Siggy Flicker is back, but she is not the peacemaker from last year. She has a lot to address this season. From her friendship with the always controversial Kim D to her issues with the new Housewife Margaret Josephs, it looks like she will be in the thick of the drama this season. And then there’s the part of the trailer (which I can’t stop watching) where she tells Danielle Staub “you’re f-cked up” immediately after Danielle says “that’s f-cked up.” It looks like Jersey is going to be off the rails this year and Siggy teases about the “epic season” that is just a month away.
Bravo is bringing back the Real Housewives Awards for the fourth year in a row. This time, the ladies from across the franchise will compete for fans’ votes in various categories within the back-to-school theme.
Fortunately, it seems like this list was compiled with the intention to make sure everyone feels included, which is nice. Unfortunately, it seems like this list was compiled with the intention to make sure everyone feels included, which means that many of the nominations do not make sense. Nevertheless, the fandom will (hopefully) make the right decisions. Either way you slice it, nominating every housewife is a good way to ensure that a lot of them show up when the awards are handed out. So at least that’s good.
If LeeAnne Locken wasn’t on the first Real Housewives of Dallas season, the show would not be back for a second season. Sure, other things happened, but does anyone even remember/care? No, not really. LeeAnne and her drama made the show worth watching. A big part of LeeAnne’s entertainment value was the fact that she was at odds with pretty much every cast member during Season 1.
So it’s really not surprising that Cary Deuber has no interest in being friends with LeeAnne this season after they came at each other for attending D’Andra Simmons‘ wedding (yes, that was seriously a point of contention) and LeeAnne accused Cary of breaking up her husband’s previous marriage. Obviously they weren’t going to start Season 2 as BFFs.
Whether you loved her or hated her, Jacqueline Laurita was the main source of drama on Real Housewives of New Jersey last year. Without her antics, there would have been nothing to tweet about and nothing for the ladies to argue about at the reunion. Sure, it was tough to watch most of the time, but she at least gave the fans something to have an opinion about… even if your opinion wasn’t positive.
Nevertheless, even the most die hard fans of the show have to admit that it was in a real rut last season so it will be interesting to see how things play out now that Jacqueline is out of the picture.
