Ramona Singer wants it known yes, she did by happenstance accidentally commandeer Bethenny Frankel‘s dress, but it was hardly a designer item worth thousands and it was hardly intentional!
Describing how she ended up with Bethenny’s dress, the Real Housewives Of New York star insists it was actually given to her by a production staffer and she never even wore it on the talk show. “Do these ladies have nothing better to talk about than a dress? Talk about ‘telephone,'” complains Ramona. “I didn’t take the dress, and I never put the dress on, but it was graciously given to me by one of the line producers at the end of co-hosting a segment with Bethenny.”
“The dress was not a Herve Leger seven-figure dress. It was a Halston, a three-figure dress,” Ramona continues. “It did not fall out of my car, but it was in my car that I share with Mario, and I didn’t know where it ended up ’til later (and on my body with Avery in an Instagram shot and cover photo on iPhone. Must say I love that dress.)”
Also, let’s get one thing clear – Bethenny didn’t want to host brunch to show off her Hamptons home (and really how could she being homeless and all) she wanted to show off her Skinnygirl collection.
It all begins at Luann de Lesseps‘ cozy Hamptons abode, the girls are clustered around the living room, drinking coffee and gossiping as real girlfriends do, also leisurely braiding Carole Cradziwill‘s toe hair (EWWW – isn’t that what Cindy Barshop is for – don’t you get the Real Housewives Federation Association discount on all waxations from here until the end of time – if you can manage to find your way out to Quogue.).
Carole admits to Access Hollywood that she’s still dating Adam, the chef she met at Luann de Lesseps‘ Hamptons house on last week’s show! Carole insists she doesn’t generally date younger men but Adam is an exception, although one she’s really enjoying.
“Its nice to be with someone who hasn’t been through like 10 really bad relationships, or divorce, or like a crazy girl… there’s something kind of new and fresh,” Carole says of her relationship with Adam, whom she reveals is “almost 30.”
There are bad lawyers and there are good lawyers. And then there are Jason Hoppy& Bethenny Frankel’slawyers, who at this point must be billionaires from handling the multi-year Divorce From Hell the couple is battling out in the press, among other places. Like reality TV.
According to pagesix.com, Jason’s legal team is firing back at accusations that Jason will be seeking more child/spousal support from Bethenny in the divorce settlement. He’s already receiving 10K per month, but some reports have surfaced that he wants more. Not so, say his lawyers. “The recent stories . . . are inaccurate and false, seemingly planted by misguided people who wrongly believe that they are furthering Ms. Frankel’s newly minted effort to cast herself as a victim, like when she recently called herself ‘homeless’ on national TV. Mr. Hoppy continues to work hard to protect his daughter from what appears to be her mother’s inability or unwillingness to put a clamp on uninvited media attention,” commented Jason’s attorney, Bernard Clair.
I don’t know about you, but I could watch a GIF of Luann de Lesseps‘ saying “Everybody be cool…don’t be all…uncool” on constant rotation right now on my TV and it wouldn’t get old. This season’s Housewives MVP for “Best Transformation From Frigid Condescending Countess to Cool Chick I’d Love to Hang Out With in the Hamptons” goes to: LUANN!
Luann starts out her Real Housewives of New YorkBravo blog this week by claiming, “This is one of my favorite episodes this season.” Citing the origins of her estate sale idea, Luann tells us that the new owners planned on building a “mega mansion” on the property and were going to tear her old house down. “So I figured: Why not sell it all? And voila! Banisters, flooring, kitchen, and bathroom fixtures…all found their way to new happy homes! It was a really great way for me to move on to the next chapter of my life, and I am loving this chapter of my life!” says Luann. She adds, “Of course, it was a little weird having people sift through my stuff, but decluttering and letting go of things I’d been holding onto for years was so freeing.”
Whoa! Nick Lachey has a job? Okay, back to the subject at hand: Real Housewives of New York’sBethenny Frankel was interviewed by Nick Lachey on VH1’s Morning Buzz Live show this week. He describes her “triumphant return!” to RHONY, citing a ratings spike (Lachey sources are still out on what constitutes a “spike”) due to her presence on the cast this season. “I’m humbled, I’m flattered,” said Bethenny. She also claims Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and Luann de Lesseps ALL asked her (independently) to come back on the show, so it makes her happy to feel welcomed back with open arms now that she, ah, humbly acquiesced.
Bethenny feels like the dynamic has changed this season because some of them have been together so long and are now going through some intense life circumstances (#homelesspeopleproblemsyo!). “It’s really funny,” says Bethenny, “I see things from a different perspective now. There’s something about it that’s just completely ridiculous, tragic, and hilarious.” Lachey comments, “That’s why we watch!”
In her Bravo blog, new gal Dorinda Medley gives us her take on this season’s start of the Real Housewives on New York, and she keeps her cheese on her cracker and her napkin in her lap for now. (But wouldn’t it be incredible to see her let loose at some point? Please let that happen at a future Sonja Morgan burlesque circus side show!) Dorinda starts her blog by announcing her Berkshires allegiance: “As you may or may not know, I am not a Hamptons girl; I am #TeamBerkshires. But hey, this could be fun too, right?”
As close as Dorinda and Ramona Singer have been over the years, she’d never been to Ramona’s Hamptons home. Hmm. Fishy? Displacing Sonja Morgan in the guest suite was a first-time perk! “Meeting Lady Morgan was a nice little adventure, too. She’s so beautiful. And I can totally see why Ramona gets flustered with her and her tendency to monopolize a conversation. But Sonja is a trip. I really like her,” Dorinda kindly says…because she doesn’t want to be labeled the “Bethenny” of the group yet.
