Apollo Nida

Apollo Nida White Car

Just in time for Real Housewives of Atlanta to wrap filming, Apollo Nida will be heading to prison!  On September 10th at noon Apollo is scheduled to report to prison to FMC Lexington Prison in Lexington, Kentucky.

Apollo will serve an 8 year sentence for various financial frauds and also owes about $1.9 million dollars in restitution. His wife Phaedra Parks was not at his sentencing and the couple is reportedly on the brink of divorce, although neither has filed. In fact Apollo himself admitted that he does not think his marriage will be in tact following his prison sentence. “I doubt [that my marriage will survive this]. My wife didn’t even fu**ing show up for my sentencing. I’m still kind of salty about that,” he confessed in an interview last month.

Phaedra Parks

Phaedra Parks has been radio silent on Instagram and Twitter as of late. After her husband, Apollo Nida was indicted on fraud charges and sentenced to 8 years in prison and ordered to pay back the $1.9 million, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star took a much needed break from social media.

Not sure if Phaedra took the time to work on her marriage, or prepare for a break-up, but one thing is for sure. When Phaedra returned to Twitter she came back with a bang and let the cat out of the bag when it comes to the premiere date for our favorite Southern Housewives.

NeNe Leakes at the 2014 Bravo Upfronts

NeNe Leakes is a Real Housewives of Atlanta institution. And she is the only original Housewife from Bravo’s most popular franchise.

Last season things were rough for NeNe, who battled with Kenya Moore and lost her friendship to Cynthia Bailey. Still NeNe reveals that despite the negativity she’s returning to the show to use it for the amazing opportunities it presents. And she’s also giving an inside scoop on the inner workings of the show, the cast relationships, and whether or not Phaedra Parks will be back!

“Every single season, somehow people think I’m not coming back. Somehow, I’m the only one who people ask, ‘Is she coming back or not?’ But I think that people don’t understand it’s not really our choice like that,” NeNe explains. “When I signed on for season 1, I signed on for a number of seasons. We’re like actors, we sign for a number of seasons and they’re either going to pick you up at the end of the season or drop you, unless you finish out your contract. So I have obligations. It’s not like I can just walk away from something like it’s just that easy, it’s really not.”

Oh my… Real Housewives of Atlanta is turning into the new Real Housewives of New Jersey. Meaning what is happening behind-the-scenes is far more juicy than what’s happening on camera!

With Apollo Nida heading to prison, it seems he and Phaedra Parks are getting divorced. Rumors have cropped up that the couple is living apart and Apollo hasn’t been seen at their home in months. RHOA producers are filming Apollo until he relocates to the Big House, but he and Phaedra are barely interacting – in fact a previous report spotted them only coming together for their sons and having a terse conversation!

Now comes a new report that states Phaedra is refusing to film with Apollo – and even skipped a recent RHOA event to avoid him. This tea is piping hot and sweet like molasses so settle in! It’s been rumored that Phaedra is ‘taking a break’ from filming this season as she sorts out her affairs, but that’s not true – what Phaedra is actually breaking from is putting her marriage and drama with her soon-to-be-ex-husband on TV.

Phaedra Apollo RHOA Mexico Cheating

Apollo Nida was giving yet another interview – this time to Be100 – and, as always, didn’t hold anything back.  The Real Housewives of Atlanta star drops a few shocking drops of tea.  His restitution initially started at $14 million.  He doesn’t think his marriage to Phaedra Parks will survive.  And he says there were others involved in the fraud dealings, but he took the brunt of the fall.

When asked how the sentencing has affected his family life, Apollo says “It’s hell. Hell on wheels. I’ve asked god to forgive me.  I’ve forgiven myself.  I had to move on.  From there I just had to bite down, I was going through so much.  It doesn’t make you less of a man to cry and shed tears. I’ve shed tears. I’m just upset at how I was raised and to possibly be taking my son through the same thing. But by the grace of God he’s still young and we have many years ahead of us. I just can’t make those same mistakes. It’s all on me.”

He continues, “a lot of people could be held accountable, but at the end of the day, it’s over with now. We’ll pay back the $1.9 million and keep going.  By the grace of God I was able to get that down. It [restitution] was $14 million.”

It’s no secret that the entire Real Housewives of Atlanta cast is not only back, but they’ve already started filming for the seventh season.

It’s also no secret that Phaedra Parks marriage to Apollo Nida is, shall we say, on the rocks! While Apollo was getting sentenced for federal financial fraud and looking forward to 8 years in prison plus repaying $1.9 million in restitution, Phaedra was on vacation with Kandi Burruss

Despite the fractures in the marriage, including that Phaedra and Apollo are practicing for prison living apart, the two were spotted filming a scene with their two sons Ayden and Dylan

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker Presents:

The verdict is in for Apollo Nida’s restitution amount in his bank fraud case and it’s staggering (but probably less he deserves).  The Real Housewives of Atlanta star owes his victims a total of $1.9 million and, as we reported earlier, was sentenced to eight years in prison

The order was entered this week and a breakdown reveals that Apollo’s largest amounts will go to JP Morgan Chase Bank (828,000), Campus USA Credit Union (277,000), and UP2Drive BMW Bank (100,000).

“Based on the consent motion of the parties and the court’s review of the record in this matter, the court directs defendant Apollo E. Nida to pay restitution to the Clerk of Court I the total amount of $1,948.214.85. This amount is due and payable immediately.  Restitution is payable jointly and severally with the restitution order to be entered in United States v. Gayla O’Neal St. Julien, 1:13-CR-00403-CAP.”

Sister 2 Sister Ladies Night

Some Real Housewives of Atlanta fans can’t get enough details and info on Apollo Nida’s fraud case and prison sentence.  For those people/fans, we now have the court documents that spell out the terms of Apollo’s guilty plea and the probation highlights, too.

Apollo pled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud – all other charges were dismissed.  Apollo was sentenced to 96 months in prison, but he may get out early if he attends a drug rehabilitation program during his stint in the big house.

According to court docs filed last week, Apollo will be on supervision for five years after he’s released.  The terms of his supervision are pretty standard, with community service hours to be served, no hanging out with other felons, etc.   Apollo also can’t open any new credit cards or lines of credit without approval and more.

Also worth noting is that Apollo will pay restitution.  The amount will be decided at a later date, but the court waives the cost of his incarceration and no fine has to be paid.
