I never thought I'd be so happy to write a post about past (or present) cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey! After weeks of non-stop crazy drama and endless posts about Atlanta and Beverly Hills, I'm thrilled to see these ladies! Yes, you read that right, THRILLED.
Caroline Manzo and her family and Jacqueline Laurita and her family (including kiddos C.J. and Nicholas) stepped out last night to attend "Ringling Bros." And "Barnum & Bailey" Presents "Legends" at Barclays Center in NYC.
While I think that all the Real Housewives of New Jersey fancy themselves as actresses (some of that drama has to be fabricated, right?), it seems that one certain relative of a housewife actually has the acting chops to make it in theater. After a successful run off-Broadway in both My Big Gay Italian Wedding and My Big Gay Italian Funeral, Melissa Gorga's (the one who fancies herself a pop star…coincidence?) sister Kim Pirrella is returning to St. Luke's Theatre for a double encore.
According to a press release we received at RT, "My Big Gay Italian Wedding premiered at the Actor's Playhouse in November 2003. On September 12, 2009, a revised and updated version of the play played a benefit performance at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island; the new production was produced by Dina Manzo of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and was moved to St. Luke's Theatre in Manhattan in May 2010 for a sixteen month run. During the run, the show hosted some major celebrities including Jersey housewives Caroline Manzo and daughter Lauren, Jacqueline Laurita and daughter Ashley, Teresa Giudice and Dina Manzo. Tabatha Coffey also proved to be a huge supporter of the show by making multiple appearances and hosting a hairstyling contest back in 2011."
Just in time for the holidays, Albert Manzo is getting a lawsuit in his stocking. Oopsie!
A waitress claims that Al and his brother Tommy Manzo (you know… Dina's hubby!) stiffed her of overtime pay plus called her and other co-workers "Spic bitches" along with other "racial, sexual, ethnic and country of origin epithets."
Lanise Jackson filed a suit against the former Real Housewives of New Jersey stars and Brownstone manager Robert Manger. Her lawsuit states she was employed there from October 2011 to April 2012 and then again from September to November 2013 when she was "constructively terminated as she could no longer endure the racial, sexual, ethnic and country of origin epithets hurled at her hourly."
This week some of our favorite Bravolebrities gathered for WNBC's private Christmas tree lighting party in NYC and it seems that maybe love was in the air during this magical holiday event!
Our man about town Tom Murro was in attendance at the soiree and shared some tidbits on the get-together. "What can I say? It's a magical event in the greatest city in the world. Caroline Manzo, who's been to the party a few times before, really enjoyed the tree this year – and Al's arms too."
Aside from Caroline and Al, other Housewives in attendance includedAviva Drescher and husband Reid, along with Kathy Wakile's sister Rosie Pierri. Rosie was in great spirits and Tom reveals that she had a possible date with her, Ellen. Tom says Rosie's plus one was "sweet as could be." Rosie has been spotted with Ellen at a few events since October, so it's possible these are two dating, but trying to keep things quiet.
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here's a roundup of some of our favorite photos from the Twitterverse this week! Enjoy!
