In a last ditch effort to convince Real Housewives of Orange County fans that he’s not a liarface, Brooks Ayers is writing a tell-all book, in which he calls out producers for fabricating the “cancer gate” storyline for ratings.
Brooks continues to insist that he did not lie about having cancer. “I didn’t fake cancer,” he tells Page Six. “Who in their right mind would fake cancer?”
And for Vicki’s troubles she may be getting $132,000 out of the deal – a settlement that was initially awarded to Brooks! That may be the only good thing that ever came out of dating Brooks.
Vicki’s Vodka was started as a partnership, but quickly dissolved into a never-ending game of who’s suing whom between Vicki, Robert, and Brooks. Was there ever any actual vodka? One such claim, filed by Robert, accused Brooks of hiring a hit man to whack him. Brooks managed to score a minor victory when a Nevada judge determined there was no evidence, and dismissed Robert’s case.
Jeff Lewis and Vicki Gunvalson both know a little bit about Flipping Out! They’ve also both been on reality TV since Bravo was a channel people were still trying to find in their expanded cable package. So, they know a thing or two about how this game works, and how to work it when the chips are down. This begs the question: Are Andy Cohen’s OG’s joining forces now that Vicki’s future on the Real Housewives of Orange County has come under scrutiny?
RHOC served up an exhausting season of watching Vicki defend her lying sack o’ shizz boyfriend Brooks Ayers over his claims of “fighting cancer” – followed by Vicki claiming she was “duped! duped, I say!” when the truth (at least about Brooks faking his medical documents) came to light. As a result, Vicki has some serious ground to make up with viewers who claim she is also a liar. But can Vicki’s besmirched reputation ever be restored to its former bed-wetting glory?
Just in case you need a reminder that Brooks Ayers is no stranger to scandal, he was once involved in helping Vicki Gunvalson launch a vodka line. Vicki’s Vodka went defunct after a slew of lawsuits and crazy allegations between Brooks and Vicki’s former partner Robert Williamson III. One such allegation being that Robert accusing Brooks of hiring a hitman to off him! Yes – that happened.
Remember that time Brooks Ayers really had cancer and wanted to prove it so badly that he falsified doctor’s reports? While he’s no longer filling the love tank of OG Vicki Gunvalson, Brooks certainly created a great story line for the viewers of Real Housewives of Orange County. Not only is faking cancer the most deplorable tall tale one could create, but why would someone do it while being filmed for a popular reality series? Of course, I am not saying Brooks lied about having cancer, but that’s mainly because, you know…legal stuff.
While all of Vicki’s co-stars doubt Brooks account of his health thanks to a lot of discrepancies, his random treatments (or lack thereof), that damn psychic, and just a basic distrust of Brooks in general, it’s only been recently that Vicki has distanced herself from the man who has been consistently wrecking her reputation. Now, her family wants Brooks punished for also defaming the reputable medical provider who he touted as the producer of his fake reports.
In the world of Reality TV, most “celebrities” are on a constant mission to stay relevant. In the world of Vicki Gunvalson, she seems on a constant mission to shake off the stank that is Brooks Ayers and his ongoing I Have Cancer, For Reals! storyline. But is she going about it in all of the wrong ways?
Let’s start with the positive: Heather Dubrow looked gorgeous at The Abbey’s sixth annual tree lighting to commemorate World AIDS Day in West Hollywood earlier this week. Now the negative: Heather spent her time there talking about Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers.
