The reality star, 26, who battled a bad case of the swine flu last month, will be performing live on Tuesday night’s live results show. “I’m so excited but I’m not nervous. I’m not being judged so it’s all for fun. But I remember that feeling last season when I made it to the semifinals. I was so happy I made it, but I also knew how much hard work was ahead,” says Melissa.
In other news, host Samantha Harris, believes viewers are in for an exciting semi final week.“It’s anyone’s game,” says Harris. “The competition has picked up so much momentum in the past two weeks and now it’s come down to the final four and the right final four.”
In a new interview with SeattlePI, Molly Malaney opens up about her new life post The Bachelor. Molly talks about her recent engagement to Jason Mesnick, dealing with her new found fame, and settling down in Seattle with Jason, and his son Ty. Molly reveals that she and Jason are planning to get married within the next year.
Excerpts from Molly’s Interview below -
On Wedding Date – No. We haven’t had even a minute to think about the wedding. We haven’t even had one discussion about it. Now that things are slowing down, I think we’ll start talking. There are so many different factors: Is it going to be on TV? Is it going to be part of a magazine spread? Or are we just going to do it ourselves? It will definitely be in the next year.
On Dealing With Tabloid Attention – It’s amazing, seeing how personally invested people get. A lot of it, first of all, just with all the backlash that happened after the show, it was like, “Hello, people. It’s a television show!” Even today there’s still a small group of people who are still upset about it and still have animosity toward Jason and it’s just so strange to me.
I can’t say I regret going on the show or going through all the tabloid drama because I met the person I’m going to spend the rest of my life with, which makes it worth it. And I think a lot of our success comes from having gone through all that negativity. I mean, it sucked. It totally sucked going through it, but it brought us a lot closer.
On Life With Jason – We are complete opposites. Oh my God. Two totally separate people. But it works. We disagree about any little thing. What to eat, how to rearrange the living room. But at the end of the day we love going to bed together and waking up next to each other and just being with each other. So our personalities definitely complement themselves. But he is so carefree and easygoing, doesn’t let a thing bother him. Everything just slides off. And he is such a glass-half-full kind of person. He always sees the positive side of everything. Whereas I am very square and safe and play by the rules, I’m very organized, and very consistent, so yeah — we’re very different. But we pull each other in the right direction. He eases me up a little bit and I kind of wrangle him in.
The new season of The Bachelor only began filming weeks ago, but Jake Pavelkaalready believes he has met his future wife on the reality dating series.
Jake reveals to AccessHollywood during a group date for the show, “She is in Los Angeles right now. I have met Mrs. Pavelka.” The 31-year-old Texan says he has not officially chosen the woman he’ll marry yet, but believes she is among the 25 hopefuls currently vying for his love.
AccessHollywood reveals there will be three single mothers amongst the women competing, whom Jake calls, “The prettiest cast I have ever seen on the show.” As for whether Jake has any jitters about picking the wrong woman, reminiscence to whatJason Mesnick did on his season, Jakes reveals he has no fears.
“It doesn’t scare me. I am going to let my heart lead,” he says. ‘I think Jason Mesnick in the end wound up with the right decision. I understand they are engaged. I bumped into Molly a couple of weeks ago in the airport and she is just giddy over that guy. So he is walking on a good path.”
The new season of “The Bachelor” returns January 2010.
The coupon discusses their engagement details, as well as the hardships they had to go through in their relationship. Jason famously dumped his former fiance, Melissa Rycroft, on national television to begin dating Molly.
When asked why he dumped Melissa, Jason reveals, “Melissa is a great girl, but there wasn’t any chemistry,” he admits. “So I broke up with her after Christmas, about a month after we wrapped.”
Jason admits the controversial After the Final Rosetaping wasn’t the ideal time or place to try to rekindle things with Molly and win her back. “Obviously, I didn’t want it all on TV, but I had to take the chance if it meant getting her back. I’d rather have picked up the phone, trust me!”
Jason goes on to reveal a somewhat surprising tidbit when he says Molly gave up being the next Bachelorette to be with him. He tells US that show producers — a week after his ill-fated proposal to Melissa — “kept asking me if I thought Molly would make a good Bachelorette.”
He however realized he was “not willing to let Molly go on TV and have 25 guys fight over her.” If Jason’s story is to be believed, this would mean Jillian Harris was the third choice to be the Bachelorette, as Melissa also declined an opportunity to do the show.
The nine remaining contestants on Dancing with the Stars are prepared to face a tough week, as they will be hitting the ballroom floor with three new routines. The three routines will include their typical dance performance, a group dance competition, and a performance of the jitterbug or the waltz.
“It’s been such a tough week because of all the new dances,” model Joanna Krupatells PEOPLE. “It’s definitely nerve-wracking with everything that’s going on.”
“This is going to take a lot of stamina,” says Joanna. “[The mambo] is supposed to last for four minutes so keeping that energy up is one thing and then to be on the dance floor with eight other couples, that’s already stressful. Plus, I don’t want to get that tap!”
Unfortunately for the stars, two couples will be eliminated this week instead of just one. The couple with the lowest score, based on the judges’ scores and fan votes, will be automatically eliminated. The remaining two couples will then do a 40-second dance-off and judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will determine who else goes home.
“It’s all about who can maintain, who can endure, who can take on more than one dance at a time,” says Melissa Joan Hart, who will be performing the waltz with partner Mark Ballas. “It’ll be interesting, definitely a battle.”
Former Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft revealed to UsWeekly that she has the swine flu.
“I am indeed recovering from a bout of the H1N1 flu virus,” Melissa, 26, tells Usmagazine. “Like most people who become infected, I thought I had a mild case of the common flu, but when my symptoms exacerbated, I immediately went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with H1N1 and given the proper medications to cure the infection.”
Melissa who also appeared on last season’s Dancing With The Stars wants people to know “how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor.” She continues, “I’m a clear case that by paying diligent attention to your health, it’s easy to overcome this illness and be healthy again.”
Jake Pavelka is speaking out on being chosen to be the new Bachelor. The official announcement was made on Tuesday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars.
Jake reveals to UsMagazine that he is “honored” to be given a second chance at love as the latest Bachelor. Jake was dumped on the last season of The Bachelorette by Jillian Harris. “It’s such a unique opportunity,” Jake, 31, revealed after the DWTS show taping in Los Angeles Tuesday. “I still cannot believe this is happening. How did I get here?”
When asked about the drama from last season including the accusation that Wes Hayden had a girlfriend back home, Jake reveals he hopes that’s something he will not have to deal with. “I hope that’s something we don’t deal with this season,” he said. “I’m going to give everybody a clean slate going in, and I think over time [contestants] will weed themselves out. I’m hopeful.”
So who is Jake’s dream girl? “I’m going to look deep into the heart for character,” he said. “The four most important things to me are similar qualities — someone who is romantic, passionate, compassionate and protective … and will laugh at my jokes!”
Week 4 of Dancing With the Stars, brought us each of the 11 remaining couples performing one of four brand-new dances: the Bolero, the Charleston, the country two-step, and the Lambada.
Two couples tied for the highest score of the night. Melissa Joan Hart and her partner Mark Ballas received a high score of 28 for their fun Charleston dance. Myaand Dmitry Chaplin were the other dancing duo to score a 28 for their sultryLambada.
