Kate Gosselin appeared on Bethenny Frankel's talk show today. Bethenny asked Kate point blank how she spent her Jon & Kate Plus 8 earnings. Kate turned the conversation around – poor little divorced me – and said a few things about co-parenting that Bethenny really needs to apply to her own life.
First – the money! Where did it all go? Bethenny pointed out that Kate made a ton of money during Jon & Kate Plus 8's wildly successful run. Typical Kate hemmed and hawed a bit but ultimately agreed and said it was a blessing.
Bethenny continued, "You said publicly you kind of need to support your kids. You need money to support your kids. So I think people want to know where the money went, where the money is."
Kate answered, "The majority of what we made, I personally took and put into a college fund for the kids because they will go to college. So I use coupons and we don't wear top brands. Those things, to me, really aren't overly important, but college, school, and the house where they live is important.
Bethenny quizzed Kathy about her motivation behind joining the show.
Bethenny: How are you finding a balance with the fact that your entire family is on television and it turned out so differently. You probably thought it was a fun thing when you started and now you are in this web.
Kathy: Well that's what is hard because you don't know what's going to come up and you don't know what everybody else is thinking but at the end of the day my husband and I decided that we are going to do this. Our foundation has always been solid and what happens in our home and behind our doors when we close the door that is going to remain solid. Everything else, is secondary.
Bethenny vented, "Bloggers who have no idea what they are talking about are writing that I have a new boyfriend named Botox, who has really botched me up. Folks I am here every day, 57th and 11th where the pink awning is, as long as they'll let me do a show I'm here, if you want to come here, you can ask."
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here's a roundup of some of our favorite photos from the Twitterverse this week! Enjoy!
Bethenny and Brandi chat about TV friendships versus "real" friendships. They agree that many of their friendships from the Housewives shows are solely based on the show itself.
Bethenny: These are friendships that are forged, they are real, but it's because you are on television. Brandi: In other words you probably never would have met them before or hung out with them before. Bethenny: Lisa Vanderpump would never be friends with you unless you met on television.
Bethenny dives right in, asking Melissa what the whole "treat your man like a king theory" means to her. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star says, "If you treat your man like the king, you will be his queen. If he's happy, if he's satisfied, he feels like he's got everything he needs. It's not just about happy in the bedroom, it's about respect, honesty, treating him like he runs the show but yet I'm really runnin' the show."
She continues, "It's about loyalty, it's about complimenting him, he compliments me back."
Bethenny Frankel is aware that being a self-described self-help guru does not make you a psychiatrist, right? Oh the delusional never cease to amaze me!
Telling New York Family that giving advice is "like a responsibility," Faux-prah says her dream talk show guest is Amanda Bynes. And why? Cause Bethenny believes she can help Amanda get her wig on straight!
"Amanda Bynes, who is going through something. I know that she would feel safe with me," Bethenny enthused.
