Teen Mom Season 3

All mediocre good things must come to an end!

MTV is confirming today that the 4th season of the original Teen Mom featuring Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout, and Amber Portwood, will be the last.

“Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah,” MTV tells Us Weekly. “They will continue to be a part of our MTV family, and we’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention.”

Maci, Catelynn, Amber, and Farrah all began their MTV careers back in 2009 by starring on the first season of 16 and Pregnant.

MTV has yet to announce the premiere date of Teen Mom‘s fourth and final season, but it is expected to air sometime this summer. A Teen Mom 3 is however in the works and will likely feature an all new cast from the upcoming season of 16 and Pregnant which premieres March 27.

As we’ve reported, Amber is currently engaged in a legal mess which includes very strict probation rules that might prohibit her from continuing on with the series. We have to wonder if Amber’s issues had anything to do with this news.

Meanwhile, E! News is also reporting that Farrah Abraham might be in talks to get her own spinoff show!

The 5’7″ Farrah, 20, who signed a deal with Models International last month, is “in talks with MTV producers” about a spinoff show based on her new life and career, according to the modeling agency.

“Farrah signed with us in February and will be featured in upcoming magazines as well as LAFashionWeke.com,” a rep for Models International tells E!. “We’re very excited to have her on board. She’s going to be doing commercial, print and brand name licensing.”

Allrighty! Some of Farrah’s first modeling photos are below!

Things are already looking bleak again for Teen Mom‘s Leah Messer, who recently went through a miscarriage.

A new report alleges that she caught fiance Jeremy Calvert making plans to hook up with a stripper. “While Jeremy was in the shower, Leah saw that he received a text. She soon realized that Jeremy was chatting with another girl!”

Like many cheating fools before him, Jeremy tried to cover it up and say he was talking to a co-worker. Unless he works at Bada Bing’s, that excuse didn’t hold up, and soon Leah discovered the texting woman was a Lady Of The Pole. Apparently, visiting strip clubs is one of Jeremy‘s hobbies, and the report says he visits clubs often. Leah was not happy, the source says: ”She couldn’t believe that Jeremy would betray her. Leah broke down crying.”

While some women would leave or end the relationship at the first hint of messing around, Leah will probably continue as normal. The source explains, “Leah is terrified to be alone. She would rather be with a bad guy like Jeremy than no guy at all.” We hope Leah gets strong and maybe pays a visit Dr. Drew to perform some self-reflection, and then promptly dump the deadweight, if it turns out he is indeed cheating.

Speaking of the lovely Dr. Drew, fellow Teen Mom stars Kailyn LowryCatelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout visited the set of his show Life Changers to do some crying and also shake their heads at their troubled cast mate, Jenelle Evans. Catelynn was ultimately supportive of Jenelle, who is currently entangled in several legal dramas, “That’s her life. We all need to be there and support her and help her choose a different path in life.”

Kailyn was a bit more negative, comparing their standards to Jenelle’s, saying “Her best might not be our standards of best.” But, she quickly changed her tune, and had this somewhat optimistic piece to add, “I think she’ll figure it out.”

Kailyn’s comments are not so surprising as a report came out two weeks ago stating Jenelle not only owes Kailyn money, but also back-stabbed Kailyn by stealing her boyfriend!

Last night we bid a final farewell to MTV’s original Teen Mom cast. Well, not technically final, because I’m sure they will keep filming this train wreck as long as their are folks like me to watch it!

The finale resumes with a saddened Amber rejoining her mother on Dr. Drew’s sofa after the doctor goes to speak with her. At the end of the first half of the reunion Amber had stormed off stage because she was so upset discussing her younger sister’s death from SIDS when Amber was four years old. Dr. Drew assures Amber that SIDS is sadly a common killer of infants and no one is to blame.

Amber’s mother remembers that the mother-daughter relationship was very stressful before Amber got pregnant. Dr. Drew uses Amber and her mother as a tutorial for parents who are concerned about their child’s sex lives, discussing how to overcome the awkwardness of broaching the subject of sex with one another.

It’s the first half of this season’s Teen Mom reunion, and of course, Dr. Drew Pinsky is hosting to give his insight and expertise. Thank goodness, because we all know these ladies need it!

Dr. Drew introduces the original Teen Moms, and they all look pretty awkward. He asks them what kind of reaction they get from the public after being back on the show. Maci reveals that she has a lot of older women who were teen moms approach her to say the show helps them broach the subject of sex and parenthood with their children. That’s good, as it is supposedly the point of the program. Amber says she gets mainly negative feedback given the drama that has been a part of of Leah’s upbringing. Farrah gets good feedback, but she seems very out of it with her answer. Catelynn explains that she has many fans approach her about her choice of adoption. She even says that she went to the hospital with a girl who had chosen adoption for her baby because the baby’s father had left her alone with the difficult decision.

Dr. Drew, much like me, feels very proud of Catelynn’s impact. He shows a two minute montage which sums up the entire season. Really? Could I have just watched this Cliff Notes version instead of having to see poor Michael be ridiculed or Gary try his hand at singing?

Last night’s season finale of Teen Mom was another super-sized episode that had each member of the franchise making very difficult decisions. Will Farrah take Sophia to Florida (thanks Life & Style for being a spoiler!)? Will Carly come to Catelynn and Tyler’s graduation? Will Amber reconcile with Gary? What will become of the Maci-Kyle-Ryan drama trifecta?

It’s Sophia’s second birthday, and Farrah wants to put the family stress of her impending move aside for her party. She walks into her parents’ home and her father greets her warmly. “Shut the hell up, MICHAEL!” she screams. Way to put the stress behind them. At lunch, Farrah’s mom brings up how much pain her daughter was in during labor. None of them seem to remember the day of her birth in anywhere near the same manner, but whatevs. Happy birthday, Sophia! Welcome to the cra-cra!

Teen Mom star Maci Bookout is starting to have second thoughts about doing the popular MTV show according to a new interview with Life & Style magazine.

The reason? Maci, 19, worries about how the show is affecting her 2-year-old son Bentley Edwards. “I don’t want to steal his childhood,” says Maci who is worried about Bentley growing up under a harsh media microscope. “I don’t know if being on TV in elementary school would be difficult for him. I want him to have a normal life.”

Maci, who reportedly earns $60,000 per season, however adds that choosing to walk away from the fame show would be a very difficult decision because it has allowed her to provide for her son. “Without the show, I would have had to have a full-time job and be in school full-time, and I’d rarely get to spend time with Bentley,” Maci says. “It’s been difficult, but it’s also been a big blessing.”

As for the moment, Maci assures us Bentley’s not being affected by the show in any negative way. “He actually enjoys it,” she confesses. “Bentley thinks it’s cool to watch himself on TV and to have cameras around.”

In other Teen Mom news, Catelynn Lowell, you know, the one that sort of has it together and therefore no one really talks about her, is making recent headlines. The reason? It all has to do with an eviction.

According to TMZ Catelynn and her boyfriend Tyler Baltierra, who were shown moving into their 1st apartment together on the MTV show, were evicted from the same apartment for failing to pay rent! The 19-year-olds signed a lease on the apartment in Marine City, Michigan, in August, 2010 with court documents showing they stopped paying rent in December, 2010.

This caused their landlord to give them an eviction notice while also taking them to court. The landlord ending up winning big as the two had to give up their $450.00 security deposit, in addition to paying an additional $450 in back rent and moving out of the building.

The two of course did what any other 19-year-olds would do by taking to their twitter pages to give their side. “The landlord was an idiot and didn’t fix anything I payed [sic] every month that I lived there,” Catelynn tweeted. Tyler added, “Ok everyone I did not get evicted, I left bcuz the landlord was a lazy unprofessional man of business, and I refuse to put with it FYI.” Guess we’ll have to wait and see if the eviction drama makes the show.

A new episode of Teen Mom airs tonight on MTV at 10/9c.

TELL US – SHOULD LITTLE KIDS BE ON REALITY TV? PLUS THOUGHTS ON CATELYNN’S EVICTION?

They’re ba-ack! The original Teen Moms, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Farrah Abraham and Catelynn Lowell returned last night for their third season as the first Teen Moms.

Maci is taking time off from work, and she and baby Bentley are living in Nashville for the summer to be close to new beau Kyle. She is concerned because Ryan seems to have slacked off with his child support payments. Maci calls a friend to complain, and they joke about the possibility of him going to jail. Maci doesn’t want future Bentley (at age eight, to be exact) to ask if Dad’s ever been in jail only to find out that yes, Dad was locked up for not providing for him. Is jail something that normal third graders inquire about in regard to their parents?

Farrah and her mother have continued counseling to mend their volatile relationship. Farrah is juggling culinary school, waitressing and modeling…oh yeah, and being a mom to baby Sophia. She reveals she’s ready for a big change…a move perhaps? College? Volunteering for a good cause? Um, no. A boob job. Seriously? Can I get a slow clap for MTV for making this girl a TV “star” and providing her with the money to “fix” the breasts that her toddler so selfishly changed by being born? She plans to take out a loan because, duh…she deserves to treat herself.

Teen Mom Season 3

MTV has announced the third season of Teen Mom will premiere July, 5 at 10/9c!

All four original teen moms – Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Farrah Abraham, and Amber Portwood – return in what is being described as “their toughest year yet.” The press release adds, “the young parents face their biggest challenges yet. This season, the series goes deeper into the girls’ lives as they confront old wounds, struggle to further their education, face strained relationships and strive to give their children the best life possible.”

In the trailer below, we get to see more fighting between Amber and Gary plus Amber is scared when she discovers she might lose custody of Leah. Tyler and Catelynn wonder about their daughter and talk about moving in together, Maci struggles in school as with ex Ryan, and Farrah, who is having a tough time disciplining daughter Sophia, takes her to her deceased father’s grave.

And to ward off the backlash promote the new season, the MTV network rolled out a series of PSAs last month featuring the teen moms in which they talk about the importance of protection and preventing teen pregnancy. Those PSAs currently air on the MTV network.

The 2-minute Teen Mom Season 3 trailer is below!
