The Real Housewives of Orange County's drama is never ending, but the ladies certainly seem to be ramping up their public appearances on the heels of all of the reunion insanity–and to think, we've got one more installment!
The O.G. of the O.C. Vicki Gunvalson continues to go on (and on and on and on) about her depleted love tank, and Gretchen Rossi is still devastated that her frienemies thought her proposal to Slade Smiley was just for the cameras. So it wasn't? What these ladies fail to realize is that they keep replaying the same old story lines…and the season is done filming!
Of her take on Melissa's experience at her launch party, Teresa writes, "I was sorry that Melissa got into a fight with one of her best friends at the launch party. For the record, I didn't invite Jan or Penny. The party was open to any salon owners who called in and spoke with the Youthful 8 company reps. As soon as I found out Jan had RSVPed, I called Melissa to warn her and make sure she would be OK with it. If Melissa didn't want them to come, believe me, I would have uninvited them immediately!" I believe that, don't you?
Teresa continues, "I don't really know Jan, I just know she was one of Melissa's best girlfriends, and they were in each other's wedding. I have no idea why Jan and Melissa would have a falling out, but like I said in my interview on the show, I have Melissa's back…When Jan and Melissa were talking, I was right there to make sure it didn't get out of hand. My brother was right there too, and he wasn't upset, shrugging it off as crazy talk, so I did too. My main concern was that Melissa knew I was there for her." Really? I don't believe Melissa as far as I could throw her, but it appeared to me that Teresa didn't want to leave because she didn't want anyone to say something she wasn't expecting…
Yeppers, that happened – Teresa Giudice is likely pulling her own Orange Is the New Black (please watch that!) and headed to the federal penitentiary. One wonders what her boss thinks of the latest… When asked about Teresa's predicament, Andy Cohen claimed he was as in the dark as the rest us plebeians!
“I don’t have any more information than anyone at home does,” he revealed in an @askandy webseries. “So I don’t really have a take except that I’m thinking of them and the kids. I certainly hope it resolves itself in a happy way.”
While I was excited to tune in to last night's season premiere, it's been evident from the promos that Josh Altman's story line is going to revolve around getting engaged to girlfriend and Madison Hildebrand defector Heather Bilyeu. She's now Mauricio's right hand girl…I wonder how Splits feels about that! That said, it came as no shock to find out that Josh did finally get down on one knee (metaphorically speaking, I assume…he'd never want to get his pants dirty).
Well, seasons change, and the women are once again on the outs thanks to wedding gown shopping and Reba McEntire. "Here's your one chance Fancy, don't let me down." But let each other down both fancy pants did, and now they are back to snarking about each other on social media. That didn't take long. Full circle, some might say…
You know, sometimes when the women of the different housewives franchises are promoting their endeavors, they seem real and down-to-earth. Then there are times when one will try to sound real and down-to-earth and end up coming across as totally ridiculous. In my opinion, this is what happened in a recent interview with Real Housewives of New Jersey'sMelissa Gorga.
I'm neither a fan nor a hater of Melissa, but gracious, she sounds so self-important when all I think she's trying to do is promote her new tome and connect with her fans, but it's just too much. I'm sure she's a nice girl, but please. I'll let you decide for yourselves, but in the meantime…bless her heart.
Speaking to the a local New Jersey CBS station, Melissa shares that she's always up for meeting her adoring fans. I'm sure she is! She says, “I’m very welcoming to the fans, I always take pictures and always talk to everyone. I would never come all the way out there and not talk to people.” Melissa knows who pays the bills!
Teresa Giudice and Dr. V were together on tonight's episode of Watch What Happens Live. They spent the episode reflecting on the retreat and dishing on everything from Caroline Manzo coming up to help, and Teresa reverting back to her "I'm not to blame" mentality. It left me smacking my head against the wall just a little bit.
Dr. V starts off about her first impression of Teresa, "I met a very whole hearted person, a very vulnerable person." She says she was inspired by the entire family by the time she left.
When Andy plays a clip ofJoe Giudice being the voice of reason, Teresa tears up, saying "because I know my Joe's a sweetheart."
The first caller asks Teresa how it felt to be hugged Joe and Melissa? And also why she called Melissa a bitch? "I was kidding, first of all. It (the hugs) felt really great. It felt good. That's how we are, we kid around. My husband and my brother always bust each others chops. Me and Melissa don't do it that much, but a little bit. That's how we are. And hello, you see Richie. He's like that alll the time."
You know, I have mad respect for how hard the ladies of the housewives' franchise work. When they aren't filming drama-licious episodes, they are on a constant media tour, touting their products, and giving a whirlwind of interviews. Of course, we all know that no housewife is on her game more than Real Housewives of New Jersey'sTeresa Giudice, and you have to give her mad respect for that!
Speaking to Out In Jersey, Tre dishes on everything from her favorite dishes (what a segue!) to her family dramz. Of her latest cookbook Fabulicious On The Grill, Teresa opines, "It's really refreshing right?! This book is all about eating clean, and exercising of course. You are what you eat, people need to get that by now," adding, "I've been exercising for the past two seasons and it's been great, they really go hand in hand. I cook the way you see in the book, simple and easy, and always with fresh ingredients. That's really what people need to understand, it doesn't have to be fancy. You can make a great meal with fresh and simple ingredients."
Teresa also reveals that she's always had a passion for cooking, and she hopes that her girls will share her love of all things culinary. She says, "I'm first generation Italian, it's definitely what I love to do. The cooking, the cleaning, all of the traditional things like that, like the old days. I really think that the new generation loses that, and it's really important. Those are the things that were instilled in me, like keeping a good house and having old school values. I want my daughters to do these things for their families, which is what really inspired me to do the books. It's a memoir for my daughters to have for the future."
