I will never understand how people can not like Real Housewives of New Jersey'sKathy Wakile. She is just so down-to-earth and (compared to her cast mates) drama free. I'll be honest, I felt badly for her during the finale. All she wanted to do was enjoy her salad!
Kathy plays the voice of reason in such a ridiculous situation. Of course, she seems just as confused and bewildered as most viewers who were watching that debacle go down.
Luckily, Kathy is trying to make sense of the madness, and she's breaking it down for us…not that she draws any conclusions. I am still so baffled by all of it, so forgive me if I come across as a befuddled mess–and I've watched the finale three times!
First of all I have to admit I spend way WAY too much time analyzing the antics of the Housewife. They are an odd specimen, aren't they? And Real Housewives of New Jersey in particular. Although those ladies leave me wanting to turn into Pinot Fabulous Singer and just get sloshied all day, I have to admit they really keep it interesting from the psychological perspective.
Which leads me to last nights FINAL season finale of RHONJ. And out it all came like projectile vomit. Except I was left with way more questions than I had to begin with. I mean will I ever get the answers I'm looking for or will I die questing to know what exactly happened at the infamous S4 Posche Trashion Show? I guess if I can ever manage to get stranded on a desert island with Teresa Giudice I might learn the truth, but until then all I'm left with is an an aneurysm from wonder and a seriously large bill for TherapyByBravo. You're paying for this right @bravo_andy?
It is not often that a Housewives show rivals that of a Shakespearean drama with so many higher level plot points circulating around. I literally feel dizzy. Bravo has truly outdone themselves, but they've also truly over done themselves and I don't think they can ever come back from the edge with this one.
Well, well… what have we here. Is it Melissa Gorga appearing on the cover of a tabloid, which she undoubtedly got paid to be on, bashing co-star Teresa Giudice? I mean no big right – except for the fact that we just spent an ENTIRE season of Real Housewives of New Jersey discussing how Teresa was a terrible person for doing just that!
Oh my how the tables have turned. Spin, spin, spin Melissa – gotta get that story out. Now, I fully (and I mean FULLY) expect Teresa to be next with some bigger badder media (Extra?, 20/20? People? OPRAH?) hopping out there to do the same, but I just find it very ironic after all Melissa's lambasting about how Teresa was using her friends and families to make money and get attention. Hypocrite or is Teresa just getting what she deserves?
Me thinks Melissa's real annoyance with tabloid-gate was that no one wanted to put her pretty face on the cover of a magazine. Well, except for that free New Jersey weekly. Lady Gorga, anyone? Anyway, now here she is! She's got a story and now she's got a cover. So let's see what Lady Gorga has to say, shall we.

Sometimes Real Housewives of New Jersey is the gift that keeps on giving. And sometimes it's the white elephant present that gets passed round and round at the party cause nobody wants to take it home. After last night's episode I have come to deduce two things: 1) That Kim D and the producers are crazy, maniacal, and will do anything for drama – hence setting up both Teresa GiudiceANDMelissa Gorga OR 2) Teresa is the world's best actress, has truly missed her calling, and needs to get on Broadway ASAP.
I'll do my best to remain neutral in this recap because I have my own opinion on what's going on – regardless of what the other members of the RHONJ are attempting to spin. So it's just check my sanity at the door here and suspend my rational thoughts – you know like any good Jersey Housewife!
And I'll also do my best to remain positive, because when it's all said and done this wasn't a bad episode. For the most part everyone was nice to each other, respectful, and got along. Well, except for Richie Wakile who is doing his damnedest to stay relevant and carve himself a niche in the show. More on him in a minute.
There’s always something with the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Which is probably why they’re our favorite of the Housewives franchises. The ladies can never keep the drama or the fashions tame and understated. As the ladies have been making the media rounds to promote the upcoming season, one key member of the cast has been conspicuously absent.
Teresa Giudice has been keeping a lowish profile as of late – at least where the RHONJ is concerned – and focusing on her other reality venture, Celebrity Apprentice. Apparently that’s a calculated move on her co-tarts’ part as they are refusing to do any publicity with her! Eeks.
And apparently the cast is yet again blaming Teresa for all of this season’s drama. “This season is the most dramatic yet,” Melissa one cast member reveals. “It got so ugly that I’m not sure any of us will want to return for another season if Teresa remains on the show. The betrayal and backstabbing is heartbreaking. I have not seen how it will be all edited together yet, but let’s just say everyone will get to see [Teresa’s] true colors.”

Retaliating against Angelo Vrohidis’interview alleging that Melissa was a stripper at Lookers nightclub in Elizabeth, NJ; Melissa claims she can “prove” she was nothing of the sort by producing payroll sheets which list her as a “bar maid.” TMZ is reporting that Melissa’s lawyer obtained a “sworn affidavit” from club owner Chris Kontos that states Melissa “worked solely in the capacity as a bartender.” A copy of that affidavit is below.
The affidavit denies that Angelo ever managed Melissa, then Melissa Marco (her maiden name), during her part-time employment at Lookers and that her actual manager was named Larry Guarino, who previously stated: “She was a bartender for a couple of months years ago, it was such a short time. She was never ever a dancer.”
Melissa’s lawyer, James Leonard Jr, is warning the media and any would-be claimants that if they continue to besmirch Melissa’s reputation they will be sued! “At this time we are aggressively pursuing the commencement of litigation against any and all individuals, in any jurisdiction, who have or continue to disseminate false statements against Melissa Gorga.”
Apparently her quest for fame and the constant accusations about her past has taken its toll on Melissa’s marriage to Joe Gorga as she recently confessed to HollywoodLife, that it’s been stressful.
“This year, to be honest with you, I feel like there is a lot of stress from the show and being in the public eye,” Melissa revealed, while attending the Reeve Foundation Magical Evening Gala at NYC’s Cipriani Wall Street. ”All I want from my husband is to just… I just want to make sure we keep this bond that him and I have.”
“I don’t want to let anything or any person break it,” she added. “That to me is the most important thing because we had an amazing life before we entered this show. And we still do and I don’t want to let anything break it. I know this business can break you sometimes.” Perhaps she now understands how sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice feels…
Here’s my opinion: Melissa has a right to not want her past exposed, whether she is embarrassed that she worked in a strip club (in any capacity) or not or just doesn’t want people digging into her past, but she went on a national television show to expose her “real life” so she has to expect curiosity from the public beyond just what she wants us to see.
We know Melissa wants the world to view her as the happy and privileged wife of a prominent real estate developer, a loving mother, backstabbing sister-in-law and a hopeful singer — and we do see her that way, but like all of us Melissa has a past. Perhaps it’s a salacious past that she is ashamed of, perhaps not.
But here’s the thing, Melissa has no problem exposing, commenting on and discussing Teresa’s embarrassing moments, negative behaviors, family discord as well as financial issues to the media and the world. So is it really fair of her to demand that no one discuss her own situations? She didn’t mind when everyone was accusing Teresa of all sorts of misdeeds, but now she’s suing anyone who says something about her she doesn’t want to hear and getting into Twitter fights with people who don’t like her song? #JayMohr.
Melissa should let stripper-gate go. Drawing more and more attention to it pretty much guarantees that the media, the networks, the blogosphere are going to keep speculating about it. Melissa has a lot going for her and seems to have a pretty lovely life. She should focus on the positives. We know Melissa reads RT (she Tweeted that she loves it) so a little advice from me: the truth will come out whatever it is, so go practice singing and accept that you’re “On Display!”
THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST? DO YOU BELIEVE MELISSA WAS A STRIPPER OR JUST DESPERATE TO PROVE THAT IT’S ALL A LIE? THOUGHTS ON MELISSA’S COMMENTS ABOUT HER MARRIAGE?
Just when you thought the whole Porsche Fashion Show drama and stripper-gate was over, it has now been reopened all thanks to Angelo Vrohidis, who just happens to have been the General Manager for the Lookers strip club in New Jersey for over 13 years.
In what happens to be his first interview since the drama exploded in September, Angelo, former boss of Melissa Gorga, shockingly reveals she was indeed a stripper at his strip club and not a bartender as she has stated in the past. W.O.W.Z.E.R.S.
In the bombshell interview with the AllAboutTrh.com blog, Angelo talks Melissa’s alleged stripping past and admits he was at the Porsche Fashion Show, but denies Teresa Giudice had anything to do with his appearance there. Our sources have, however, insisted to us that Teresa was in 0n the plan to expose Melissa.
Below are excerpts from Angelo’s interview -
AllAboutTRH: Was Melissa Gorga a dancer at Lookers, or a bartender like she claims? Vrohidis: She was a dancer.
AllAboutTRH: How long did she dance for? Vrohidis: It was less than a year
AllAboutTRH: So you attended the fashion show? Vrohidis: Correct
AllAboutTRH: Did Teresa Giudice contact you to attend the fashion show? Vrohidis: No.
AllAboutTRH: So is it true that you went up to Melissa and as soon as she saw you, she ran to the bathroom? Vrohidis: No, actually, I was at the bar talking to some friends because a lot of my friends were at this event. I began talking to my friend, Mike, and his wife. We all started walking back over to our table. I happened to see Melissa so I walked up to her and said hello. She looked like she recognized me and seemed very, very embarrassed and shocked. I just said hello and briefly had a conversation with her and then sat down. I stayed for a while and then I left.
AllAboutTRH: Were you there when Melissa’s husband came to the event? Vrohidis: No, I had left. I received a phone call and had to be somewhere else. I had no idea her husband was coming and had no idea any of that stuff was going to happen. It’s not my place to know that.
AllAboutTRH: I heard you had a microphone on you, is that true? Vrohidis: Yes I did. I was asked to help promote my friend, John’s, salon and I was at the salon while Teresa was getting her hair done. Everyone in the salon had a mic on them.
AllAboutTRH: I heard Teresa was getting blamed for you being there and you were mic’d because Teresa knew that you used to work with Melissa. Vrohidis: No. I did not know Teresa at all. Teresa knew nothing about this. When she was at the salon getting her hair done, I introduced myself to her and Kim D was there. I said hello and told her, you know I know your sister in law. She used to work for me. And she was very shocked. I never met the girl before in my life. That was my first time.
AllAboutTRH: What did she respond back to you when you told her Melissa danced at lookers? How did she react? Vrohidis: I don’t want to say too much but she was very defensive of Melissa and said, “Listen don’t talk about my family like that.” She didn’t like the fact that I mentioned that Melissa and I worked together. I apologized to her repeatedly and told her that I had no idea she didn’t know. You know, I would assume she would know this about her sister-in-law. But you’ll see what happens when it airs.
AllAboutTRH: So she didn’t dance for years? Vrohidis: No. It wasn’t even for a year. I don’t know what she did before that nor do I know what she did after that… My friends from ‘Lookers’ did contact me but there also have been people that I have spoken to who claim Melissa tried contacting people from ‘Lookers’ to tell them to say she was only a bartender, not a dancer.
Vrohidis: I wasn’t out to hurt anyone. I just met the girl (Teresa) at the salon and said to her, I know your sister in law. I didn’t know anything was going to happen. I wasn’t trying to be malicious or hurt anyone. That’s not my intention and I’m just not that kind of person. Vrohidis: Dancing is not a bad thing so I don’t know why she is denying it. A lot of girls I know that danced have made such a name for themselves. I know dancers who have become nurses and someone who is a lawyer right now. I’m glad to see Melissa do something good for herself… She’s going to keep denying it because she’s already denied it so many times. But do a lot of people know? Absolutely. Of course they know.
This is all the more interesting as the manager of the club, Larry Guarino, who reportedly worked under GM Angelo, came out last month stating Melissa was only a bartender. Was Larry lying to protect Melissa or simply telling the truth? The mystery continues…
As for Melissa, she remains adamant she was never a stripper. After this interview came out, she tweeted: “Btw, I feel for him, I hear he has a major drug problem… Don’t wish it on anyone..” She later deleted that tweet citing it wasn’t right to out someone’s drug problem. If Melissa was a past stripper, she would be in good company as former RHONJ starDanielle Staubhas admitted to her past as a stripper, whileJacqueline Lauritais also rumored to have been a past stripper in Las Vegas.
