The last seasons of both The Bachelor and Bachelorette have both ended with a bang, as Bachelorette winner Ed Swiderski seems to be sleeping with everyone including his fiancé Jillian Harris and two ex-girlfriends – Bethany SteffenandLindsey Johnson. Despite all the cheating accusations surrounding Ed and Jillian, the Bachelor producers are already casting for the next season of the Bachelor.
There have been rumors that Jake Pavelka, Reid Rosenthal or Kiptyn Locke will likely be the next Bachelor. These three are all fan favorites from this season of The Bachelorette. The Bachelor Producer, Mike Fleiss, has now confirmed one of the three will be the next Bachelor to Entertainment Tonight. “When the new season of The Bachelor premieres, look for Reid, Kiptyn or Jake to be handing out the red roses,” says Fleiss.
While the producers have yet to announce when the next Bachelor will be revealed, we can definitely continue to count on both Ed and Jillian to keep us occupied with the cheating/break up allegations.
According to our polls, you all want Reid to be the next Bachelor. I guess we will wait and see.
Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelorette revealed some interesting information regarding the cheating allegations made against Bachelorette winner, Ed Swiderski. Chris confirmed what we all suspected, that both of Ed’s exes – Lindsey JohnsonandBethany Steffen, were paid by US Magazine for revealing information about their affair with Ed.
“The problem is the two girls cashed in and took a paycheck for the story in Us, so, they kind of sold out, which is unfortunate. They sold out at the expense of Ed and Jillian,” Harrison revealed to ET. Lindsey revealed in an interview with US Weekly that she slept with Ed just 8 days after his proposal to Jillian Harris. Both exes also admit to sleeping with Ed during the taping of the show.
Even though Ed is not admitting to the affair, Harrison said “there is a shred of truth in there, which Jillian already knew about.” He continued, “But if there is a shred of truth, you can’t fight the bull!@#$, so what are you going to do? There is not much she can do.”
Jillian admitted to tearing up by the rumors. “I would never do anything mean-spirited in my life,” she said. “I’ll never say a mean thing about one of those girls even though I’m very confused why they would do something like this.”
With all the controversy and drama, both Jillian and Ed still remain a couple. “It is tough, but they are still together, they are still engaged” says Chris.
The fact that these women were paid for their stories does not negate the fact that they might be telling the truth. The time-lines and proof they provided were very damaging. Plus to my knowledge, USWeekly was going to do the story with or without their input, so it was probably in their best interest to get their “truth” out there.
Tell Us: Does the fact that the girls were paid make them any less credible to you?
The latest issue of US magazine reveals some more shocking and disturbing details of The Bachelorette’s winner, Ed Swiderski.
The two women doing the talking are his exes, Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson , both pictured above. They give very detailed time lines, and even reveal emails and texts sent to them by Ed.
One of the most damaging details in all of this is the timeline. Ed carried on a relationship with both women before he started filming the show, slept with both women during his hiatus from the show, and even slept with Lindsey 8 days after proposing to Jillian in Hawaii.
March 25: Ed assures Lindsey who drives him to the airport that he plans to be only the show for only 2 weeks.
April 12:Ed tells Lindsey that Jillian isn’t his type, saying, ” I love you….Hopefully they’ll get me home tomorrow.”
April 15: In Vancouver, Ed claims his boss wants him back in Chicago and says leaving Jillian is “one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.”
April 16: Ed and Lindsey spend the night together in Chicago.
April 23: After resuming communication, Ed and Bethany sleep together at this apartment.
April 25: Ed and Lindsey attend a friend’s wedding, were they kiss on the dance floor.
April 29: Ed tells both ladies he’s going to Texas for business. Instead, he flies to L.A., where he tells Jillian he made a mistake and wants to come back.
May 7: While emailing Lindsey to “trust him,” Ed is in Maui, Hawaii, with Jillian, surprising her with a visit from parents.
May 24: On the final day of shooting, Ed proposes saying, “You’re everything I could ever ask for in a woman.” Jillian accepts saying she’s “madly in love” with him.
May 29: Ed returns to Chicago from taping The Bachelorette in Hawaii.
June 3: Ed texts Bethany, “Bring beer and condoms.” Bethany is disgusted.
June 4: Ed tells Lindsey he loves her, and they sleep together. Ed says he has to go to L.A. for re-shoots but really flies back every other week to spend time with Jillian until they can go public.
June 17: Ed and Lindsey meet and when they kiss, she says, “it almost felt like a goodbye.”
July 24: Jillian and Ed appear as a couple in public. Ed says, “We’re certainly going to get married within the next 12 months.”
No words for this story. If even just an ounce of it is true, Jillian needs to run, and very fast. I predict Jillian will be breaking up with Ed very soon.
These girls have texts and emails to show. Lindsey also appeared on GMA yesterday showing emails sent to her by Ed. Jillian and Ed also appeared on the show, and both denied all allegations. Jillian said she will no longer address this issue publicly. The video of their GMA appearance is below -
Jillian Harris is deciding to stand by her man, Ed Swiderski, despite piling evidence that Ed cheated on her. We broke the story yesterday night about Ed’s ex girlfriends selling their stories to USWeekly magazine. They are both saying Ed was intimate with them before and during the filming of the “The Bachelorette.” With one claiming Ed slept with her after proposing to Jillian.
The cover of US’s new issue is now here. The ladies pictured above are the ex girlfriends. Lindsey Johnson is the blonde, and Bethany Steffen is the brunette.
Jillian has however given multiple interviews defending Ed. She talked to People yesterday saying, “I am not destroyed!…There’s a little bit of anxiety that comes with this news, but I am absolutely not destroyed.”
“What did he do wrong?” Jillian asks. “My biggest concern is with everything that happened after the day we got engaged, and after we got engaged he has been so open with me. He’s told me all of this, every little text message and every little phone call. I use his computer. I know that any communication he had with the girls post-show was platonic. I’m not worried about it.’
So how does Jillian plan on getting through this? “Ed and I are trying to find humor in all of this — and there isn’t much — but it’s bringing us closer.” She’s right, there definitely isn’t any humor in any of this new information.
Jillian says she and Ed are planning on getting out of the “limelight” to focus on their relationship. “I think he feels very bad that I’m getting dragged into this and he feels bad for the girls as well.”
This is all very disappointing to read. Most fans, including me, were rooting for Ed and Jillian to have a happily ever after. I just can’t imagine them working through this. Cheating and lying even after he proposed to her seems like a major deal breaker in my opinion. I also think it would be best for Jillian to stop publicly defending him until she gets all the facts.
UPDATE – More details according to US.
Ed slept with Lindsey 8 days after proposing to Jillian. He tried to sleep with Bethany the next day.
Ed had been dating both Lindsey and Bethany behind each other’s backs prior to filming The Bachelorette in late March.
He texted Lindsey that Jillian wasn’t his “type” and that he prefers “all blondes.” He also wrote her “I love you.”
He slept with both women while he was away from the show during his “job” hiatus.
Things are getting very ugly and very fast for The Bachelorette’s Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris, as two of Ed’s ex-girlfriends are now talking publicly. Both say Ed was intimate with them before, during and after “The Bachelorette” was filmed. Their story will be US magazine’s cover story for this week’s issue.
Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson (both pictured above) have both sold their stories to USWeekly magazine. Jill Martin of Us Weekly said, “It’s the ultimate deception — Ed wasn’t living a double life, he was living a triple life!”
Lindsey, the blonde in the above picture, says she dated Ed for a year — and he promised that they’d be engaged before the end of 2009. She even drove him to the airport on March 25, where he assured her he’d only be on the show for two weeks.
Ed kept in touch with both women via text and email while filming. On April 10, he allegedly wrote Lindsey, “I’m going to molest you when I get home.”
The most shocking news of all? Both women say they were intimate with Ed when he abruptly left the show on April 15, telling Jillian that he had to leave the show “to work” in Chicago. While in Chicago, Ed then told Bethany and Lindsey he needed to fly to Texas on business, but returned to the show and attempted to win Jillian back.
On April 23, Ed reportedly emailed Bethany, writing, “I was really hoping to grab your ass.” Ed popped the question to Jillian on May 24. Days later on June 3, Ed allegedly texted Bethany, asking her to come by and “bring beer and condoms.”
I really have no words for this story. The source of this story is Extra, as told to them by UsWeekly. More on this story will be in this week’s issue of US Magazine. Feel bad for Jillian, it’s practically impossible to build a lasting relationship that’s based on lies and deception.
UPDATE: If anyone has better photos of either Lindsey or Bethany, please feel free to send it in to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks.
