Everyone starts a new year with good intentions, right? Even reality stars! While I'm sure they all have a bevy of things they'd like to improve upon (one would hope!) we thought we'd give them a little help in that department. Below are some of the New Year's Resolutions we wish some of our favorite reality stars would make.
Kim Kardashian: 'Please let my mom leave me alone – I resolve to try and say no to her and stop putting all my embarrassing and indecent moments on TV. I really don't want to have to pull a baby out of my vagina on Keeping Up With The Kardashians like Kourtney did. Does being pregnant mean my child has already sold its soul to E!? I hope not. And I resolve to let being pregnant get more media coverage than that icky divorce. Hopefully my next TV wedding will be less of a mess.'
We really, really hope ol' Kimmie Kakes embraces the notion of privacy. Especially less nudie pics on Twitter and less revealing clothing. We've already seen it all, anyway. #sextape #playboy
If you had told me when Bethenny Frankeldecided to marry Jason Hoppy just in time for her to get a spin-off, that those crazy kids weren't going to go the distance, I would have laughed in your face. When I watched said spin-off's spin-off Bethenny Ever After and saw how the couple treated one another, I thought, how cute…they are playing to the cameras. If I had a dollar for every time a divorce rumor surfaced that Bethenny promptly squashed, I'd have a lot of money. Color me shocked that this two year marriage didn't last!
Forgive my sarcasm. They are no doubt going through a very hard time, and they have to do it in the public eye. I feel badly for both of them, because I do think they were in love. I also think that Bethenny wanted a child, and Jason got tired of playing second fiddle to her career. I won't play arm chair psychiatrist, but everybody loses in this divorce.
Those closest to the couple think that Bethenny and Jason will keep the divorce civil and focus on daughter Bryn. None of their friends expect any sort of custody battle.
After longtime speculation that Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy wouldn't make it through the third year of marriage following a rocky and difficult second year featured on Bethenny Ever After, Bethenny finally announced the couple was separating.
The shocking part of the announcement was the timing! Bethennyrevealed the split two days before Christmas.
Bethenny has been coy about her relationship with Jason for months, even skirting the issue on a recent WWHL appearance. Multiple reports emerged that the couple broke up around Thanksgiving when they spent the holiday separately. Jason has been conspicuously absent from photos and Bethenny's twitter in recent months as well.
Many wonder why Bethenny waited so long to reveal that her marriage was over – and just why she timed it so close to the holidays? While I suspected it was so the news would get less attention in the wake of holiday related events, according to RadarOnline Bethenny just couldn't keep their separation a secret from friends and family any longer! She really expects us to believe their friends and family weren't aware they haven't been together for over a month? Ok then…
"Jason wanted to wait till after the holidays were over but Bethenny insisted that she could not carry on the charade of pretending to be a happy couple any longer, especially not in front of their closest friends and family," the source explains. "Basically, in the end Bethenny decided, no more secrets and lies – let's get it out in the open, for better or for worse."
Bethenny released a statement this afternoon to confirm the break up news.
"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family. We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."
Bethenny also took to Twitter to express her sadness.
Bethenny and Jason have been together since 2008 and have one child together, daughter Bryn Hoppy, 2.
