Emily Maynard

Following weeks of drama both on and off the show, it all ends tonight as Brad Womack will pick and propose to one of his final two women on the Bachelor.

The two lucky ladies are Chantal O’Brien, 28, – the sassy divorcee who slapped Brad on the first night, and Emily Maynard, 24, – the single mother of one.

“When you know [you're in love], you just know. And I just knew,” Brad, 38, told UsWeekly of his final pick. “I’m grateful to have a second chance…I can promise you there is a very happy ending.” The latest issue of UsWeekly also sheds some light on the proposal details, revealing that Brad ended up proposing to his final pick a total of 4 times! Apparently, “the crew wanted different camera angles,” explained an onlooker.

Meanwhile, Bachelor insider Reality Steve posted a surprising report yesterday, revealing that there is already some trouble in paradise for Brad and his final pick. In fact, the two have reportedly broken up and gotten back together once since the show stopped filming months ago.

According to RS, Brad and his “fiance” make that shocking revelation on tonight’s After The Final Rose on ABC. RS also reveals that unlike the previous Bachelor(ette) couples who appear very lovey-dovey on the ATFR tapings, Brad and his final pick appeared very tense on stage. Wowzers.

And finally, the new Bachelorette will officially be announced tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. According to reports, that job went to Ashley Hebert because Brad’s runner up turned it down. The reason? She is already in a new relationship.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK BRAD AND HIS FINAL PICK WILL MAKE IT IN LIGHT OF THE NEW REPORT? THOUGHTS ON TONIGHT’S FINALE EPISODE?

The Bachelor finalist Emily Maynard graces the latest cover of In Touch magazine under the heading “Tricked By Emily’s Lies” as the mag goes on to trash the Bachelor contestant.

According to In Touch, Emily, 24, may not be the person she portrays herself to be. One of the sources of this story is Cori Kurek, who was briefly engaged to the dead NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick before Emily. In fact, Cori tells In Touch she thinks that Emily and Ricky were never actually engaged.

“After Ricky died and she found out she was pregnant, Emily wanted to have lunch with me, because she didn’t know him that well,” shares Cori, who was engaged to Ricky from 2002 to 2003. Cori gave back Ricky’s ring . “I’m amazed at the details Emily excludes about her background,” says Cori of Emily’s portrayal on the show.

Cori claims that after Ricky died in 2004 and his family became aware of Emily’s pregnancy (she found out a week after his death), Ricky’s family decided to give Emily Cori’s engagement ring to spare themselves the embarrassment that she had become pregnant out of wedlock, and to make it appear that wedding plans were on the horizon at the time of Ricky’s sudden death.

“They took Ricky’s ex-fiancée’s ring and put it on Emily’s finger,” another source explains, adding that Emily was seen wearing the $100,000 sparkler in the delivery room. “I think it was a staged, fake engagement.”

While Emily has described Ricky as her childhood sweetheart, Cori insists, “Ricky and I were together for a very long time and as far as I know, there was never any Emily in his life.”

And when it comes to that whole Nascar date with Brad on the show, another source alleges it was all an act. The reason? Apparently since Ricky’s death, Emily has dated several other NASCAR drivers — and would hang out at the track every Saturday.

“Everybody knows Emily was spending almost every Saturday at the racetrack,” one insider says. “It’s not an emotional place for her. I don’t get it.” It has been reported that Emily briefly dated Nascar star Dale Earnhardt Jr back in 2006.

As for Cori’s claims that Emily did not know Ricky well, the Twirlit website disputes that as there are numerous photos of the two together at different points in time. Some of those are posted below.

And then there were two!

Brad Womack narrowed down his Bachelor contestants to his final two yesterday after eliminating Ashley Hebert — the rumored next Bachelorette according to Bachelor insider Reality Steve.  ABC will reportedly be making the official announcement within the next 2 weeks.

Ashley’s elimination was not a shocker considering how awry her one on one date went.  Brad’s dates with Chantal O’Brien and Emily Maynard however went much smoother, and in his latest blog for PEOPLE, Brad tries to explain what really happens on these overnight dates.  Excerpts are below -

“I’m told that the majority of you that are watching find this particular week the most interesting because this is the week of the fantasy overnight dates. I’ll be the first to admit, as a fan of the show before I was on it, I would always tune in and wonder what exactly happens on those overnight dates. Will the couple really stay the night together? Are they really free from cameras or is there a crew on standby, waiting to capture the next groundbreaking moment? Well I, of course, found out the answer to my questions. Yes, we (the couple) are completely alone and camera free. Yes, we stay in the same room together overnight. What happens is completely up to the couple.

I’d like to explain why overnight dates are so important and what I used those nights away from the cameras for. I wanted to take the opportunity with all three of the women to talk, off camera, so we could all feel even more comfortable. By this time, I had gotten to know the women so very well and I wanted to feel confident in the fact that, after talking with each of them all night, I knew exactly what type of woman each of them is. I wanted to be confident that I actually knew these women as well as I thought I did. The overnight dates actually gave me quite a bit of clarity – clarity that I had been looking for!”

Airing next week is the Women Tell All episode and in two weeks, Brad will make his final pick!

TELL US – WHICH OF THE FINAL TWO LADIES SHOULD BRAD PICK? CHANTAL OR EMILY?

Brad Womack left many fans puzzled on The Bachelor last week when he refused to kiss one of his final 4 contestants, Emily Maynard.

Brad eventually kissed Emily after she heavily persuaded him to. In his latest blog for PEOPLE magazine, Brad attempts to explain his side -

“One last thing … I want to explain why I didn’t kiss Emily while sitting on her couch. It’s no secret that I’m brand new to a lot of this. I’ve never dated a woman with a daughter before so I don’t know proper etiquette in that situation. All I know is this, I wanted to kiss Emily every second I was around her, but my very first concern was showing her daughter respect (as well as Emily). I realize it makes me look like a weird and awkward guy around Emily, but that’s anything but the case. Again, my first concern was her daughter.”

Michelle Money

On every season of The Bachelor, there seems to be a resident crazy pants contestant, you know, the one who seems overly attached to the bachelor, is very catty with other contestants, and is all around overly aggressive.

Well, Michelle Money, a 30 year-old Salt Lake City hairstylist, won that role this season as she found herself the villain of the show. In a new interview with PEOPLE, Michelle, who is also an actress in real life, blames editing for her bad image and reveals she actually did talk to Brad following her elimination. Excerpts from Michelle’s interview below -

Do you regret doing the show?
I have no regrets, no hard feelings. My experience was nothing but positive. I just wish those great experiences had been shown. And at the end of the day, I know what my experience was, what really happened and the friendships I made.

What about the caught-on-camera mean remarks?
I have a very sarcastic, dry sense of humor. That can come off as very intense. When you just get a small, chopped-up version of me being sarcastic, it comes across the wrong way.

And what about the aggressive behavior with Brad?
When I left, I felt really great about who I was and the choices I made. I felt Brad got a clear idea of who I am … I went on the show to find love so I took advantage of every opportunity to have time to see if he was someone I’d want in my future. Because if he wasn’t, I wanted to go home to my daughter.

Why not talk to him on the way to the limo or once you were inside?
Brad and I did have a personal, positive conversation that gave me closure and helped me feel confident in his decision. They didn’t show it. I had a lot to say in the limo as well … Me laying down was a result of being car sick from talking to the camera while driving down a bumpy road with lights in my face. I was going to throw up.

Are you worried about how you were portrayed and how it will affect your future dating prospects?
Once you meet me face to face and have a conversation, it’s very clear that I’m not a villain. I’m not worried about dating. I’ve just had a hard time finding people to date in Utah. Being a single mom, it’s hard to get out and travel and meet men. I’m hopeful. I want to get married and have more kids. I want to be in a committed, healthy relationship with somebody who is confident, can make me laugh and can be a great example to my daughter.

A new episode of the Bachelor airs tonight, in which Brad Womack travels to meet the families of his final four picks. Brad will also get to meet Emily Maynard’s daughter. The episode airs at 8/7c on ABC.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON MICHELLE’S INTERVIEW & TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?

Eliminated Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey is now speaking out on who is best for Brad Womack while also defending fellow contestant Emily in a new interview.

“In watching the show now, I still feel the same way I did when I left and I think Ashley [Hebert] and Emily [Maynard] have the strongest connection with Brad,” Ashley, 26, told reporters.

As for the comments Emily Maynard, 24, has received from some of the contestants on the show plus some fans who believe she might not be ready to move on yet following the tragic death of her fiance in 2004, Ashley states she sees things differently. “I don’t think people give her enough credit,” says Ashley. “She is very strong and if everyone would quit talking about [her past] long enough, they would see that she’s ready to move on and she’s ready to start a new chapter in her life.”

Moving on to Chantal O’Brien, who is rumored to be a final four contestant on the show, as the February 7 issue of Life & Style magazine questions if Chantal is still in love with her ex.

That ex would be Jason Vena, her ex-husband and former lead singer of the band Acceptance. High school sweethearts Chantal and Jason were married from 2005 to 2009, and the mag reveals Chantal still hoped to get back together with him just weeks before she left to film The Bachelor.

According to Life & Style, Chantal and Jason divorced after 10 years together, largely because Chantal felt the romance had gone stale. However, she almost immediately started to regret the split. “She knew she’d made a mistake,” says an insider.

And even though Jason had moved on and found love with a woman named Tawny Ingwaldson (Jason and Tawny are recently engaged), Chantal desperately tried to get him to reconcile with her. “Right before she left to film the show, she told Jason she wouldn’t go on The Bachelor if he took her back,” the insider reveals. “Chantal begged and pleaded and cried. Jason was in a lot of pain over it, but at the end of the day he said no.”

Following Jason’s rejection, Chantal then made the choice to go film The Bachelor and open herself up to the possibility of finding love again. Photos of Jason Vena below including one with his fiance Tawny.

And finally, it seems controversy does indeed sell as last week’s very controversial episode of the Bachelor (the Emily Nascar date) proved to be a ratings hit for ABC. The episode brought in 9.5 million viewers for the network, making it the most watched episode of the season.

A new episode of the Bachelor airs tonight at 8/7c.

Michelle Money, who is arguably the craziest most controversial contestant on this season of the Bachelor, is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Whether it be waking up with a random mysterious black eye on the show or being overly aggressive with Brad Womack, Michelle is definitely making her mark on the show.

The latest is now a Life & Style magazine cover story in which Michelle herself admits she had an affair with NBA star Carlos Boozer — while he was married. Michelle tells Life & Style, “Yes, I was in a relationship with Carlos while he was still married. What I did was wrong.”

Michelle, an actress and single mother to 5-year-old daughter Brielle, claims what any good homewrecker claims, which is that she was under the impression Carlos was separated from his wife Cece at the time, though he didn’t file for divorce until March 2009, while he and Michelle were already involved.

“I should never have been so naive to assume what I was told was true,” Michelle says. “I’m not trying to shy away from the fact that he was still married. I don’t put that on Carlos. I don’t put that on anyone but myself. I feel terrible for Cece for that pain she’s had to go through and that I am a part of it.” Following Carlos’ split with his wife, he and Michelle ended things in June 2009. “All I can do,” Michelle says, “is try to do better with my life. I screwed up. But I can only try to do the best I can.”

In other Bachelor news, tonight’s episode, which has yet to air, is already proving to be a controversial one. The reason? It all has to do with a NASCAR date involving Emily Maynard.

See Emily, 24, a single mother to a young daughter, was 19-years-old when her then fiance and race car driver Ricky Hendrick died in a plane crash. A few days later, Emily discovered she was pregnant.

So while most people can imagine the kind of pain and trauma Emily has been through, it seems the producers of the show aren’t quite seeing it the same way. Emily’s first date with Brad had her flying on a small plane with him, something she was scared to do of course, but that wasn’t enough for the producers as her group date with Brad on tonight’s show has them visiting a NASCAR track. In the preview clips shown, Emily can be seen having a negative reaction to the date.

In a new interview with PEOPLE magazine, host Chris Harrison is defending the show and the date, claiming it was already planned before Emily was cast.

“This date and season were set up before Emily was cast. She ended up on the NASCAR date by happenstance. But we’re not stupid. We knew her story by that point so we had a choice to make. We could have told Brad or warned Emily. We chose to let the real-life drama play out,” says Chris. “It forced Emily to face demons I don’t think she’s dealt with. It also forced Brad to learn the rest of the story … It was either going to blow up in their face with Brad realizing, “I can’t handle this. I can’t replace this guy,” and Emily realizing she’s not quite ready, or they would move through it.”

The new episode of the Bachelor airs tonight on ABC at 8/7c. A photo of Emily and Ricky is below.
