Are you ready for a new Housewives franchise? Well you should be as Bravo is now casting for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Evolution Media, the same company that produces the Orange County Housewives, will be producing this series as well.
I can only imagine the Beverly Hills housewives will be like Orange County on crack. I’m picturing more botox, plastic surgeries, sugar daddies, bigger boobs hair. And speaking of bigger hair, isn’t it time Bravo branches out to Texas? How great would it be to have a Real Housewives of Dallas series? Hope the Bravo execs are listening. We want TEXAS!
More casting information is below for the Beverly Hills Franchise -
Evolution Media/Bravo is looking for outgoing, exciting, strong, focused women who reside in and around the Beverly Hills area that want to share their lives. There must be something in the New Jersey water as Teresa Giudice is the latest housewife confirmed pregnant. People is reporting The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is 6 months pregnant. Her fellow housewife, Jacqueline Laurita, is also 8 months pregnant.
According to People, a Bravo rep confirmed this exclusively. Teresa is said to be about five and a half months along, and is “excited” about expanding her family.
Teresa is also said to be unsure about the sex of her baby, and “wants to keep it a secret until she delivers.” We’re guessing she’s hoping for a boy being that she currently has 3 daughters with her “juicy and delicious” husband.
Jon and Kate Plus 8‘s new season premiers May 25 on TLC. Recently, there have been several scandalous stories surrounding the couple’s relationship. All these controversies have led people to believe and think that viewers may stop watching the show. From experience, drama such as this seems to increase ratings so I guess time will be the judge.
Both Jon and Kate have been married for ten years now, and both speak to the camera separately unlike previous seasons when they gave their testimonials as a couple (during the happier times).
According to US weekly, Jon now lives above the garage of their million dollar home and was in an affair with a 23 year old. Several reports have reported that Kate is very difficult to please. Over the last 3 months, she has fired about 40 staff members, and maybe having an affair with her bodyguard. What’s sad is no one seems to know how the kids are going to be affected.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered last week on Bravo to very high ratings. It was the highest ratings ever received for a premier episode of the Housewives franchise. So with all the fame must come some scrutiny right? The NY Post wrote a very interesting article about these housewives and their skeletons. Below is a basic summary -
JACQUELINE LAURITA, 38 – Franklin Lakes Confesses on the show’s Web site to once having been arrested for fighting.
TERESA GIUDICE, 36 – Montville Owes money to design firm, a fertility clinic and vacuum cleaner company. Delinquent debts include $15,000 for a decorative railing on the mansion’s grand staircase. North Hudson IVF, a fertility clinic in Englewood Cliffs, is seeking $11,276 from the Giudices, according to a civil claim filed in November.
DANIELLE STAUB, 46 – Wayne Has a $130,557 federal tax lien against her and her ex. Claims to have been a Ford model; agency has no record of her.
DINA MANZO, 37 – Franklin Lakes Runs a charity that claims to be a nonprofit but does not have IRS taxexempt status.
CAROLINE MANZO, 47, Franklin Lakes Dina’s oldest sister, married to Dina’s husband’s brother. Hubby’s father found shot to death in the trunk of a Lincoln Continental in 1983.
Another major rumor going around is the Dina and her husband are currently separated and are no longer together due to his alleged cheating ways.
Is Kelly Bensimon having regrets about doing the Real Housewives of New York? Well according to a new report, she is.
According to the Post, the 41 year old model, has been telling her friends she regrets she signed aboard in the first place. “She realizes it was a mistake,” a friend of Bensimon says. “It has ruined her socially. She knows how bad she came off.” This sounds about right as the show did not show Kelly is a positive light at all. She definitely came off as being shallow, delusion, self absorbed, and perhaps a little “crazy,” I mean really, who runs in the traffic?
Another insider claims, “They’re definitely going to need some new blood for the next season because these women are all starting to hate another.”
The other housewives have also been very vocal in regards to Kelly’s part of the show. Jill Zarin feels she should quit the show as it as ruined her, while Ramona states she did not enjoy filming with her, “there’s something missing. You know what I’m saying? I’d rather film with Alex and Simon. I get more spice out of Simon and Alex.”
Kelly is however denying these claims through her spokesperson saying, “I think that’s laughable. I had a fabulous experience on the show. My friends love me and had a ball watching me.”
Every body’s favorite mean girl, Tamra Barney is at it again. The Real Housewives of OC’s star spoke to RadarOnline and had nothing nice to say about Gretchen Rossi.
Tamra slammed Gretchen’s claims of having a stalker and once again questions her moral character. “I was subpoenaed as a witness in a hearing involving…a restraining order she filed against her ex-boyfriend, Jay Photoglou,” Barney said. Gretchen had previously claimed Photoglou threatened the lives of she and her dogs, former Housewives cast member Slade Smiley, and vandalized her CA home.
Gretchen however failed to appear in court to address charges which led to them being dropped.
“I showed up in court only to find out the charges were dismissed after waiting 30 minutes. I find it strange for Gretchen, whom allegedly feared for her life because of this ‘stalker,’ wouldn’t even appear in Court for her hearing,” said Barney. “This speaks volumes about her character.” And what does your lame attempt at getting another woman “naked wasted” say about your character?
Tamra also goes on to claim Gretchen and her new boyfriend Slade Smiley drunk dialed her. ““A few weeks ago, [Rossi] and [Smiley] drunk-dialed me. Her conversation started out guarded with ‘why don’t you like me?’ She wanted to make amends, but she didn’t appear too sincere,” says Tamra.
Tamra goes on to insist she participated in the hearing in the spirit of honesty, and that Photoglou was “apologetic” for the waste of her time in court. Right Tamara.
Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered last night and boy is this bound to be an interesting series. What were your thoughts on the show’s premier?
Sisters, Caroline Manzo and Dina Manzo gave an interview to People talking about their experience in doing the show. Below are some excerpts from this interview -
Do you represent typical New Jersey housewives? Caroline: That’s kind of a loaded question. Do I think we depict an Italian American family? Yes, I do. Do I think I depict a housewife? I most certainly am. There are some aspects to my personality that may be stronger than most, but the fact remains that I wake up every morning and I make the beds and I go food shopping and I let the dogs out and I do the laundry and I am somebody’s wife and somebody’s mother. Dina: When I think of New Jersey, I think of moms who are passionate about their families. We definitely represent that. We’re not really looking to be in the social scene as much as some of the other [casts] in the franchise. Our show is more authentic because some of those women were kind of forced to hang out with each other, whereas for us, we’d all be out to dinner together anyway — with the exception of a couple. We’re just regular people. We’re not walking a red carpet every night.
Do family dynamics make the drama more intense? Caroline: With any family — and it’s not only Italian families — there is history. With history comes passion. When there are fights, we fight big. And when we forgive and we love, we love big and we forgive big. That’s what family is. I think this country needs that right now.
Dina, How have your teenage daughter Alexia’s schoolmates reacted? Dina: I was a little bit worried about putting her out there, but she’s gotten nothing but positive [feedback]. She just made captain of the track team. She was always popular but now kids are coming out of the woodwork. Eighth graders who are older than her want to be her friend. So she’s kind of liking the limelight a little bit too. Let’s just hope it doesn’t go to her head.
Are you prepared for any potential backlash? Caroline: There is no preparing for it. But I’m a big girl. I’ve taught my children to accept that not everybody is going to love you. We make mistakes and we do things that perhaps at times will embarrass us, but that’s what makes us human. I am proud of who I am. And I am so proud of my children. Dina: We’re very confident that we’re good people. I can put my head on my pillow every night knowing that I give back to my community and I’m a great mother and a great sister, so they can say whatever they want.
