Alex McCord

It seems Luann de Lesseps and cast-mate Ramona Singer have now made up following what Ramona calls an “accidental” re-tweet she made last week which showed the Countess’s 16-year-old daughter Victoria de Lesseps rolling up a joint and using the N-word in a youtube video.

In the above photo, tweeted by Alex McCord this week, you can see the Real Housewives of New York City stars looking rather chummy as they all headed out to lunch in Los Angeles paparazzi capital aka The Ivy restaurant.

The NY ladies are currently in LA to promote the upcoming 4th season of their Bravo show. “Luann and I may have our differences but we all respect each other,” Ramona told Radar on Wednesday. “We do get along and in fact we are having lunch together today.”

RadarOnline reported earlier this week that things had gotten so bad between Ramona and LuAnn that the two ladies refused to speak to each other or even be anywhere in the physical vicinity of one another.

“Ramona and Luann have both insisted to producers that they expressly be kept away from each other throughout the trip,” a source close to the situation told Radar. “To say they loathe each other would be an understatement!”

The source also added the two requested to “be put on totally separate flights and in addition they have requested that they are not even placed on the same floor of the hotel in LA.”

In other NYC news, Sonja Morgan hosted a ‘Show Me Your Best Burlesque’ party days ago.  The theme of the party was “Fishnets, Feathers and Flesh,” and in attendance were some of her fellow NYC Housewives.  Photos of Alex, Kelly, Ramona, Sonja and new housewife Cindy Barshop at the event below.  Also below are photos of the NYC Housewives doing press in LA. Judging by the pics, it’s pretty obvious how the cliques aligned this season.

Almost a week after a classless youtube video of her 16-year-old daughter made it’s way online (the video has since been removed from Youtube), Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is finally breaking her silence and denouncing her daughter Victoria de Lesseps’ actions, which included rolling up a joint and using the N-word.

In a statement given to Popeater, the Real Housewives of New York City star calls her daughter’s actions “unacceptable” and promises to use this setback to teach her about the consequences of said actions.

“I am the parent of a teenager, and as any parent can attest, teenagers go through periods of doing things that are wrong and not appropriate and that are later regretted,” said LuAnn. “My daughter Victoria knows that the behavior she exhibited was unacceptable. I have chosen to deal with this as a private family matter and an opportunity to discuss consequences of our actions.”

If you recall, LuAnn’s costar Ramona Singer re-tweeted the video after a fan tweeted it to her. Ramona then took down the tweet almost immediately. And now, Ramona is once again apologizing for her actions in a brief interview with Popeater’s Rob Shuter calling the re-tweeting “accidental.”

“I’m not very tech savvy, and [I’m] heartbroken that I accidentally retweeted this. I called Luann and Victoria immediately to apologize and tell them to remove the video. Regardless of our catfights on the show, our children are off-limits,” stated Ramona.

Alex McCord and hubby Simon Van Kempen however seemed to have a different take on things as they feel LuAnn should be more forgiving towards Ramona based on her own past actions.

“None of us are perfect, and sometimes we all tweet or retweet a little too hastily,” Simon said. “But it would be a little duplicitous for LuAnn to complain too much about Ramona’s regretful retweet when both she and Jill Zarin had great fun lambasting our oldest son throughout the third season.”

Alex added, “In the four years we’ve been involved with ‘Real Housewives,’ neither Simon nor I have ever said anything negative about any other castmates’ children. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for many others on the show.”

And finally, while LuAnn wants to deal with this issue privately and understandably so, Rob does report that Bravo cameras were on hand a few days ago to film an event during which Ramona, Alex and others discussed the issue. Which raises an important question – Is it fair for LuAnn to not want this issue discussed on camera?

One side of the argument is that LuAnn signed up for the show and to put her life on television, good or bad. Plus the issue is already public knowledge and involves a costar. Another side of the argument is that though LuAnn signed up to do the show, her daughter did not and should not have her dirty laundry aired on TV. Which brings us to the question…

Following the news that Sonja Morgan of the Real Housewives of New York City filed for bankruptcy last week, to the tune of $19.8 million in debt, her costars are now rallying behind her and voicing their support.

At a recent GLAAD event in NYC, PEOPLE magazine spoke to Ramona Singer who stated that Sonja will “be fine.” Ramona added, “She’s a great girl.”

Alex McCord showed her support by choosing to stay silent on the issue. “The first person to speak about [the bankruptcy] has to be Sonja,” said Alex. “We love her and adore her and … we’re going to support her by being silent.”

As we reported last Wednesday, Sonja filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, listing her debt at $19.8 million and her assets at $13.5 million. In the court filing, Sonja blamed a bitter divorce dispute and a failed venture to make a movie with John Travolta. Her production company lost $7 million in a lawsuit filed by the picture company.

“My current monthly income including support is about $26,000 per month,” Sonja stated in her filing. “And I expect this income to improve as new opportunities materialize.”

There are some questions about the difference between Sonja’s bankruptcy (Chapter 11) and Teresa Giudice’s bankruptcy (Chapter 7). Unlike Chapter 7, Chapter 11 bankruptcy doesn’t get rid of one’s debts. It is simply to restructure and change the terms of the debt and make plans to pay it back continuously through future earnings. So in actuality, there is a major difference between what Teresa did and what Sonja is trying to do.

Will she or won’t she? Is the question when it comes to Bethenny Frankel having a second baby.

The Real Housewives of New York City star stated a few months ago that she was likely done having children, but in a new interview with OK magazine, Bethenny, 39, mentions having another baby is still an option with hubby Jason Hoppy.

“Jason wants to have another baby, and I’m not sure, so the breast pump and the newborn clothes are in purgatory for who knows what will happen next,” she says.

She adds, “I’m almost 40, and it’s a decision that we’re talking about. It’s a conversation that needs to be had. I have a five-month-old baby, so I haven’t made that decision yet.”

Bethenny, who shares that 5-month-old Bryn has began rolling over, also states that she is lucky to have Jason as her partner. “Jason does everything,” she says. “He changes diapers, he watches her. We both do everything. I was told before I got into a relationship that if you want to have a child, you need a good partner. You could do it alone – I was prepared to do it alone – but it does help. There’s a lot to do, and you want someone who cares as much as you do about your child, so that’s the deal.”

In other NYC news, just days after Life&Style broke the news that Ramona Singer physically attacked a producer on the Real Housewives of NYC, UsWeekly is also confirming that Ramona did indeed hit the producer, except it wasn’t a slap but rather a punch!

“She was furious and felt like the producers were ganging up on her,” says one insider. “She literally lost her mind.” Ramona, 53, was reportedly shooting with Sonja Morgan and Alex McCord when she lost it.

“No one is really sure what exactly spurred her craziness,” a second source tells US. “But she got herself worked up over filming this scene and one thing led to another, and she punched the producer. Literally.”

With only one month into shooting, the producers are now trying “to mediate the situation so the cast all stays filming.” And somewhere in NYC, Kelly Bensimon is celebrating no longer being the lone crazy pants on the show.

Following the report weeks ago that Bravo had invited back all of the Real Housewives of New York City from season 3, Ramona Singer is now revealing which of her co-stars have accepted Bravo’s offer to return to the show!

Despite Kelly Bensimon and Jill Zarin’s proclamations on several occasions that they received unfair editing by Bravo, and that they were contemplating not coming back, Ramona tells PEOPLE magazine that both famewhores ladies will indeed be returning for season 4.

In fact, Ramona, 53, (Ramona’s 53? She looks great for her age) reveals all the ladies including Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, Alex McCord, Countess LuAnn, will be coming back. However, as we have previously reported, Bethenny will only make guest appearances on the season. “Bethenny will come on a little bit. We need a Bethenny moment,” said Ramona.

Also joining all the ladies pictured above will be a new housewife. Ramona confirms the news to UsWeekly that a new NYC housewife will be joining the cast when filming begins next week. “We have this new girl coming on. She is very happy with herself,” Ramona tells Usmagazine. “Not to say I’m not going to get pissed at her or have a fight with her about something — that’s just who I am sometimes! I can’t help it. But it’s better I tell it to your face then behind your back, right?”

Ramona also discusses Bethenny’s return to the show in her UsWeekly interview telling the site Bethenny will make “cameo appearances, just like I did on her show.” In true Ramona fashion, she seems to take a shot, perhaps an unintentional shot at Teresa Giudice when she adds, “We are intertwined in a sense. She proved to Bravo you don’t have to have table-flipping to get ratings.”

In other NYC news, The HollywoodReporter is reporting that Bethenny has began filming the second season of her hit spin-off show, Bethenny Getting Married, this week. This comes as no surprise as the show was a hit for Bravo, giving the network it’s highest rated series debut in its history. A source tells the site Bravo will likely change the name of the show.

While Bravo has reportedly invited all of the Real Housewives of New York City, excluding Jennifer Gilbert, back for a 4th season, it seems the housewives are a bit reluctant to sign the dotted line.

The NYPost is reporting that ladies are banding together, refusing to sign a new contract with the network unless they get more money. Jersey Shore money to be exact.

See, the Post states the ladies are earning a mere $4,000 per episode for their show, while MTV reality star Snooki earns $30,000 per episode on the Jersey Shore hit show.

They’ve got a lot more to say,” Jill Zarin a source close to the Housewives tells the Post, adding that the ladies “have little choice but to pimp themselves out with side gigs to bump up their earnings.”

“It’s a full-time job without the full-time pay,” a second source says. “That’s why a reality star with any sense does a book line or jewelry line to support being on the show.”

Well let’s examine things to see if the NYC ladies really deserve more money. The show averaged 2 million viewers per episode last season, while the Jersey Shore’s current season is averaging 5 million viewers. So simple calculation shows that solely based on the ratings, the ladies should be earning at least $12,000 per episode. Oddly enough, the Jersey Shore cast and the Real Housewives of NYC cast have about the same number of cast members.

Also, it is likely that Bethenny Frankel is not involved in this negotiation process with the other housewives. With the success of her spin off show, there’s a good chance her negotiations is being done solo and she will likely earn more money than her co-stars if and when she returns to the show. For example, TMZ reported Jersey Shore’s The Situation is earning $60,00o per episode on the show, way more than all of his other co-stars.

More crazy coming your way on the next season of the Real Housewives of New York City.

The NYDailyNews is reporting today that Bravo has asked back all of the ladies of last season with the exception of one. Who wasn’t asked back? Bethenny Frankel, who has been very vocal about not wanting to return to the show.

It seems Bravo is pleased and content with the success of Bethenny’s spin off show – Bethenny Getting Married, as she is currently filming a second season.

Now on to the shocker, which is the return of Kelly Bensimon, who famously had a mental breakdown last season, and has bashed the network for false editing and forcing her to go on the St. John trip. Even Bravo’s VP of programming, Andy Cohen, recently referred to Kelly’s breakdown as “deeply disturbing” in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine. But oh well, who cares! Evidently, crazy sells!

So if all the ladies accept Bravo’s offer, the 4th season of the NYC Housewives will include a cast of Kelly, Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and new housewife Sonja Morgan.

Both Jill and Kelly have mentioned uncertainty about returning for another season, but something tells us the two famewhores ladies will be back.

There’s no word on whether Jennifer Gilbert will be returning. The Daily News also mentions Bravo is interested in casting a certain nameless “wealthy Hamptons housewife.”

On tonight’s episode of Bethenny’s Getting Married? We finally get to see Bethenny get married!

The big day has finally arrived and Bethenny Frankel is indeed getting married! A few select housewives aka Alex McCord and Ramona Singer (and plenty of awaiting paparazzi) are present as the Bride prepares to walk down the aisle. With her due date in the near future, a very pregnant Bethenny gets desperate when she needs a bathroom break too close to show time.

Tune in tonight at 10/9c on Bravo to see Bethenny and Jason exchange their vows. Photos from the big day can be seen here.

Speaking of Bethenny, though a lot of amazing things seem to be happening to her – think PEOPLE magazine cover and a hit reality show – some are starting to wonder if it’s all too much too soon.

I blogged a while back stating that watching Bethenny on BGM gave me some cringeworthy moments. I didn’t go into detail about it but the folks at wrote a good article asking is Bethenny to BGM what Jill Zarin was to the Real Housewives of New York City. As in is well liked Bethenny the villain of her own show?

Examples of Bethenny’s villainess behavior include asking her assistant Max Meisel to pick out her panties for her, scolding him for not having the car ready after one of her speaking arrangements, getting snappy with fiance Jason, or how about when Jason’s mom took Bethenny wedding dress shopping and tearfully told her “I finally have a daughter.” Bethenny seemed moved by her comments and teared up as well only to then turn around and act like she was doing the woman a favor, in therapy, when she stated “I could have gone on my own.”

It didn’t end there as Bethenny then held it against Jason during a later argument about how she had to take his mom dress-shopping. The writer makes an excellent point when she says Bethenny “should be thanking these people for not holding it against her that she’s dragged them onto Bravo.”

Another blogger at wrote a nice article asking “Is Bethenny Frankel being built up just to be torn down?” Bethenny seems to be at her peak right now with the husband, hit show, popularity amongst the fans, and of course the PEOPLE magazine cover. And trust folks, the People magazine cover is a HUGE deal. She’s been on the cover before but she’s never had the main cover dedicated to her. That’s a first for any Bravo reality star. In fact the only other reality stars who has had a cover story dedicated to them on People are Kate Gosselin, and some past Bachelor alums. Oh yeah, and the above picture is of Bethenny during her appearance on CBS’ Early Show today.

The article questions if the tide is turning for Bethenny as some fans are jumping ship based on what they’ve seen on BGM, you know Bethenny being a pregzilla bridezilla. Then there’s also been the negative press questioning her rapid weight loss after the birth of daughter Bryn, and the whole beef with reality villainess Omarosa.

But then again perhaps we the bloggers are over-analyzing what we see on TV. My take on this? I’m a Bethenny fan, and still like her for the moment. My fear however is those sentiments might change by the time this season of BGM ends. I hope that’s not the case. Perhaps I’m just overreacting to what is normal behavior by a hormonal pregnant lady who’s planning a wedding. But perhaps I’m not. Perhaps Bethenny is just too honest and doesn’t know where to draw the line in filming a reality show. Or perhaps she’s just a villain. I would love to hear your views and opinions on Bethenny on Bethenny Getting Married?
