Alina Wilson

California native Alina Wilson found herself the latest contestant eliminated from the newly merged Libertad tribe on the last episode of Survivor Nicaragua.

In a new interview with In Touch magazine, the 23-year-old discusses being called an accomplice to NaOnka’s food theft, why she thinks Sash is the puppet master, and her feelings on NaOnka today after watching the show. Excerpts from Alina’s interview below -

Q: You seemed to put up a good fight to stay?
Alina:
It was definitely a scramble. The audience finally saw why people were gunning for me when I did what I needed to do. I was either going home or scrambling to do what I had to do. I knew I was on the chopping block, but was so surprised to see how much Benry and Chase were against me. I was uncomfortable about Benry from the beginning, but tried not to be paranoid. I wish it had turned out differently.

Q: In your opinion who is the puppet master?
Alina:
I hate to say it, as I don’t like him whatsoever, but I gotta say Sash. He seems to be in control. While I was there he was a very quiet player, always kept to himself, has THE lowest, most irritating voice, so the way they are showing him is perfect. I really don’t know how he took control and has Brenda eating out of his palm. And telling NaOnka she was his No. 1 girl? Puke! I didn’t trust him, as I knew if he could get in power he could have done damage. But keeping NaOnka onside was a very good move and something I would have done.

Q: What are your feelings on NaOnka now? After she played tricks on the tribe and then threw you to the wolves as her accomplice?
Alina:
I would respect her a lot more if she had done it strategically and thought about it. She didn’t do it on purpose, but rather went with what she was feeling. Stealing that stuff was such a random thing to do. And then bring me on it? It was even more random to admit to it and use me. I was just there and hated that I was. But she threw me to the wolves and I am not fond of her. Then seeing all of her behind the scenes comments, she is even more disgusting than I thought. She has a major chip on her shoulder; she’s unpredictable, cold and disgusting. She’s setting a bad example for the kids she works with.

Thoughts On Last Episode – I know I keep mentioning this but seriously, just how insane is NaOnka? I mean where do they find these people? Every time I watch her say something insane (comments about Kelly’s one leg) or do something outrageous (stealing food from the camp), I just sit there in disbelief, knowing that people like this do exist in real life. I also can’t believe she’s 27-years-old and an elementary school teacher. With that being said, it seems Sash is playing the best game so far. Keeping NaOnka in the game? Genius. She is like Russell, except only worse. No one will vote for her if she makes it to the finals. Sash’s decision to also keep Marty in the game? Genius. At this point Marty will be part of the final jury, and it seems Sash is securing a vote by keeping his word to Marty. Also, I do find myself rooting for Marty as he seems to be the underdog at the moment.

Must say things are starting to heat up on Survivor following the merge. I can’t wait for tonight’s episode! And speaking of the new episode, a preview is below -

“Marty and Jane will continue their war of words as they try to get one another ousted from the game. In a high-stakes challenge, the men are pitted against the women as they run, crawl and crash their way through an obstacle course. Meanwhile, one castaway makes a difficult decision that backfires, allowing another castaway the opportunity to devise a strategy to flush out the hidden immunity idol and blindside a rival.”
