girlfriend Mimi Faust, and a fiery up-and-coming Latina rapper named Joseline. here’s no shortage of drama with this strong-willed trio. Also featured are Lil Scrappy, best known for his 2006 smash hit, “Money in the Bank,” his girlfriend Erica Dixon, and his mother, a former hustler known as ‘Momma Dee.'”
“The hometown hero, Atlanta rapper Rasheeda, is still searching for that big hit after years in the hip hop game, but she’s constantly at odds with her manager Kirk Frost — who also happens to be her husband. Rounding out the cast are the talented songbird K Michelle, and Trinidadian R&B singer Karlie Redd.”
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta premieres June 18th at 8pmEST on VH1.
It’s your daily dose of Bachelorette with a heaping side of Harrison…add some Bachelor Pad for dessert sprinkled with just the right amount of hook ups, implants, and shame. Let’s dig in, shall we?
The always lovely and good-natured Chris Harrison, host of all three train wrecks love quests, opened up to The Huffington Post about his favorite couples through the years. He reveals, “Trista and Ryan [Sutter] were just lightning in a bottle. I don’t know if we’ll ever capture anything like that again. That one will always stand out.” The couple was the first of the franchise to actually wed (on television, of course), and now they have two children together.
Another of Chris’ favorite love birds were our current Bachelorette Emily Maynard and two-time BachelorBrad Womack. He tells the site, “I felt like the two of them were meant to be and it was gonna work. When they broke up, I was really sad.” Well, you certainly know if you’re tuning into this season that Em has stolen Chris Harrison’s heart along with those of her suitors.
“Everybody’s had this appetite for her,” Chris continues. “She’s so contagious. You just want to care for her, you want to root for her, you want her to do well, and that really makes for a perfect Bachelorette. When her name came up [to be the next Bachelorette], we started bantering about and it was a unanimous home run. It’s very rare that it’s unanimous.”
Last night was the season finale of 16 & Pregnant. We are introduced to Kristina Robinson who lives in Dewberry, Texas with her mother, grandmother, brother, and sister. She is very close to her Aunt Dotty, and spends lots of time at her house with her husband Daniel (that would be Uncle Daniel, correct?) and their three kids (so her cousins…funny how they don’t phrase it like that). It was at Dotty and Daniel’s that she met her boyfriend Todd…who is the younger brother of Daniel…aka her uncle.
The pair started dating a year ago, and things moved very quickly. Around prom time of junior year, Todd proposed, and Kristina accepted. That summer the pair was at the beach vacationing with Kristina’s family. While swimming in the ocean, the couple got caught in a riptide. Kristina was rescued by a lifeguard, but Todd drowned. This is tragic! Apparently, Kristina was about three months pregnant with his baby when he passed away. She has since moved in full time with Dotty and Daniel as she feels they can better to relate to what she’s experiencing with the loss of Todd.
Daniel urges Kristina to include her mother in the pregnancy because she’s feeling left out, but Kristina has a hard time being around her mother who is constantly distraught over the accident. Kristina is the only one in the family who doesn’t need a constant stream of subtitles. Her mother really wants her to move home, but she wants to stay with her aunt and uncle.
We got wind of some information on gossip sleuth Lisa Lovelace’s Facebook page that insinuates that Brooks may be a very different person than he claims to be. Allegedly, of course. A woman named Nicolette, who claims to be the mother of Brooks’ youngest son, took to posting about her ex-boyfriend and she had some not so nice things to say about his ways!
Last night was the season finale ofBethenny Ever After. And it really felt like both the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Julie Plake left, Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel finally moved into their new apartment after a season-long HGTV show of decorating it, and Bethenny announced that the talk show is really happening.
I have to say, I’ve long had a love-hate relationship with Bethenny. I’ve loved her on Real Housewives of New York. I’ve adored her on Bethenny Getting Married?. And I’ve resented her and been in awe of her for complaining about having it all while actually accomplishing it all on BEA.
With that being said, I think it’s time for the Bethenny of reality TV to come to an end. She’s seems done. Frankly, the show seems done. And I think most of the viewers are ready to see the silly, fun Bethenny they fell in love with again. Which hopefully will happen on her talk show.
I can’t say enough about how much Bethenny is willing to let it all hang out – literally and metaphorically – and give us the very best and very worst of herself, but it seems she’s maybe given too much and it’s time to move on. I mean, case in point – do we even care about the revolving door of employees that have now come to dominate the show as Bethenny’s so-called friends and confidantes? Nope. Sorry, Jacs!
It was bound to happen, ladies; you start raking in the dough and eventually your ex-husband will come knocking and want some. Basketball Wives cast member Kenya Bellis feeling the sting of her newfound independent paycheck now that her ex-husband, basketball player Charlie Bell is demanding spousal support.
See, while Charlie makes a modest $100k playing basketball in Italy, it’s nowhere near the lifestyle he was accustomed to while playing for the Golden State Warriors, and it also doesn’t touch Kenya’s alleged reality star salary of $300k for her first season of Basketball Wives (a figure she denies).
We here at Reality Tea were reluctant to share because baby bump claims are always around and are usually unfounded. That said, after staring at endless photos of Bethenny from the last few weeks, we started see where the other outlets were coming from. We’ve shared a few of the photos below.

Emily Maynard finally interacts with the “dro” twins, Alejandro and Allesandro, on episode 3 of The Bachelorette. One was definitely worth the wait. In fact, if I get my way, the star of The Bachelor season 17 was born tonight. More on that later. First, we must pick through the drab to get to the awesome.
Speaking of drab, my Tupperware has more personality than Emily Maynard does. You know what I mean, those bowls that have red sauce forever microwaved into their souls and lids that come out of the dishwasher melted and deformed. Emily did show some more spunk this week; however, she has hardly any inflection in her voice and that makes it hard to care about what she has to say. And, I’m not sure how much of it is real “spunk” and how much of it is “entitled princess.” Tupperware = oozing personality. Emily = mostly dispensing “golly” and “y’all,” hair smoothing, and teeth licking.
