Dancing With The Stars’ Ratings Are Down; Plus, Lisa Vanderpump Blogs About The Experience!

Season 16 Vanderpump of Dancing with the Stars premiered Monday night.

While Dancing with the Stars was the most-watched show of the night, with 16.76 million viewers, the season premiere ratings were down 11% compared to last spring's season 14 premiere. Next week's premiere of The Voice should prove to be interesting. I'm curious to learn how many viewers stick with DWTS and how many leave to check out the new mentors on The Voice.

That said, as long as the fabulous Lisa Vanderpump is a-dancing, we'll be a-watching. Lucky us – the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is blogging about her experience for People Magazine.

While Lisa isn't complaining about being "wrapped around" her "gorgeous partner" Gleb Savchenko, she revealed that the most enjoyable part of Dancing with the Stars is the camaraderie that she and her competitors share.

My mother always told me that good things happen to good people. When I would complain that the mean girl always seemed to get the dream guy or the amazing job, she would remind me that mean people are often miserable no matter what successes they have. She'd say we should feel bad for those who are so hateful and be thankful to have love in our hearts and not be one of those people. Snarking on reality stars aside, I think it's sound advice…and she was right! Just look at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!

Brandi Glanville has struggled to get back on her feet after a nasty and public divorce, and she's tried to be as straightforward and honest (if not totally brash) when it comes to her life. Her frankness and sharp tongue have proven to be Brandi's greatest allies as she gets the last laugh on her haters. Likewise, Adrienne Maloof, who had me fooled season one, has channeled her inner mean girl, and it's not very becoming.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star (and now Dancing with the Stars contestant) Lisa Vanderpump took a break from dance practice this weekend to have some fun.

Lisa, Giggy, husband Ken Todd, and her pro partner Gleb Savchenko stopped by the DWTS gifting suite to check out the goodies and pose for some photos.

Lisa and Gleb goofed around, while Ken and Giggy remained close by. Giggy posed for a few photos of his own. Giggy also won the heart of pro dancer Tony Dovolani, who scooped him up for a shot.

Tonight is Lisa's big debut! Are you tuning in to see how she does?! I'm wondering what memorable outfit Brandi Glanville is going to wear in the audience!

If you think the Satin Queen of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is as fabulous as I do, then you'll be glued to your televisions to watch Lisa Vanderpumpupthejam compete on Dancing with the Stars. As the first star from the Bravo franchise to dance on the show, Lisa no doubt has a fan base capable of keeping her on the show for the long haul.

Not surprisingly, Lisa is approaching the reality competition like she does everything else in her life…with hard work and her biting wit. Oh, and Giggy of course! She'll be dancing with new pro Gleb Savchenko, and from the looks of things, Lisa is fierce as ever!

First the Bachelorette, then the Bachelor, then Dancing with the Stars, then "I'm not looking for fame." Hmmm… one of these things is not like the others… one of these things just doesn't belong…

Mr. Three Back-to-Back Reality Shows, aka Sean Lowe, is now crying about the fact that he can't go out with his buddies without being hounded by fans. Well, when you flaunt your rock-hard abs on TV every Monday night, these things are bound to happen.

"I've always said that I'm not looking for fame," Sean said. "In fact, I don't like the fame aspect of being the Bachelor or being on Dancing With the Stars. I wish I could – you know, I can't go out in Dallas with my buddies anymore because I'm left taking pictures the whole night because people – you know, they recognize me and they want to take pictures."

Chris Harrison Dishes On Bachelor Sean Lowe’s Decision; Justin Bieber’s Mom Gets In On The Action!

It's no secret to any of you that I adore Bachelor host Chris Harrison. He's equal parts diplomatic, fatherly, and humorous. He doesn't mince words. He wears ties that could not be pulled off by the average gentleman. In fact, the only complaint I've ever had about Mr. Harrison was his lapse in judgment when he went out with Justin Bieber's mom (more on her later!). Chris is now speaking out Sean Lowe's engagement to Catherine Giudici and ABC's pick for Desiree Hartsock for the Bachelorette.

Chris even expresses his disdain for Sean choosing to do Dancing with the Stars because he believes people will perceive him as being a "famewhore" who didn't do the Bachelor for the right reasons. Remember what I said about him not mincing words? Love it! Meanwhile, The Biebs' mom Patti Mallette was live-tweeting all over the place during Monday night's broadcast…perhaps trying to pique the interest of a certain debonair host?
