She’s not a Jedi Master, but she does play one on TV. Eileen Davidsoncalmly and eloquently cuts right through the BS in nearly every Real Housewives of Beverly Hills interview she does, and she’s doing the same in her Bravo blog this week. After last night’s RHOBH Reunion, Part 1, Eileen quips that she had concerns from the beginning about being placed on the crazy couch with Brandi Glanville, Kim Richards, and probably-ready-to-leave-because-she’s-ill Yolanda Foster.
“My first RHOBH reunion started off with a surprise, when I walk onto set and I’m told to sit next to Kim. I thought about running, but then I reconsidered. Ha!” says Eileen. After fielding a few softball questions about her hubby Vince, Eileen says things got more interesting, and more sad – when it came to Kyle Richardsrelationship with her sister, Kim. Eileen comments, “I’m sad that Kim and Kyle aren’t speaking. This is a big, messy, and complicated situation. Maybe the time apart will be good for them? I’m hoping so.”
I don’t want to sound like I’m bullying Brandi, but here’s the thing: if she would just own maybe a smidgen of her behavior or actions (and apologize without conditions) I think it would go a long way in everyone believing that she has a good heart, is good a mother, and is a person who at least on occasion behaves like an adult. Instead Brandi resorts to accusing Lisa Vanderpump(who can’t even be bothered to put out for Ken more than twice a year) of being desperate for the 23-year-old manwand of her son’s childhood bestie. This is because LVP called Brandi out for being too drunk too f–k her Amsterdam-ian fling (according to Andre, who unfortunately was not Skyped during the reunion!)
Lisa Rinna is having trouble getting the hang of this whole reality star thing – most notably the black hole of twitter and how nothing is ever truly erased from twitter! After tweeting (and deleting) a diatribe accusing Kim Richards of being “too inebriated” to write her Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills blog, Lisa took heat from viewers. Defending herself, Lisa admitted it was a mistake to tweet (and delete) but haven’t we all done it? She also said it was all worth it to help Kim, but Brandi Glanville is still shouting ‘hypocrisy’ from the rooftops of her Valley rental!
Lisa asked, “Raise your hand if you’ve tweeted and deleted. Come on be honest.” Then she wondered, “Raise your hand if you’ve tweeted buzzed or drunk. Raise your hand if you have tweeted the word that rhymes with Runt. Raise your hand if you’ve tweeted something nasty about anyone. I bet even @oprah has tweeted and deleted!!!” Lisa also thinks both the Pope and Obama have had a tweet/delete moment.
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their lives with us. And we would not have it any other way. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite snapshots and selfies from this week. Enjoy.
“I think it’s great that Bethenny came back,” the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star explained on WWHL’s After Show. “It’s hard when you keep changing the recipe, and I’m curious – I wanna know what everyone’s doing from when I started to watch the show.”
About season five, Lisa shared, “And there we have it. So this season I felt was a little more illustrative of exactly who these complex characters are. Some weathered the storm with a modicum of regretful actions and others offered up a complete view into the depths of their inner being. Angry accusations, shrouded with deflection, were the actions of some incompetent of dealing with truths that should be confronted.”
Hey y’all – wanna talk about “semantics” with Brandi Glanville? She probably can’t define that word, but I bet the ghostwriter who allegedly writes her blogs can! Now that Brandi can no longer blame Lisa Vanderpump for everything that’s wrong in her life, she’s switched her vitriolic focus to Lisa Rinna and it’s all because Brandi believes Lisa intentionally tried to sabotage her friendship with Kim Richards by claiming Brandi said Kim needed an intervention.
Now all of us who watch Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills know what happened in that fateful conversation between Brandi and Lisa: Brandi both heavily implied and directly stated Kim was not OK and needed help. Brandi again reiterated those statements to her sober coach friend, Jen. There were also comments about pain patches and nebulous statements about what Kim is “doing.”
Lisa interpreted that to mean Kim needed their help, and Brandi wanted her assistance in providing that help. Sure the word “intervention” was never explicitly said by Brandi (this is the semantics part she fails to grasp), but when Lipsa said, “Not like an intervention?” Brandi didn’t reply, “Oh no Kim doesn’t need that! She just needs friends inviting her out to the movies and doing other sober fun things to get her out of the house and feeling more positive!” No, Brandi said, “Maybe you should do an intervention with all of us.” At worst, Lipsa is guilty of misinterpretation and getting overly involved.
