While the past two weeks has focused on the Kellamity known Kelly Bensimon, in tonight’s episode, Jill Zarin appears eager and ready to snatch the spotlight back from Kelly!
After Kelly’s bizarre “nervous breakthrough” (her words) last week, she decides to leave the vacation early much to the joy of the other housewives, who are likely relieved they no longer have to sleep with one eye open.
Now relaxed, Alex and Sonja throw Ramona and Bethenny a surprise bridal shower where much hilarity ensues! But back in NYC, Kelly decides to fill Jill, LuAnn and Jennifer Gilbert in on her emotional trip – will they see her side?
And finally, Jill decides to follow through with her self serving plan to steal the spotlight surprise the group on the trip, how will each of the ladies react? We’ll find out tonight at 10/9c on Bravo.
In the meantime, below is a preview clip of Kelly telling her distorted version of what happened on the trip to Jill, LuAnn and Jennifer –
It’s been days since the infamous meltdown of Kelly Bensimonon the Real Housewives of New York City, and interestingly enough, all the housewives who went on the November yacht trip continue to echo the same sentiment: What we saw on TV was actually tame in comparison to what really took place in real life.
The latest housewife to speak out is Alex McCord. “It was much more [crazy] in real life,” says Alex to Usmagazine. “Much more crazy!” According to Alex, the editing actually made Kelly look “better.”
“I remember the first time that Kelly mentioned that she thought I was channeling the devil. It was in the middle of the soup course!” Alex tells Us. “That wasn’t the first time that had happened. Throughout the trip, it just came out of the blue.”
And although Alex, Sonja Morgan, Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer initially found Kelly’s outbursts amusing, they quickly realized her tantrums were no laughing matter.
“Sonja was the one who pegged it at one point, saying, ‘Wow. We’re dealing with someone who is not being rational. We have to stop,'” explains Alex. “There was definitely a moment when we all clicked into realizing we had to stop picking part all the insane things being said because there’s a reason beyond anyone’s control, beyond her control.”
And in other NYC Housewives news, the reunion show is being filmed today and according to a Life&Style report, Jill and Bethenny will be seeing each other today for the first time in months. And though Bravo has yet to announce the official air date, some of the housewives tweeted about the big day this morning.
Ramona tweeted her outfit for the day and also revealed that she would rather be a fly on the wall than participate in the all day taping (yes the reunion tapings take an entire day), while Kelly also tweeted her outfit for the show, and well you will just have to see what Kelly decided to wear.
Off topic, is it wrong that I kinda sorta want to see the unedited footage of Kelly from the yacht trip?
UPDATE: Turns out Kelly actually wore a white dress for the reunion show, a picture of that is below. Also here’s what Andy Cohen tweeted about the reunion show –
“@BravoAndy: Wrap Alert: THE. MOST. ANTICIPATED. REUNION. IS. ALSO. THE. MOST. DRAMATIC. IN. HOUSEWIVES. HISTORY.”
To which Simon replied to Andy, “I am here & agree.” Simon also revealed filming took over 9 hours.
UPDATE #2 – More photos from the reunion have been added.

Meanwhile,Chris Manzo scores big when he gets an inside look into his dream business, and wife Jacqueline gets an inside look into her husband’s secret safe. And as the Brownstone prepares for a big night, Danielle gets an invitation she can’t refuse, but makes sure to get “back-up” from an old friend before she RSVPs. Will she cause a dangerous stir at the party? Find out tonight at 10/9c.
And in other news, Teresa’s new cooking book – Skinny Italian, actually made the New York’s best seller list. The book teaches us all how to enjoy Italian food and look great while eating it. Congrats to Teresa!

“Best episode ever & worst episode too in a way.” – Simon Van Kempen.
Those are two powerful quotes. Last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York City was absolutely the best and the worst. The Hills is not real, Spencer Pratt’s alleged meltdown on the Hills is not real. What you watched on the Real Housewives of NYC last night was real, very real. Too real perhaps.
What I and other millions of viewers watched was a complete and total mental breakdown from what I will assume is a very mentally ill person. I don’t even know how to proceed with this recap. Last week’s episode was more of a Kelly Bensimon is coo coo crazy kinda thing, but somewhere along last night’s episode, Kelly being crazy took a dark turn into Kelly being mentally ill, and something about that is quite troubling.
And what’s worse than the madness we all just watched on television? Well according to Bethenny, Ramona and Alex. What was shown on TV was actually very tame in comparison to what actually took place that night. “Truth be told, what aired was very tame compared to what actually happened. I think that to air the full scope of it would terrify the viewers. We were truly terrified ourselves,” blogged Bethenny. Must say I can’t imagine kelly possibly being worse than what we just watched.
So why don’t I have any sympathy for Kelly, someone who I believe might be mentally ill, something not of her doing? Well I’m not quite sure. For one, I can’t relate to this woman in any way, shape, or form. She acts like a robot and seems to have the IQ of an 8 year old. I can’t relate and comprehend to the the way she acts or the moronic things she says. And reason number #2 why I can’t seem to muster up any sympathy is because she continued to be the aggressor and attacker in last night’s episode. She also seems to have no remorse for her insane behavior and continues to blame others. She blames Bethenny and Bravo for how she came across. She also continues to attack Bethenny, even accusing her of exploiting her father’s death for ratings. It’s funny that Kelly says she is scared of Bethenny, when in reality Bethenny should be the scared party. Kelly seems to have an unhealthy obsession with Bethenny and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Kelly holds Bethenny responsible for 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, her divorce, etc
Going into this vacation from hell, one would think the women would pick on Kelly and treat her badly. The irony turned out to be that these women, who are usually drama prone, seemed to genuinely want a drama free vacation, despite Kelly’s constant attempts to bring the drama. Kelly was the one who picked on the women from the get go, and made certain to attack every single one of them. The women at every single attempt tried to calm her down, be nice to her, and tried to have a good time. But Kelly would not stop, and was very combative and defensive.
Some things to point out in this episode, Kelly, while on the phone with Jill, said Bethenny’s gift bag to her was impersonal. And in case you’re wondering, this is the same gift bag with her initials on it. Evidently the lunatic in Kelly can’t grasp that this was an attempt by Bethenny to make amends. Kelly, who has breast implants, bad wonky ones at that, then goes on to make fun of Bethenny’s “Fake D tits,” thus giving us our first pot meet kettle moment.
And then it’s breakfast time and Kelly decides to bring a complaints pad to the ladies telling them to write down their complaints like they do in the fourth grade. Huh what? Kelly has offered to take photos of the ladies, but Bethenny decides to skip out on the crazy show. During the photo shoot, Kelly creepily tells Alex to channel her son Johan while trying to take sexy bikini pictures.
Moving on to the dinner from hell. Kelly who is already channeling a nut with her uncombed hair, decides to talk on her cell phone during dinner in front of the ladies, which rubs Ramona the wrong way. Once again, the ladies attempt to make nice with Kelly, who continues to take jabs and once again make mention of Bethenny being or not being a chef. Kelly then mentions in her interview that Bethenny is always on defense and is psychotic. And thanks to the psych class I took sophomore year in college, I can confidently proclaim this is what is known as “Projection.”
First things first, how amazing is the above photo of Kelly Bensimon? It’s like she’s saying lock me up and take me away to the nut house! Just kidding, but what’s really sad is that the phrase”Kelly Bensimon Crazy” was one of the biggest searches on the web this past week.
So how does Kelly feel about being labeled “crazy?” Well Kelly had the following to say to E! News, “Enjoy it,” she said with a manic laugh. “Have fun with it because that’s going to make my name bigger and bigger and give me a bigger platform to be charitable.” Yes because in Kelly lala cartwheel land, being labeled as crazy is a good thing and will help her become more charitable. Got it.
Moving on to tonight’s episode. We get to see the tension between Bethenny and Kelly reach an all-time high, as the two hash it out over a no-holds-barred dinner! Kelly calls Jill to confide about her fight with Bethenny. Jill, who is itching to patch things up with her once-BFF Bethenny, informs her underdog LuAnn of her plans to fly down and “surprise” the group. LuAnn, who ofcourse wants to keep Jill all to herself tries to convince her not to go. Will Jill take LuAnn’s advice and stay put? We’ll find tonight.
A video preview is below. Bethenny tries to make amends with Kelly by giving her a gift bag with her name on it. Nutty Kelly freaks out and thinks Bethenny is trying to “kill” her. Watch the madness below –
The 39 year-old reality star, who is married to Jason Hoppy, delivered her baby girl Bryn two weeks ago, about a month early from her due date. Bryn Casey Hoppy, who was born via c-section, weighed a tiny 4 lbs. 12 oz.
The baby is said to have spent four days in the hospital before coming home, healthy and happy. Bryn is named after Jason’s older brother Bryan, who died in a car accident 19 years ago.
It’s miraculous,” says Bethenny. “I’d barely even held a baby before. I didn’t have that maternal instinct… until now.”
“We didn’t know anything about kids,” continued Bethenny. “Now we can’t believe we could have possible missed this.”
You can read more about Bethenny and her new baby in this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine. Below are more photos of Baby Brynn via PEOPLE. YOU CAN CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO MAKE IT BIGGER –
Must say after three weeks of watching the new season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I am simply not impressed. Compared to the Real Housewives of NYC, the show seems to be falling flat and the Danielle drama is getting very old. Will touch more on this later.
But on to the recap of last night’s episode. First we get a quick rehash of Jacqueline’s argument with her teenage daughter Ashley Holmes, who is now living on her own. Jacqueline is in a tough spot with parenting Ashley because Ashley is now an “adult” and no longer living under her roof. I can’t help but feel that had Jacqueline done a better job with parenting Ashley earlier on, things would be better between them now. Jacqueline herself has admitted to making parenting errors with Ashley. This also brings up a point that I feel strongly about which is that just because a kid turns 18, doesn’t really make them an adult and ready to be on their own. A girl like Ashley should still be living at home in my opinion. I’m guessing Jacqueline might be helping her financially in some shape or form. Perhaps cutting her off financially until she stops being rude would help her straighten up.
Moving on to Danielle who receives flowers from Jacqueline congratulating her daughter Christine on her modeling debut. You can see some modeling shots of Christine below. Jacqueline has stated in an earlier episode that her husband does not want her befriending Danielle, but for some reason Danielle is persistent on becoming BFFs with Jacqueline again and even decides to leave her a scolding message, accusing her of not being her own woman.
One thing I really want to touch on is Danielle’s parenting skills and why she insists on involving her innocent children in her drama and in adult issues. This started in the premiere episode when she took her kids along a car ride to stalk Caroline’s event. Her kids looked and acted embarrassed. And then last night, her youngest daughter, who once again looked mortified, asked to be excused as Danielle decided to call Jacqueline. And once again, Danielle decided to unload her adult drama onto her young daughter. Does this woman not have any friends? Involving her children in her drama is simply wrong and unnecessary. Poor kids. I’m really curious to know more about the man who decided to marry Danielle and make her the mother of his children. Danielle’s ex-husband’s name is Thomas Staub or Gerald Staub. If anyone knows anything about him or has a photo, please feel fee to email us at Realitytea@yahoo.com.
And how amazing was it last week when Christine Staub was photographed by Gilles Bensimon, the ex-husband of Kelly Bensimon of the NYC Housewives? I found that interesting for some reason considering Gilles has never made an appearance on the NYC Housewives. By the way the photos of Christine from the Daily Front Row magazine can be seen below.
Something else that robbed me the wrong way was a joke or non-joke Danielle made during an earlier episode about Christine being able to help her financially with her modeling career. Just wrong, wrong, and more wrong. Putting that kind of pressure on a 15 year-old girl is wrong and disgusting. There’s a good chance that Christine, despite being very gorgeous,, might not make it in the modeling world, so why even say that kind of thing? It’s become rather obvious that Danielle sees her daughters as meal tickets as she is also pushing her 12 year-old to get into the music industry, even calling her the next Miley Cyrus. Plus is it just me or does Danielle seem to be living vicariously through Christine’s new found career?
Tonight marks the all new 3rd episode of the second season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. In case you’re wondering, the above picture is from last year.
The drama rages on when Danielle accuses Jacqueline of not being her own woman and standing up to her family. Meanwhile, a very pregnant Teresa and a determined Danielle are ecstatic to see their daughters modeling in New York Fashion Week. But Danielle’s daughter Christine is not 100 percent prepared to walk down the runway.
You will have to tune in to see if a mishap unfolds and costs both Christine and Danielle a future in fashion. We will also be seeing Teresa’s husband, Joe, being mean to their then 8-year-old daughter Gia.
