Last night, Little Women: LA delved into some painful topics, namely Terra Jole getting frightening news that she may have breast cancer. Elena Gant also hosts a party after the baptism of her twin boys, at which Jasmine Sorge announces that she and her husband Chris, not Terra and Joe Gnoffo, were chosen as godparents to the little wee ones. Terra does NOT take the news well, to put it mildly. Meanwhile, Christy McGinity Gibel is busy navigating life with her overbearing mom and daughter as she prepares for Todd’s gastric sleeve surgery.
Tonya Banks – who’s still imagining that her activewear line is ready to launch – is out shopping for baptism clothes with Elena. When Elena reveals who she’s chosen as godparents, Tonya seems shocked. And caught in a bind, as she already spilled the beans to Terra that Elena was thinking of choosing her. Ruh-roh. Elena is adamant that Terra’s priorities aren’t straight enough to be a suitable godparent though, and that’s that. So – this should all go over swimmingly at Elena’s upcoming baptism party!
Terra confesses, “I’m truly crushed that my relationship with Elena has faded. In the episode, Elena mentions that after Dancing with the Stars, we never talked like we used to, but the phone lines work both ways. We are both to blame for our lack of communication, but conveniently Elena is upset that I’m not calling as much. This makes it easy for her to appoint someone else as a godparent.”
Newbie Mary Russell came and went in the blink of an eye on Little Women: LA. Perhaps she was only slated to be a temporary character, or perhaps the coven of witches other cast mates drove her off? In any case, Terra Jole expresses regret that Elena Gant and Tonya Banks, in particular, couldn’t give Mary more of a chance. Their extreme jealousy fueled arguments with the newest little woman right from the start.
Terra is glad to see that Jasmine Sorge and Elena have bonded at long last, though. “I’ve always said that Elena and Jasmine will bond. Now that that’s happened, I truly don’t feel like Briana will ever be close again with Jasmine. EVER! It’s a normal transition for your friendship to change especially when trying to negotiate your home life. Elena and Jasmine not only have their relationship, but the bond of their husbands.”
New gal Mary Russell has officially inserted herself into the hornet’s nest of Little Women: LA this season, becoming the newest cast member to cause strife and friction among a group of women who already need deep, prolonged therapy. As Mary holds auditions for her fashion show this week, Elena Gant continues to get her nose out of joint about Mary’s “authenticity” – or, more likely, her success. Which Elena clearly resents, given her own fashion line failure. Terra Jole can’t help but be caught in the middle of her two warring friends – just the way she likes it! But at least Briana Renee doesn’t strip down to her skivvies again. And for that, we give thanks.
We begin with Elena and Jasmine Sorge having lunch. They’ve come so far as mommies dishing about babies now instead of enemies dishing about each other. Both seem grateful for that growth. But Elena has a new target in her sights: Mary, who she sorta-kinda made up with at the Sex Expo, but who she apparently still hates. Because, jealousy is hard. Jasmine’s anger is focused on Briana, who called her out for being “up Terra’s a$$” last week. Finally seeing Briana for the crap friend she is, Jasmine is thiiiiiiiis close to closing the Briana and Matt Ericson [Grundhoffer] chapter forever. Which will leave Briana with a grand total of zero friends. And her own head up her a$$, where it generally prefers to reside.
In her blog this week, Terra Jole offers her thoughts on the latest episode of Little Women: LA. In particular, Terra makes a plug for the newest addition to the group (and possibly, a permanent addition to the cast?), Mary – who Elena Gant and Tonya Banksterrorized did not initially warm to. Terra also takes a moment to react to Briana Renee’s “boudoir photo shoot,” which she says was ruined by hubby Matt Ericson [Grundhoffer]’s leering, slobbering commentary.
Terra begins by joking, “With typical Little Women antics at an all-time high, and hearts healing at an all-time low, it’s been a real rollercoaster. For this episode, every time you hear the words ‘fashion line,’ it’s drinking time!”
The cast of Little Women LA traded the sun for the snow with a cast trip to Alaska!
From everyone’s social media posts it looks like they had a blast, and let the weather provide all the iciness. Most of the ladies brought husbands (because wherever Terra Jolé goes Joe goes too). Terra even had her kids along for the trip, although none of the other ladies did.
Good viewers, I regret to inform you that we will be subjected to reliving a moment that no one should have to suffer through twice in this recap today – the “boudoir photo shoot” that Briana Renee and Matt Ericson [Grundhoffer] thought was a brilliant idea. This week, Little Women: LA also brought us an extended version of Terra Jole’s argument with Briana, and bonus footage of new gal, Mary, who Elena Gant decides to haze. But all is not lost! For Terra takes the group on a dildo tour.
We pick up at tequila tasting, where Terra and Briana are going at it over the women’s march – but really, their issues go about 62 floors deeper than that. Briana has a nasty habit of being cool to your face, and very uncool behind your back. And Terra’s not here for it anymore. Jasmine Sorge isn’t either, it turns out, as she jumps in with questions about Briana “stealing” Terra’s manager. Jasmine isn’t drinking the Terra Kool Aid, as Briana surmises, as much as she’s seeing the light after how dirty Briana did her friend Lisa (because it was Lisa’s fault Matt was sending her inappropriate texts, remember?).
Other than the paycheck and relative fame, I have no idea why Briana Renee keeps coming back to Little Women: LA. Every year her marriage to Matt Ericson takes a major hit with new adulterous, shady accusations. Briana evokes sympathy, acts like everything is fine, and then gets offended when the other cast members express concern.
It’s a cycle that never ends. I have to admit that I was initially intrigued by this drama, but I’m so over it now. Aside from this repetitive nature of this story line, it just never seems like Briana or Matt are being truthful…about anything. It’s so frustrating to watch, so I can’t imagine what it’s actually like to costar on this show with her be friends with her. Briana “opened up” about the state of their marriage and some legal issues.
