Are The X Factor Mentors And Producers Ruining The Show?

I have an unhealthy obsession with Simon Cowell and I love The X Factor. #confessiontime That said… the live shows are a hot mess!

Do you agree? Am I the only one watching? I can live with that.

For the sake of this rant, let's pretend that Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez do not exist. (You don't even want to get me started on Khloe's hosting skills.) Today, I'm upset with the producers and the mentors, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid, Britney Spears, and (even my precious) Simon.

Beatrice Miller, one of my favorite contestants, seems to be one of the few on The X Factor with any freaking sense, and she isn't afraid to speak her mind. (unrelated but interesting sidenote: she's the voice of Molly in Toy Story 3) Did I mention that she's only 13 years old? Love this girl! Beatrice had a lot to say after this week's disastrous "divas" show.

Contestants, judges, hosts and fans of 'The X Factor' gathered last night at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills for the finalists party.

Khloe Kardashian (wearing a Skaist-Taylor dress with Gianvitto Rossi shoes), Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Mario Lopez and L.A. Reid gathered on the purple carpet with the finalists to celebrate.

I haven't been watching at all this season. I thought Britney would be enough to pull me in, but there just aren't enough hours in the day! So, fill us in! How is this season shaping up?

X Factor Contestant Rules Revealed; Plus Video Footage Of Why Simon Cowell Is The Best Mentor!

As if Khloe Kardashian having to share the stage with sister Kim's ex-husband Damon Thomas wasn't enough (I'm still crossing my fingers they'll end up biffles–how hilarious would that be?), now we have a list of the X Factor's contestants' house rules. Admittedly, while I love a singing competition, much of my viewing of them comes from YouTube clips. You all have to remember Susan Boyle's Britain's Got Talent audition, right? I get teary just thinking about it. Simon Cowell, the hardazz, chewing on his pen while falling in love? Priceless!

That said, I've been lukewarm on the X Factor thus far this season. I was actually glad that Britney Spears didn't turn into the train wreck that seemed to be expected of her, and after getting Demi Lovato's newest song stuck in my head 24/7 and knowing her struggles, I like her as well. Who is there for me to snark on if I like everyone involved? Thankfully, knowing what the contestants are and aren't allowed to do, I have a new outlet, and it's awesome. Let's face it, the rules I'm about to share with you are less about compliance and more about human decency and common sense. Thankfully, peeps who are trying to make their name on reality television have neither!

Kris Jenner Caught In NBC’s 9/11 Snafu And Thought Honey Boo Boo Was A Dog? Plus, Simon Cowell Wants Khloe As X Factor Host!

You know, I often think that if we normal people would just ignore all things Kardashian, the family would slowly fade into obscurity. Of course, I realize the irony of me wishing this would happen while blogging about them. I also realize it is never going to happen if non-normal (read: wacky celebs and "news correspondents") people keep giving them the time of day.

That said, I have an announcement to make. I am now watching Good Morning America for the first time ever. I don't know why I waited this long as I think George Stephanopoulos is hot, and I adore Amy Robach. The TODAY Show is dead to me. I'm sorry, Al Roker. I'll always think highly of you, as I know the show stripped you of extra time with your best pal Ann Curry, but to Matt Lauer (I blame you for Ann!) and the rest of the morning show's cronies, I say, for shame. (P.S. I still heart you, Willie Geist!)

Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid kicked off the new season of The X Factor in a unique way last night. The X Factor held the premiere screening at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in true movie premiere style!

Demi, L.A., Britney and Simon also participated in a Handprint Ceremony before the premiere. Seems a little early to be cementing their "iconic" status when the show is only beginning its second season, no?

Simon is pulling out all the stops, making sure everyone knows that The X Factor starts this week!

Nick Jonas And Pharrell Williams Being Considered As American Idol Judges

Jennifer Lopez. Out. Steven Tyler. Out. Mariah Carey. In. I’ll be the first to say I didn’t see that one coming! American Idol has become a revolving door these days, has it not?

So the big question is, who will round out the judges’ panel? While rumors run rampant, I can say that there will likely be two seats filled. Why, you ask? It appears that longtime Idol fixture and judge Randy Jackson will be transitioning into a mentor role. He certainly has the credentials, and the contestants would surely benefit from his knowledge.

Despite allegedly being fired from American Idol, Forbes has named Jennifer Lopez number one on their Celebrity 100 list. Why? Her amazing career resurrection! Oh, and the massive millions she’s pulled in as of late. Dating teenagers does wonders for one’s earning ability, I suppose.

Apparently basing their list not on talent, but on monetary success, social media prowess, and media visibility; Jennifer outranks even Oprah and Beiber this year. The former J.Lo earned $52 Million dollars in the last year alone. Holy hot pants that’s a lot of moolah!

Crediting Jennifer‘s amazing reincarnation from aging nobody married to Marc Anthony and a flailing attempt at the latin market, Jennifer’s star started rising again the moment she stepped onto the Idol judging panel.
