If you'll recall, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood have refused to move forward with Teen Mom with Farrah in tow. They allegedly do not want their kids to share airtime with a porn star hawking sex toys. I do NOT blame them – but there is no show withoutFarrah. IMO. Farrah's special brand of narcissistic crazy makes great TV.
According to Us, MTV exes "willingly cut" Farrah out of the negotiations due to her co-stars' concerns. "MTV agreed," claimed an inside source. "They feel she set a bad example and doesn't represent the network well."
This won't end well. Speaking to a gossip magazine about Jenelle is not quite what I had in mind when Amber said she wanted to help others. Amber began, "It's not like you can wake up one day and be like, 'Hey, I'm clean' – it's irresponsible and immature." Addressing Jenelle, Amber added, "You have one child you need to think about before you have another."
Reality TV stars and legal issues are like siamese twins! This year several stars dealt with legal problems from bankruptcies and foreclosures to lawsuits and arrests.
Without a doubt Real Housewives of New Jersey stars take the crown when it comes to most time spent in court – like a lot, a lot. But the ladies of Real Housewives of Orange County are not far behind them! Of course it wasn't just the Housewives who were getting hauled to court or busted by the IRS or mugshotted; several other shows represented well and held their own!
Below is the 2013 legal round up.
Above, Jenelle Evans confuses a jail cell with a spa and thinks it's a place you visit periodically to get away from it all! The Teen Mom 2 star, whose antics practically caused a cancelation for the show, racked up a whopping FIVE mugshots this year! #CheckMyCharges #GoogleMyMugshots
In the preview clip, Amber admits to Dr. Phil that she was high the entire time she filmed Teen Mom. "Every time you see me on that show, I was high, except for when I was on 16 and Pregnant," she shares. "This is actually my first time on stage sober, so I'm really nervous."
After following Teen Mom train wrecks Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans, it's refreshing to read about a Teen Mom star who has worked hard to turn her life around and learned from her mistakes. I am proud ofAmber Portwood for making the decisions she has to make a better life for herself and Leah.
In her first interview since being released from prison on November 4, Amber talked to In Touch about her pill addiction, prison life, and future plans.
"Before prison, I never thought aboutLeah," admitted Amber. "I was addicted to drugs and didn't care about anything else. Prison saved my life – and gave me a second chance at being a mother." Note to Jenelle: the picture above is what a second chance as a mom looks like, not a positive pregnancy test.
Amber Portwood shocked us when she asked a judge to send her to prison eighteen months ago. Now, out on parole, the former Teen Mom star is making plans for the future and working on her relationship with her daughter.
In a recent interview, Shawn Portwood insisted his sister is clearheaded and sober now, adding that Amber's working hard to rebuild her life.
"Amber's focus is college," said Shawn. "Then she wants to start her own drug rehabilitation program." Sound crazy? Maybe not!Amber was released from prison after serving only seventeen months of a five year sentence mostly due to selflessly helping other inmates better themselves.
Following her release, Shawn Portwood tweeted, "Amber is out and looking better than she ever has because she is clean of drugs and healthy. Time to start a new chapter. I love you, sis." Later that night, he added, "After spending the day with her, I know she will be OK."
Amber went from prison to a burger restaurant for lunch to her daughter Leah. Mom and daughter were reunited Monday night. Gary Shirley has full custody of Leah currently, but Amber hopes to obtain joint custody soon.
