On last night’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa and Melissa vow to put the past behind them but just can’t, Jacqueline has a few too many red wines, Caroline gets her panties in a bunch and isn’t any fun, Kathy wants to open a restaurant, and Teresa invites her Made For TV Family to The Catskills for some old fashioned gun shootin, four-wheelin, TMI sex talk,wine-guzzling fun! Did I mention the TMI sex talk?
Ending where things left off last week, Melissa and Teresa are disagreeing about the Gorga Family Feud. Melissa comes out swinging by essentially blaming Teresa for the “disgusting” Christening debacle and insisting Teresa is never around and never sees their kids. Seriously. And suddenly it becomes all about the Joes and which Joe owes more money to which creditors. In the tit for tat convo, Teresa brings up Joe owing money to some plumbers and Melissa responds with a savage blow when she declares that Jr. Mafia Joe borrowed money from Non-Juicy, but when her hubby tried to collect on his debts Joe told Joe: “If you want your money sue me!” Melissa is confused and wants to know why her fellow shopaholic housewife just can’t skip a pair of Manolos to pay back the loan: “just pay me the $1000 – your wife is wearing more than that on her feet!” Duh!

In a new interview, Melissa is now defending herself stating she married Joe Gorgafor love and not for money. “When I hear her call me pretty much a gold digger, it’s like putting a knife in my heart and twisting it, because I know that she knows that’s not true,” Melissa told E! News.
Melissa continued, “Joe and I have been married for seven years and have three kids.” She goes on to add that she has stuck by Joe through financial difficulty. “We went through a time where we couldn’t even buy diapers. We had to sell every house we lived in…Did I go anywhere? Would I ever? No. It hurts me that she would even put that out there, to put that in someone’s head. And it doesn’t even hurt me as bad as it hurts her brother,” said Melissa.
Melissa also revealed that while she got along with Teresa in the beginning, they were never really BFFs. “Before the show came around, Teresa and bumped heads, but we always worked it out,” she said. “It wasn’t like we hated each other. We’d always be in the same rooms, but we never were best friends. You know, some people just don’t click.”
And similar to Tre, Melissa states she is also getting into the liquor business. “I have a champagne that I’m coming out with,” she said. “It’s called Magnifica Giornata and it stands for ‘magnificent day.’ It’s like a motto, ‘Every day’s a magnificent day.’” Seems like Ramona Singer has some competition coming her way!
Moving on to tonight’s all new super-sized episode of the RHONJ. On the 7th episode this season titled “Teresa’s Got a Gun,” Teresa and Melissa attempt to make peace, after which some of the gang journey to the Catskills. Back in the Garden State, Kathy savors the flavor of scouting for restaurants and Melissa prepares for a holiday dance recital. This spins into motion a family reunion that won’t include Teresa.
The episode airs at 10/9c and a preview clip is below. And finally, Melissa, who was in Los Angeles this week to do press for the show, linked up with OC housewives Tamra Barney and Peggy Tanouson Friday. “At a club w/ Melissa and Joe from jersey… I luv them!” tweeted Tamra. A photo of Melissa with Tamra is below!
Reality Tea can now report that sisters Caroline Manzo and Dina Manzo don’t appear to be on good terms. Whispers of a drift first began to arise as the two sisters have yet to be photographed together in months. In fact, the last picture we could find of them together dates back to last September.
The whispers grew louder as Caroline and the NJ Housewives hosted a premiere party at the Brownstone weeks ago, with Teresa hosting a separate party for herself. Dina chose to attend Teresa’s party. Dina also hosted an event for her Lady Bug charity on May 23 at The Brownstone (Dina’s husband Tommy Manzo is a co-owner with Caroline’s husband Albert Manzo), and while Teresa attended Dina’s event and was photographed with her, Caroline who was at the event with daughter Lauren, did not appear in any press photos (wireimages/gettyimages) with Dina.
And in Teresa’s Bravo blog this week, she alludes to Caroline having a feud with a sibling though she doesn’t mention Dina by name. Excerpts below -
“There are many parts of our lives that you don’t see. This episode you didn’t see my girls at all! You don’t see a lot of other people that are in all of our lives. You dont see Caroline’s other brothers and sisters and their family dynamic, for better or worse… Everyone keeps asking about my friendship with Caroline and Jacqueline. There is no feud. We all love each other. But as Caroline pointed out this week, we aren’t each other’s only friends. Jacqueline and I are very close, Dina and I are too. Caroline, while I’ve known her for years, is their big sister. I love her and I respect her, but she was never part of our group outside of family functions… I’m not the type of person to tell you how to live your life, because who am I to judge? I’m not perfect, and if I gave you advice on how to fix your problem when I have the same problem I can’t fix, it just doesn’t seem right.“
We did a little more digging and came across a recent post by the Reality Crack House blog this week in which a NJ Housewives insider reveals that the two sisters are indeed no longer on good terms. “They don’t speak, they haven’t for a while,” said the insider.
The final nail in the coffin? As of our last check yesterday (Wednesday) night, the two sisters are no longer following each other on twitter. Dina no longer follows Caroline, and a look at Caroline’s list of the 241 people she follows does not include her baby sister Dina. The two were in fact following each other at one point.
Teresa does seem to make a valid point (no hell has yet to freeze over) as it does appear a bit hypocritical for Caroline to be overly assertive in advising Teresa on her family feud with brother Joe Gorga, when she seems to have the same exact issue with her own younger sister. No word yet on what caused the rift between the two sisters.

TELL US – ARE YOU SURPRISED CAROLINE & DINA ARE NOT TALKING? DO YOU THINK CAROLINE IS HYPOCRITICAL FOR ADVISING TERESA ON HER FAMILY FEUD?
UPDATE – Caroline tweeted the photo below of her and Dina from the Lady Bug event with the caption,”I hate viscous people. Sorry to disappoint.” No word yet on why she no longer follows Dina on twitter despite following Teresa, Jacqueline and even newbie Melissa.
Dina, 39, will star in a new series for the HGTV network. The series will follow Dina and the staff of her event company Design Affairs as they create lavish events in their clients’ homes.
“Dina is an accomplished interior designer and also runs a thriving event planning business — her Real Housewives fans will be very surprised to see this side of her,” said Kathleen Finch, general manager of HGTV. “Dina brings a unique set of skills to HGTV and I’m thrilled to have her join our growing team of expert talent.”
The weekly series is set to debut in September.
It also seems Dina will make some appearances on the upcoming season of the ‘NJ Housewives.’ “Yes even tho I’m part of the HGTV family now u will still see me on @BravoTV here & there! Sooner than you think ; )” tweeted Dina on Friday.
“All the housewives and husbands took off on Sunday for Punta Cana,” said a source. “It’s a fun trip with friends and family.”
Radar adds that the housewives left their kids behind for this trip, and that Bravo is on hand to film the vacation for season 3. Scary Island 2 anyone?
Meanwhile, some fans are now wondering if Dina Manzo, who quit the show midway through season 2, might be returning based on a recent tweet she made.
“Filming a secret “project” for Bravo today…this should be fun!” tweeted Dina on Monday. However, it’s likely the filming wasn’t for the NJ housewives as Dina revealed a while back that while she wasn’t returning to the Real Housewives of NJ, she was indeed planning a return to TV.
And finally, weeks after Teresa Giudice jokingly stated she actually missed Danielle Staub’s presence on the NJ Housewives, Danielle is now firing back via a new interview with Popeater, making it clear the “the feeling isn’t mutual.”
“I am so happy with my life after leaving ['Housewives']. It wasn’t funny to me. It was very painful,” says Danielle, the current host of Wealth TV’s ‘Social.’ “I’m really happy in my life,” she says. “I have so much that I’ve just begun to do.”
This all stems from a lawsuit filed by Mastropole in which he accused Joe of forging his signature on a mortgage loan and then pocketing $1 million from that loan. Judge Morris Stern reportedly found Joe, who he described as lacking credibility, guilty of forging the signature.
According to the judge, Joe will have to pay his former business partner the $260k in spite of his legal claim for bankruptcy protection.
“The signing of Mastropole’s name was a forgery… exhibiting willfulness and malice toward a former friend and current adversar,” Judge Stern wrote in his judgment, handed down in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newark on Monday. “The extraordinary web of lies and misrepresentations woven by Giudice to implement and cover his misconduct reflects on his approach to business matters and suggest his disregard for legal restraints which would bind others.”
Moving on to other NJ news, despite her unwillingness to confirm or deny her return to the Real Housewives of New Jersey on the Bravo New Year’s Eve special, Popeater is echoing what we suspected all along, which is that Dina Manzo will not be returning to the Bravo hit show.
Dina however tells the site that her TV career is far from over. “You’ll see my face pop up on TV in the near future. I’m working on something very exciting, but it’s not reality TV,” says Dina who adds that she’s “happier than ever” since quitting the show. Though we’re not really sure what storyline Dina would have had after her ex-husband reportedly refused to allow their daughter Lexi to continue filming, in addition to her current husband, Tommy Manzo, who has also refused to do the show.
“I love them all. They’re great. The show just wasn’t for me. I’m a private person,” added Dina, who has appeared on two national reality shows in the past couple of years.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE NEW RULING AGAINST JOE? PLUS WILL YOU MISS DINA ON THE NJ HOUSEWIVES?
Following the leak or release of Caroline Manzo’s deposition, in a defamation lawsuit brought against Danielle by her ex-husband Kevin Maher, TMZ is reporting today that Jacqueline desperately wants to avoid testifying.
As for her reason, Jacqueline tells TMZ “I don’t want to go back to that dark place.” She added, “I didn’t even know I was on the list … it’s not really a list I want to be on … can I be taken OFF the list?”
As we previously reported, Kevin is suing Daniele for $5 million, citing that she spread horrific lies about him in the press and in her memoir. In addition to Caroline, Jacqueline was also added to the witness list to testify about Danielle’s “dishonest reputation.”
RadarOnline also reported a week ago that Danielle offered Kevin a settlement deal, but he ultimately rejected it.
“I really don’t want to go back to that dark place. Every time I’ve moved on the tide tries to pull me back in. I’m enjoying the sun. Let me be,” said Jacqueline, who is set to take the stand in February 2011.
In other NJ news, Dina Manzo tweeted a rare picture of she and her husbandTommy Manzo, who has never appeared on the Bravo show. That photo is below -
According to Popeater, Bethenny is still under contract with Bravo to appear on one more season of the show. This means the decision to appear or not appear on the show is completely up to Bravo, and not Bethenny.
“Bethenny’s contract with ‘Housewives’ is for another year,” a Bravo network executive tells Popeater. “Even though she has a contract for her own spin-off reality show, she needs to honor the contact she originally signed.”
And when it comes to Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub getting a spin-off show on another network, not so fast says Popeater. Apparently Danielle’s contract with Bravo clearly states she cannot work for another network for several more years without Bravo’s written permission.
“These ladies think they are superstars now and that something like a contract doesn’t matter,” an insider reveals. “Well, think again. Bravo isn’t in the business of creating stars and then letting them go to other networks. That just isn’t going to happen.”
In other housewives news, Danielle is now claiming former co-star Dina Manzo is sending her threatening text messages. “Dina texts me,” said Danielle to E! News. “Yep, Dina—who’s not even on the Housewives anymore. She’s hanging for dear life. Shut the f–k up, Dina!”
“She’s threatening me,” Danielle claims. “She’s an idiot. I don’t answer them.” Dina however denies this. “I left for a reason to get her out of my life,” said Dina. “I wish she would just do the same and move on.”
