I don’t even know what to say about the fact that train wrecks of Teen Mom 2 are back for another season. Part of me roots for these girls like no tomorrow, but the other part of me wants them to get their shiz together off camera and step up to the plate. Regardless, Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, and Leah Messer (now Calvert) are back for yet another round.
Right off the bat, we’re reminded of the tension (for lack of a better word) between Jenelle and mom Barbara. Jenelle has broken up with Kieffer Delp while completing a rehab stint for her marijuana addiction, and she’s been diagnosed as bi-polar. She plans to stay on the straight and narrow. I’ll keep my laughing to a minimum. Jenelle shares that she and her mother are getting along well, and her attorney Dustin Sullivan calls to remind her that one passed drug test isn’t a victory. She needs to remain on the straight and narrow.
Chelsea recaps her past with the always awesome and supportive Adam Lind. While Chelsea appreciates that her mom is willing to help her with daughter Aubree’s childcare, she hates that her job at the tanning bed keeps her from spending so much time with her kid. Chelsea reveals to her mom that Adam may move in over the weekend, although they aren’t quite back together…at all. He’s just being nice. Shocking, I know!
With the exception of Jenelle Evans, the cast of Teen Mom 2 has been relatively quiet lately. That is, until now. I must say, with all the drama that is usually surrounding Leah Messer, her new husband Jeremy Calvert , and her ex-husband Corey Simms, I am surprised we haven’t heard more about her in the tabloids.
Here’s a quick recap for those of you whose memory may be hazy: high school girl has one-night stand with guy who needs subtitles, subtitles guy really likes girl, girl learns she pregnant (with twins, no less!) so she can no longer cheer and attempts to date subtitles guy. Cheating rumors abound with girl’s ex, couple breaks up, twins are born (one with special needs), co-parenting occurs, reconciliation occurs, a nasty trailer occurs, a televised wedding occurs, newlyweds struggle to cope with toddlers, especially since one is developmentally delayed, cheating rumors abound again, subtitles guy buys new truck instead of moving family out of nasty trailer, couple divorces, girl meets new guy, marries new guy a few months later. Are we all up to speed now?
The local paper states that the intimate affair was officiated by the Reverend Marty Gute, a city commissioner and minister in Ashland. It was attended by a very small number of family, including Leah’s twin daughters, with ex-husband Corey Simms, and close friends…as well as MTV camera crews, of course!
Reverend Gute reveals that he received a phone call from MTV producers on Tuesday, hoping for permission to film inside the chapel. He recalls, “When I asked what was going on, they said it was for the Leah Simms wedding, and that name didn’t ring a bell at first.” However, when Gute told his wife and daughter about the phone call, they both knew exactly who he would be marrying.
“I think they wanted to keep it out of the news, but the producer said he knew it would hit Facebook soon,” Gute continued. “He asked my daughter not to tweet about it, though.” He also believes that the couple will have a larger, more public wedding in the near future. Of course they will!
Citing Leah and Jeremy’s nuptials as one of the most exciting he’s officiated, Gute is not stranger to marrying pseudo-celebs. He tells the newspaper, “We’ve had two couples on Jerry Springer — one from Boyd County and one from Ashland.” Yup, it sounds about right to add Leah into that mix.
Reverend Gute states that the mothers of the bride and groom served as witnesses, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. The wedding was scheduled to begin at 3pm, but apparently didn’t start until 4:30 due to the couple attaining their marriage license at the Boyd County Courthouse and procuring their rings at a local pawn shop pre-ceremony. Needless to say that MTV cameras were on-hand to film those things as well.
Regardless, “Everybody was happy and joyful and took a ton of pictures,” exclaims the Reverend. No word yet on how Corey or his camo hat are feeling about the newlyweds!
ARE YOU SURPRISED TO HEAR ABOUT LEAH AND JEREMY’S WEDDING? DO YOU THINK IT WILL LAST? COMMENTS ON HOW COREY IS LIKELY FEELING RIGHT ABOUT NOW?
Aw, poor Leah! On last week’s Teen Mom2 reunion with Dr. Drew, Leah Messer cried when asked about her relationship with ex-husband and father of her twin girls, Corey Simms, and it turns out she’s got quite a few emotions about the men in her life.
A source close to Leah, 21, tells UsWeekly, “She misses Corey, and part of her wishes she could make things work. But another part of her loves Jeremy and wants to start a clean slate with him.”
This season, Leah finally confirmed the rumor that she had cheated on Corey a week before they got married in October 2010. While they attempted to work things out, the relationship ended and since Leah has been with now fiance Jeremy Calvert.
The source also reveals that Corey misses Leah as well, saying “Corey likes Jeremy because he’s good to his girls, but he’d take Leah back in a second.”
Leah‘s had a tough year: first she suffered a miscarriage, and recently was assaulted by three women who recognized her from the show. The source states that the January miscarriage “changed things” for Leah in regards to her feelings for Jeremy. “She took it as a sign that things might not be right.”
Per the source, the stress is putting strain on the relationship between the couple, and “Jeremy knows Leah isn’t as certain about their relationship now. Their engagement is definitely on a rocky path.”
In more amusing news, Jenelle Evans decided to spend her MTV money on a back tattoo which she revealed to all her Twitter followers. This is the second tattoo Jenelle has had done in the last few months, the first was a matching tattoo with her boyfriend of the most annoying catch phrase of our time, “YOLO.” Jenelle should have spent her tattoo money on her legal defense, she’s been in court so many times this year for drug possession and cyber stalking.
You be the judge of Jenelle’s investment below.

Last night, we bid farewell to the girls of the second Teen Mom…with the help of Dr. Drew of course!
After putting Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry in the hot seat last week, Drew has Chelsea Houska on the sofa. She reveals that her relationship with Adam is civil, but does include hooking up with him, Dr. Drew pronounces it not healthy. Wow. I think I could do his job. After recapping Chelsea’s season, I wish Dr. Drew would ream her for riding on Adam’s motorcycle without a helmet. Instead he applauds her for her accomplishments…which I guess she deserves. He mentions her former friend, Megan, who recently had her baby, and Chelsea is quick to say that she hates that her friend is missing out on her youth like she did.

No, no, no! Corey’ Simms‘ camo hat seems to be prohibiting rational thoughts from coming out of that noggin of his!
The current issue of Us Weekly has those close to the jilted Teen Dad–whose wife of six months Leah Messer confessed to cheating on him a week before they were married–speculating that he wants her back! The couple’s divorce was highlighted on the final episodes of this season’s Teen Mom 2 after Leah spilled the infidelity beans, claiming Corey wouldn’t have sex with her in the weeks leading up to their wedding. Well, if that is the case, her cheating must have been justified! #dumbestexcuseever
The pair’s divorce was finalized in June of last year, with Leah jumping straight into another relationship, another cohabitation, and another engagement rather quickly with new beau Jeremy Calvert. Leah even tragically suffered a miscarriage after getting pregnant by Jeremy. However, none of this information seems to dissuade Corey from wanting to reconcile with the mother of his twin daughters.
A “friend” of his explains to the magazine, “Corey is still crazy for Leah. He doesn’t want her to marry Jeremy.”
Another source laments, “He did all he could to make it work, as she’s the only girl he ever loved.”
Said source must also be a mutual friend of Leah’s, because he/she believes that Corey’s hopes are a lost cause, sharing, “Leah will always care about Corey, but she’s happy with Jeremy. Watching this season made her relive their problems.” Their problems. Could “their problems” have something to do with the fact that Leah cheated on her groom-to-be and then blamed the demise of their marriage on him not wanting to buy a new trailer? Nah, probably different problems…
Not so fast there, Lauren! Apparently Leah has amped up her “no sex before the wedding is a valid reason to cheat” excuse to include–dum da dum dum–porn! Specifically, Corey was watching porn instead of bedding his fiance. Now, I don’t know about you, dear readers, but I am shocked and appalled. Corey watches porn? Corey, the young twenty-something male who didn’t want a trailer upgrade and needed subtitles, watches porn? If she had told me he read classic novels until late into the night so he was too tired for sexy time or even that his Sudoku addiction interfered with his libido, I’d believe her…but porn? That’s a stretch.
In a sneak peek video posted below, the couple is seen discussing their sex life (or apparently lack thereof) with Dr. Drew in a premiere for tomorrow night’s final episode. While Corey claims the pair had a very active and normal sex life, Leah maintains that he wasn’t very affectionate towards her in the weeks leading up to their wedding due to all the porn he was watching.
“I felt like you was looking at her, and thinking…I mean, I kinda felt like that was cheating,” Leah tells Corey during the Drew-led conversation. Eh, maybe, but not as much cheating as actually having intercourse with someone other than your partner. But that’s just me.
Enough on the second installment of Teen Moms, the original Teen Moms need some attention too! Realityweeklymagazine.com is reporting that Corey isn’t the only one from the franchise chasing down an old flame. Apparently, Maci Bookout has her sights set on ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Ryan Edwards in light of her recent break-up with long-time love Kyle King. You recall that the pair didn’t make it after alleged pressure on Kyle from Maci to marry her ASAP. Of course, does anyone think that Maci was ever really over Bentley’s dad?
Yet another “source” close to the young mom reveals, “He’s always been the one. She’s still in love with Ryan. A part of it is definitely the chemistry — she thinks he’s really hot.”
Ahh, young love. I wonder if these girls will ever learn that being “hot” isn’t the most important building block in a healthy, stable relationship. Probably not.
The conclusion of Teen Mom 2 airs tonight on MTV at 10 PM ET.
DO YOU THINK COREY REALLY WANTS TO RECONCILE WITH LEAH? WILL THE TWO GET BACK TOGETHER? THOUGHTS ON HIS PORN WATCHING LEADING TO HER CHEATING? WAS MACI EVER REALLY OVER RYAN?
It’s the curtain call for the girls of Teen Mom 2, and we can only hope they have learned from their many struggles during the recent installment of the franchise. It’s doubtful, but we can hope! Last night the moms sat down with, the one-and-only, Dr. Drew Pinsky, to discuss the hardships they faced during their sophomore season.
Dr. Drew begins with a recap of the season. Sidebar, are Kailyn and Leah going to the same hairdresser? Their hairstyles are shades of off-white and stark white, respectively. After watching the footage, both are already teary. Kailyn claims she is upset watching her friend get upset. The show has brought the pair closer.
Chelsea reveals that Aubree loves doing her hair and make-up. It appears that maybe Chelsea was sitting a seat over from the blondes in the salon. She has also been visiting Year Round Brown, as she’s very tan. Jenelle expounds on what Chelsea has said about Aubree and Jace…apparently the toddlers are either fighting or making out when they are in the same room. The therapy session cuts to commercial, and of course the first advertisement (of many, I’m sure) introduces the newest teens on 16 and Pregnant. #Depressing.

Last night was the 90 minute finale of Teen Mom 2. Doesn’t MTV realize that some of us have to go to bed at a decent hour? It’s not a feature length movie (yet), it’s a weekly television program. Sheesh.
The show begins as Jenelle heads out west and she moves to Beverly, Hills that is enters a rehab program. She’s met at the airport by a counselor (?) and shares her fears and anxieties with him as she texts on the way to her Malibu center. The staff searches her bags, and she is quick to admit there may be a “blunt wrapper” or two among her belongings. A quick urine test reveals that she has marijuana in her system. No biggie. She meets with her therapist who lectures her on any drug talk. Jenelle tells her that she wants to repair the relationship with her mother, and her only problem with weed is that she’s not allowed to smoke it. Fair enough. Dr. Drew? Are you watching?
