Tonight is the finale of Bravo’sMiami Social. Above is a preview of what is to come. We get to see Maria go on a first date, Katrina wavers on whether or not to sign those pesky divorce papers, and the biggest shocker of all comes in the form of Hardy proposing to girlfriend, Trixia.
Katrina gives us a great quote – “If it’s taken you six years to figure out if they’re the one, they’re probably not the one.” Great foreshadowing there Trina.
Nene seems to believe her stripper past has no reflection on her presence as an “Atlanta socialite,” saying, “What difference does it make if I danced or not?” she asks. “Is the sun going to stop shining? Is my past taking food out of your mouth?”
Nene proceeds to explain her reasons for stripping, “[I stripped] for the sake of my son, and to restore my confidence in myself,” she explains. “My son was in private school, his father wasn’t chipping in for pull-ups or food, I had no job and no money coming in, the rent was past due, and the super told me and my roommate that our condo owner was about to put us out. It was about survival.”
The ex-stripper, who referred to herself as Silk during her dancing days as a twentysomething year old – admits that she liked the power that came with being a stripper. “I could make $500 off one guy just by turning him on.” These men “were obviously there to see what I had, and I quickly realized that those men weren’t there to make me feel bad about myself.”
Interestingly, it has always been said that Nene’s husband, Gregg Leakes, met her at a strip club while she was working. Fellow castmate, Kim Zolciak was also outed has being a past stripper by her former publicist. My favorite part of this story is that she stripped to restore confidence in herself – brings out the lols.
In not so shocking news, another Bravo housewife is now facing an eviction. TMZ reports Lynne Curtin of The Real Housewives of Orange County, along with her husband Frank Curtin, received a 3-day eviction notice from the owner of the Laguna Beach house where they live. And yes, their home is rented.
According to TMZ, Lynne could be evicted from her home if she doesn’t come up with more than $12,000 in the next three days.
The notice says the couple owes the home owner a $10,000 security deposit, $600 late fee and $1,763 in other expenses. The homeowner also claims the Curtins have been delinquent on their utilities, which have now been shut off.
It gets even better worse, as Bravo cameras were said to be rolling when the eviction notice was served. No word on whether or not this will be shown when the show returns this fall. Knowing Bravo, something tells me it will.
The alleged chokegate involving Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been making recent headlines. Kim filed a police report back in April, accusing Nene of choking her during an argument.
On Wednesday, NeNe claimed Kim was not an innocent victim in the alleged assault, in which Kim claims NeNe “choked her out.” NeNe appearing on Atlanta’s Q1000 radio station said of the fight. “Kim is trying to make it seem like, ‘I need an apology. I’m so hurt’.”
Kim is now admitting to OK! that she did “smack NeNe’s finger” — but insists she did not strike out first. Kim continues, “I was not pleased with the stuff that’s coming out her mouth, but as far as putting your hands on somebody, absolutely not. I didn’t touch her first.” Umm how old are these women again?
Adds Kim, “She put her hand in my face after she choked me the first time, and I smacked her finger out of my face.” This fight was allegedly taped for the show, so it’s safe to say we will be seeing it on Bravo in the near future.
In other news, Nene’s broke husband Gregg Leakes‘s legal records are making its rounds. According to a public search, Gregg has been involved in 17 legal cases in recent years. These cases range from non payment of child support , receiving stolen propery, to writing bad checks.
People with skeletons might want to think twice before choosing to appear on reality shows. Just a thought.
Tamra claims that this was a “business decision” after she and her husband lost $600,000 on the house.
However a reader the Register’s comments section had a different view on the issue, posting the following -
When a home goes to a short sale their credit is SHOT, the Barney’s will be lucky if anyone will even RENT to them! They’re deadbeats who obviously don’t pay their bills. A short sale is a last attempt before FORECLOSURE. I don’t know who they’re trying to fool with the custom home.
Banks don’t loan money on a new home if they haven’t paid for their old mortgage. The Barney’s are HIGH RISK and lenders are very careful now, this is BS. Three lates on a mortgage and banks won’t look at you for at least 2 years after the last late payment.
All very interesting. The show mentioned last season that Tamra’s husband, Simon Barney, lost quit his job with a Mercedes car dealership.
Despite a report by TMZ revealing that Lisa Wu Hartwell and husband Ed Hartwell had their home foreclosed, Lisa is now denying the foreclosure to People magazine. We were “not evicted, it was a short-sell. It was not a foreclosure,” says Lisa.
Lisa, 38, continues, “It was decision that we made and not one that was made for us. But we were not put out.” As for the TMZ report that the couple defaulted on their bank loan, she re-affirms that an attempt to restructure the loan “didn’t work out.” Lisa claims, “we chose to move, we were not evicted.”
It seems short-sell is what they’re calling foreclosures nowadays. I take it she “chose” to move after receiving notification of a foreclosure from her bank. Even her rep confirmed the foreclosure story yesterday. Plus TMZ has documents confirming the story.
Lisa however admits her family has moved into a new “downsized” home in a neighboring community due to the pressure of the recession. This clashes with the comment her rep made yesterday, saying the couple has moved into a new home sitting on 10 acres. Not sure how 10 acres is downsizing.
TELL US – ARE YOU BUYING LISA’S SPIN ON THIS STORY?
Michael Cohen dishes about Bravo’s Miami Social and his cast mates in an all new interview with RadarOnline. The entertainment and fashion writer talks about his on-going beef with Ariel, George and his insane girlfriend Lina, plus his thoughts on Katrina and Ben’s marriage. Below are some excerpts from his interview -
RADARONLINE.COM: Did you know the other cast members before you started filming?
Michael: I did. Katrina, I’ve known since 2003. I wrote her wedding story for In Touch Weekly. Isn’t that funny? She was on The Apprentice at the time so when she married Ben it was a big deal back then. I knew Maria from the gym, I knew of Ariel and I knew Hardy. I knew George because he’s good friends with my friend Joey. You know we all knew each other because just like any clique, it’s always a small circle.
RADARONLINE.COM: Did you always dislike Ariel?
Michael: It’s not that I didn’t like him—and it’s not that I liked him. First of all, the crazy thing to me in my mind is—and I’m not being a bitch, I’m just being real—you know when you work at places like Us and People, we really do get invited to the grade A events? You know what I mean? So we really do know the “Grade A” players, and I know who does what events. And, let’s call a spade a spade. Miami is no fashion capital. OK? It is not. I don’t even know if there are pattern makers that live in Miami. So when Ariel talks about these fashion events, I’m like, ‘What f***ing fashion events are you talking about?’ You know? So I started to dislike him because of that because I do not like bulls**t. That’s what I don’t like.
RADARONLINE.COM: Are Katrina and her husband really over?
Michael: Yeah, my prediction is that this is it. You know, Katrina is doing her thing. Their relationship has been going since they were kids. A lot of people say to her, ‘Are you sure this is what you want to do? Ben’s such a great guy.’ But it’s hard. We can’t judge that. Ben is a great guy—but not for her today. You know? And that’s basically what it comes down to.
RADARONLINE.COM: What can you tell us about this hot mess of a relationship between George and Lina?
Michael: Well, you know I am good friends with George and we’ve had many talks. And you know what? It’s not even about the sex, I have to be honest with you. I was like, ‘What keeps you guys together?’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t know, there’s something about her.’ She’s had a very tough life and he’s trying to be like Mother Teresa here and save her. He’s really caught up in it. I don’t know. He’s really a victim, if you ask me, of this whole thing. I get very upset and very disturbed watching it. It’s disturbing because she really is so crazy and not crazy in a funny way.
RADARONLINE.COM: What’s happening with George and Lina today?
Michael: The drama still goes on. Like Lina pulled a crazy one last night. Not on TV but in real life. She and George had another huge blow-up fight. And she’s in a cast. This is really life. I mean, this show is no-bullshit. This shit still goes on today. The same shit you saw is still freaking going on. It’s amazing.
RADARONLINE.COM: Why is she in a cast?
Michael: She got upset about something and she hit something. And now she sprained her wrist and she needs a cast. I don’t know—it’s so crazy.
In other news, came across an interview with George where he talks about his Tourette’s causing his facial tics. I never noticed him twitching, but others have.
We also reported some funny rumors in our previous post that people believed Lina Fidler might be some sort of escort. Well it turns out she actually has a legit job. I came across this website which lists her as being a Real Estate sales associate. It’s towards the bottom of the page. I’ve seen two other websites that list her name as being in real estate as well. Must say it’s never a good sign when people think you are an escort based on your own actions.
TMZ is reporting today that Lisa Hartwelland her husband, former Oakland Raiders linebacker Ed Hartwell, were booted from their multi-million dollar Georgia mansion last week — after the bank foreclosed on the place. The bank sold it shortly after.
Lisa’s rep does not deny the story. The rep claims the couple was in talks with the lender to restructure the loan because the home had lost value — but that failed. They originally bought the place for $2.9 mil back in 2007 but the bank only got $1.9 mil when they resold it this month.
The rep continues, “Ed and Lisa are fine. They have settled in their [new] home, that sits on 10 acres and they OWN it!”
