Sources connected to the show reveal that Julianne has been made an offer to join the show as the fourth judge, which means no one is being replaced or fired, they’re simply adding a magical extra! Julianne’s people are in negotiations with DWTS to make the deal, which is supposed to happen soon. Julianne had a trial run last season which didn’t go well, but apparently ABC is still happy to have her return.
Rumor has it Maks was initially supposed to nab the extra judges spot, but instead they went with Julianne. Perhaps when Len Goodman takes that retirement…
Maksim Chmerkovskiy sure likes to keep us guessing. The dancing pro returned to Dancing With the Starsafter taking off a couple of seasons off, only to win the coveted mirror ball trophy, and then hinting that he may not be returning to the ABC mega-hit.
But that was not the only surprise on this season’s finale. Head Judge, Len Goodman also seemed to hint that he would not be returning to the show, to the shock and surprise of his fellow judges and viewers at home.
That is a whole lot of hinting for one hour of reality TV. Not to mention those hints could turn the show upside down!
So now that we are heading towards the new season premiere, will Maks and Len both be back? Or is Maks aiming to take over the judges table?

Last night the Dancing With the Stars mirror ball may have finally gone to Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner Meryl Davis, but did the right couple win? Not necessarily! According to TMZ, some outraged fans say that Facebook votes for fan favorite James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were counted for Meryl and Maks instead. Which lead to James being voted off the show on Monday night, even though he had much higher scores than Candace Cameron Bure.
Had James stayed would it really have changed the outcome of the winner? Probably not. Let us not forget that Meryl Davis is a professional ice dancer — she was amazing from the beginning. But if the votes were incorrectly counted it may have allowed James to take third place over Candace, still not sure it would have even gotten him into second place.
But a rep for ABC told TMZ "despite the automated Facebook response … the votes were all counted correctly. The rep blew off the apparent error as a 'caching anomaly' that only affected a small amount of users."
And that wasn't all the drama from the ballroom during finale week.
Abby Lee Miller, the star of Lifetime's Dance Moms, has become famous for her aggressive — I say mean, controlling and detrimental to children — style of teaching dance. And Maks has always been the bad boy of DWTS. So when she has some harsh words for front-runners Maks and Meryl Davis, Maks immediately shot back, telling Erin Andrews, ""I really don't care for anything she has to say."
Was anyone surprised that was his response? Really?
