It was the smush heard around the world. On the latest episode of the Jersey Shore, we all saw Vinny and Angelina hookup following a night of drinking and clubbing.
The hook-up was shocking considering the two hated each, and had spent the entire episode having heated words of exchange.
In a new interview with UsWeekly, Vinny Guadagninotells the site that he has no regrets. “I don’t [regret it] at all,” said Vinny to US on Friday night. “It might seem like I do because you watch it on TV and people [wonder], like, ‘what are you thinking?’”
Despite his no regrets attitude, Vinny does make it clear his hookup with Angelina Pivarnick wasn’t his proudest moment. “Angelina isn’t the best person to hookup with, but we were out partying and having fun,” he says before adding, “They aren’t all going to be 9s and 10s!”
Following her latest hook up with Vinny, the Staten Island ferry Angelina has now slept with all the guys on the show with the exception of Ronnie.
It also seems Jersey Shore might be on par to becoming the highest rated series in the history of MTV. The last 2 episodes have averaged over 6 million viewers. For those not familiar with cable TV ratings, that number is astonishing. Airing tonight at 7/6c is an all new episode of the show. It airs before the VMAs.

Goodluck to Angelina. She might need it trying to get past Mama Bear Manzo.
In other Jersey Shore news, the show’s break out star Snookiisn’t taking too well to the President saying he didn’t know who she was during his recent appearance of The View talk show.
Snooki, who might or might not be getting an inflated ego, tells E! News – “I know he knows who I am… Why did he have to lie and say he didn’t know me? He did say Snooki and JWoww about the tanning stuff and now he doesn’t know who I am? He has to stop lying.”
What Snooki is referring to was back in May at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner when President Obama joked about a tanning tax, saying “the following individuals shall be excluded from the indoor tanning tax within this bill: Snooki, JWOWW, The Situation and House minority leader John Boehner.”
Perhaps someone should inform Snooki the President has speech writers…

In what seems like deja vu, the Jersey Shore cast is once again in a widely publicized contract dispute with MTV, all regarding the third season of the hit show.
Despite the fact that the 2nd season has yet to even air, TMZ is reporting MTV is ready to begin filming a season three. However, the cast is very unhappy with their contract situation that they refused to shoot scenes for the upcoming third season until they get a better deal.
According to TMZ, the cast was supposed to begin shooting “at home” scenes yesterday for the third season, but JWoww, Ronnie, Sammi, Pauly D and Vinny ended up telling the crews they weren’t shooting without new contracts.
SnookiandThe Situation are scheduled to shoot today, and Snooki will reportedly be following in the footsteps of her castmates, while there’s no word yet on what The Situation plans to do.
The reason the cast wants more money? Well the first season was a huge hit for the MTV network, bringing in higher ratings than The Hills plus sources close to the cast tell TMZ the cast feels they can make more money doing appearances for two months, rather than filming the show.
RadarOnline is also reporting Angelina Pivarnick will not be returning for a third season. Famous for leaving the show early last season, she reportedly did the same again while filming season two in Miami.
Angelina explains why she left the show to Radar, “With all of the people in the house getting physically violent with each other, and all the diva personalities on- and off- camera, I just knew that I’d be happier if I left.” She added, “The working conditions in the house were pretty brutal, I can’t get into details, but you’ll see it all, I’m sure, when season two airs.”
MTV is once again stirring up controversy with the debut of their new show – Jersey Shore. The show, which follows a group of 20 something year old Italians as they live and work on the Garden State’s shoreline, has been criticized by some Italian American groups as being offensive and reinforcing stereotypes of Italian-Americans.
UNICONational — the “Largest Italian American Service Organization in the USA” — claims they “can’t keep up with the volume of calls” from “outraged” Italian Americans. They added that it should be pulled from the air. The backlash doesn’t end there, as advertisers – Domino’s and American Family Insurance have requested that their ads be pulled from the show.
MTVhowever continues to stand by the show. “We understand that this show is not intended for every audience and depicts just one aspect of youth culture,” MTV’s spokesman told Fox News on Tuesday. “Our intention was never to stereotype, discriminate or offend.”
The cast of Jersey Shore can be seen continuously referring to themselves as “Guidos” and “Guidettes” on the show. Both terms have long been found to be offensive to Italians.
One of the cast members, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, however defends the use of the term ‘Guido.’ “The older generation doesn’t understand. These days in New York and New Jersey a ‘guido’ is a good-looking Italian male that likes to have fun and a ‘guidette’ is a good-looking Italian girl,” Mike tells EW.com.
I actually saw the premier episode of this show and was a bit surprised to see the term “Guido,” be used so frequently by the cast. Always assumed the term was offensive. Other than that, the show pretty much fell in line with all the other MTV reality shows, such as the Real World. It was pretty much the same formula – follow a group of 20 something year olds as they get drunk, and make complete asses of themselves on national television. It’s likely the show is here to stay as it premiered to rather good ratings, the premier episode was seem by a total of 1.4 million viewers.
