Well, it's Hurricane Sandy out there. I've already hunkered down with chicken wing dip and a vain hope that I won't lose power or internet while the winds howl wildly. And I'm not the only one, plenty of reality stars are stranded on the east coast trying to brave the hurricane.
We hope everyone is safe and in a comfortable place to ride out the storm!
Jill'sWatch What Happens Live segment exposed a woman who has still not recovered from incidents from over four years ago – including how she felt she was misrepresented on RHONY. Apparently Jill wasn't about to let that happen again and someone from her entourage who was in the audience during the pre-recorded WWHL taping secretly filmed the entire interview. And Jill admits it!
Because Bravo knows a good thing when it sees it, last night we were treated to even more madness from the Real Housewives of New Jersey. While the season was supposed to be over after the reunion trilogy (The Hunger Games it was not), the network decided to milk a little bit more out of the women and the viewers. So it is without further ado, I present to you the lost footage from season four. It's actually very telling to see what ended up on the cutting room floor, and what's being revisited in light of the ongoing feud surrounding Teresa Giudice and everyone elseMelissa Gorga. Editing truly is magical!
Narrated by Andy Cohen, the episode takes us behind the scenes of what happened during the season and at the far-too-drawn-out reunion. Buckle up (if you haven't boycotted the show yet!), and enjoy the bumpy ride with Melissa, Teresa, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, and Kathy Wakile. It's truly a sight.
We begin with a lost cause…Andy is trying to convince Juicy Joe (once again) that homophobic slurs are offensive and nasty. Joe is all, Ahhwatdisagain? before turning into a brick wall of Who Cares. By the way, did you know that Joe went on a boat ride with seven guys and one of them was gay? He is not a homophobe. The comments he made about Gregg Bennett were meant to be funny, not mean. He's so sorry Greggy doesn't have a sense of humor! Jacqueline tells Andy that she thinks Joe speaks more out of ignorance than maliciousness. Fair enough.
It's like a Bravo break-up…or is it? There is a lot of gossip swirling about a feud between a neurotic former non-housewife from Real Housewives of New York and a certain Bravo front man who has basically made said woman into what she is today—with multiple spin-offs. Jill Zarin knows what I'm talking about, right?
There is news that Bethenny Ever After star Bethenny Frankel is biting the hand that once fed her. And that hand is attached to a man who will one day be my biffle for life. Ride or die. Perhaps when he stops engaging in housewives of past drama, he'll have more time to cultivate a friendship with me. A girl can dream, can't she?
So according to the interwebs, Bravo main man Andy Cohen isn't feeling the love from the woman–and empire–he had a hand in creating. That has to hurt! Many media outlets are reporting that Bethenny is turning her back on the network and the man who made her into the ultra-skinny multi-millionaire she is today. Again, somewhere Jill is laughing her butt off…while trying to secure a new contract for the upcoming season. Heather who? Holla!
Danielle dragged her poor besieged daughter Christine to NYC where she had a sit-down with Andy and claims they talked many things – including Housewives. "It was a general meeting," Danielle hints. "There was a lot of talk about everything — including Housewives."
Danielle obviously left with a goodybag because she was clutching Cohen's book like it was a life support device and she was on her last breath… Which speaking of, Reality TV wise she kinda is. Unless…
Oh, Jill. I like to think of my fascination with Jill as the same fascination I have for shows like American Horror Story, meaning they scare me, intrigue me, repulse me, but oh man cannot I not look away! And I love every minute of it!
Apparently many share my bizarre intrigue, because the numbers for WWHL's special Jill vs. Andy one-on-one had over 2 million viewers on Monday night and the ratings were up 44% from the previous Monday's episode. And if y'all don't think Jillzy is going to use those numbers to get back on the show, y'all are surely more delusional than she is!
And go figure just a day after the numbers for the episode are out, come reports that Jill is slated to return to RHONY to enact her revenge, errrr… I mean redeem herself.
Last night was the second part of the Real Housewives of New York reunion. While we weren't treated to family feuds of epic proportions (thank the good lord) we were treated to pirate scandals, bootylicious lovin, toaster ovens, and daddy drama. Oh and a few alcoholic accusations. All in all it was a good show and the ladies played their parts well.
First off LuAnn de Lesseps is in the hotseat over her affairs of the piratekind. Toe-mah or Thomas depending on when the put-on airs slip, was merely a ride home and a late-night cocktail partner. Here's her story: LuAnn alleges that she did stay late at the club partying with her "Italian friends" but then Tomas offered her a ride home under the pretenses of seeing the villa. Was he drinking? I'm confused that she would go home with someone who had been drinking.
She DID go into Heather Thomson's room around 3am and wake her up, inviting her to have a drink with she and Tomas. Heather was like bitch I need my beauty rest. LuAnn insists nothing happened, it all looked bad, and she lied to spare the wrath and prying accusations of Pinot Singer. THAT is about the only part of the story I fully believe.
I, of course, watched – tornados transporting me to Oz couldn't keep me away – and here's my thoughts on what happened. First of all I was sort of surprised Andy let Jill go so far with some of her allegations. It wasn't live, it was pre-recorded so the network definitely let her air ALL her grievances and expose what I thought was some pretty scandalous things about how filming works and behind the scenes dealings.
Secondly, Jill was either nervous or I don't know what but she rambled and ranted tangentially for the entire segment. Andy barely got a word in and he was checked out, although composed (and bemused), in a way I've never seen him act before. Jill of course basically complained that she was fired, whined it wasn't fair, and insisted viewers want her back and didn't connect with the new women because we don't know them. She actually said viewers were boycotting her firing – and Alex McCord's.
