We are days away from finale episode of Southern Charm’s fourth season, but it ain’t over til it’s over. We still have the reunion episode to look forward to, or if it’s juicy enough: multiple reunion episodes. The cast gathered on Tuesday to June 20, 2017, to film the reunion in New York City with Andy Cohen.
I really don’t understand the tension between Shep Rose and Craig Conover on Southern Charm. Aside from the fact that they are both pretty similar, I don’t see why there is so much animosity between the two of them and why they are constantly calling each other out, but it’s getting old.
During the last Watch What Happens Live episode, Shep called Craig out via tweet for calling him out on the show for trying to get with Chelsea Meissner while she was clearly with Austen Kroll. Yes, I get that sounds confusing, but they both came out swinging. Next time Andy Cohen needs to have them both in the clubhouse. That would definitely be an interesting episode.
They are really pushing this “love triangle” story line this season on Southern Charm. Sure, Shep Rose was into Chelsea Meissner, but was he really that into her? I highly doubt it. I really do not think Austen Kroll did anything wrong by pursuing Chelsea, especially since Shep was still playing the field.
Austen had a serious interest in Chelsea right from the start which was a stark contrast to Shep’s interaction with her. Don’t get me wrong, I love Shep, but this story line needs to end. First off, I’m totally in the dark when it comes to Chelsea’s appeal. Yes, I like her, but why is everyone fawning all over her? Can we get back to focusing on Kathryn or exposing Landon for her fakery? That’s what I want to watch.
That’s why I was so happy when she stopped by the Bravo club house to talk Southern Charm with Andy Cohen and throw shade at just about everyone from the cast. I don’t agree with everything she said, but I love her for sharing her truth while she was wearing a caftan with photos of her dog on it. There’s no way that I couldn’t appreciate a person rocking that outfit.
After such an epic saga of drama between Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis, it’s easy to forget that she also got with Shep Rose during the first season of Southern Charm. One person who didn’t forget was Shep himself who remembers that era pretty fondly and has no issue discussing it. Not that Shep really has an issue discussing anything. The man is an open book. He was really made for reality TV.
Shep discussed his upcoming love triangle with new cast members Austen Kroll and Chelsea Meissner– which I cannot wait for since Austen is the only formidable opponent that Shep has faced when it comes to wooing the ladies. He attempted to explain the odd dynamic between him and Craig Conover. And he even reminded us all that there was a person named Jenna in Season 1 of the show.
I feel like the Southern Charm cast is the most random grouping of friends on reality TV, but it does work somehow. I’ve been captivated by this show since the very beginning. And now that the new season has started airing, Shep Rose is sharing his opinions about all the relevant plot points.
**Warning This Article May Contain Southern Charm Season 4 Premiere Spoilers**
It feels like forever since we last saw the Southern Charm crew, and is the usual with the Charleston crew, a lot has happened, especially for Kathryn Dennis since she last graced the screen. And while fans didn’t get a full dose of the leggy redhead in the season 4 Southern Charm premiere, folks were certainly talking about little else. But that leaves us wondering, what does Kathryn think about all of the chatter?
First, Kathryn says that she was glad to see some new blood introduced on Southern Charm season 4, and she wants to stress that she thinks that both new guy, Austen Krolland new gal, Chelsea Meissnerwill be a welcome addition to the show.
“Austen is a great guy, and a sweetheart,” says Kathryn. I just hope he isn’t too sweet and naive for the show!”
