Love & Hip Hop Recap: Making Up Is Hard To Do

Is it just me or has Love & Hip Hop over extended itself on cast members and bad story lines? Some nights we see everyone, some nights we don't see some of the more "popular" characters. Heck, there are some women in the opening credits who have had maybe five minutes of screen time all season. It's nothing short of terribly confusing, but I guess it's one of the reasons I watch! You never know what–or who–you're going to get!

Last night commenced with Yandy Smith fighting mad after learning that her boyfriend Mendeecees jumped her personal trainer/cousin. He is all in her face about not caring that her cousin is in the NFL, and she's upset that he doesn't respect her family members. After lots of cussing, Yandy storms off into the night. Props to Mendeecees for being super mature about the situation. Oh wait…

Lore'l and Winter Amos are having drinks and discussing Lore'l's new record and their dating lives. Lore'l thinks they have different priorities in relationships…she is looking for love while her friend Winter is looking for cash. Classy. Winter is thrilled to hear that Lore'l has let her manager-friend go, and she's even more excited about her upcoming tell-all. She plans on exposing lots of past relationships, and Lore'l is a bit concerned to find out she's mentioned in the book.

Major Love And Hip Hop Franchise Gossip Courtesy Of Erica Dixon And Erica Mena!

Breaking news, y'all! Some of the things we see on VH1's Love & Hip Hop franchise aren't actually true! Yes, that's right! Relationships, fights, and drama are faked for the sake of entertainment. I know, I know. I couldn't believe it either. I'll give you a moment to deal with this shocker…

There are some major rumors swirling around the original Love & Hip Hop, as well as Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. My initial guess was that Joseline was actually a Julliard trained actress who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, but I was a tad off base. Still, it's good gossip, nonetheless! We'll start with the tame and move along to some really juicy deets which involve the Ericas from both series. Read on!

Love & Hip Hop Recap: Remind Me…What’s The First Rule Of Fight Club?

Love & Hip Hop returned last night with a vengeance. Apparently the cast had a lot of fights to make up for after being off the air for a week. Almost every story line incorporated a screaming match, if not a physical altercation. Keeping it classy as always, VH1!

The episode begins as Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz are celebrating her success in the recording studio. She is ready to start on the video, and Rich teases her for being demanding. He wants the pair to sign a contract. Rich isn't going to ask for any favors just because Erica is his girlfriend. She wants to be cautious with her career.

Lore'l is working on her music, and Winter Amos comes to see her at the studio. Winter wants to help her friend reach her potential. She wants to know why Lore'l hasn't already become the next big thing. Lore'l has broken Business 101, and she's being managed by one of her good friends. Winter thinks this is a huge issue, and she plants the seed in Lore'l's head to look for better management.

VIDEO: Love & Hip Hop’s Erica Mena Gets In A Brawl!

Controversial Love & Hip Hop star Erica Mena has been caught all kinds a brawling!

TMZ obtained footage of Erica getting in a fist fight at the launch of her new lipstick by Lady J Cosmetics in Manhattan. Things began when Erica exchanged words with a blonde woman named Tiffany over a man. Apparently Tiffany was taunting Erica that she hooked up with her boyfriend before they got together.

Things quickly escalated into a full-on girl fight. Erica threw the first punch. Despite people rushing to break up the fight, both women pretty much lunged at each other because apparently they wanted to scratch and pull hair in public. Classy, right!

Love & Hip Hop Recap: Get A Room!

Oh, Love & Hip Hop. Will you ever go back to just being a reality show, or are we going to have to watch this scripted soap opera interspersed with some R & B videos? It's so bad, but yet I can't turn away…and not just because I blog about it. There is no doubt that I'd be watching it anyway. It's so bad, it's good, and last night's episode was no exception.

We begin as Rich Dollaz is meeting with Yandy Smith to get some advice on his relationship with Erica Mena. She chastises him for mixing business with pleasure, and teases him for blushing when he talks about Erica. Rich wants Erica to learn how to control her ~~temper~~ excitement, and he wishes that Olivia Longott would do the record as a personal favor. Yandy reminds him that even though he and Liv are friends, it's understandable that she wouldn't want to have to share him as a manager. Rich tries to convince Yandy that even though Erica is all kinds of crazy, she has good intentions. Yandy agrees to go to lunch with Erica to see if she can reign her in a bit. Rich is appreciative, and he wants Yandy's honest opinion as to how he should proceed in the relationship…if at all.

Tahiry Jose is cooking steak and beans for Joe Budden to reward him for the clean drug test. Now she believes she can somewhat trust what Joe has to say. She apologizes for not believing that he's been sober. Joe is about to go on tour, and Tahiry reminds him to call her if he feels the urge to fall off the wagon. In his absence, Tahiry plans to work on her recording career. She is always nervous to talk about her music with Joe because she respects him so much as an artist. Joe doesn't doubt that she'll accomplish her goals, but he also thinks that not everyone is cut out for the industry. She invites him to come to come to one of her studio sessions. Joe jokingly tells Tahiry that as much as he knows she wants him to spend the night, he's got an early morning. Classy guy.

Love & Hip Hop Recap: Girls Gone Riled

I honestly don't know what to think about Love & Hip Hop. First I loved it, then I was "eh," and now I keep switching up which cast members I like and which ones annoy the poo out of me. Can you guess who was getting on my nerves during the recent hip hop shenanigans?

Last night's episode begins with Olivia Longott meeting Erica Mena so Erica can apologize (is that what she's attempting?) for her behavior at Yandy's party the following evening. She hadn't planned on being so confrontational. Of course, then Erica starts going off on Liv for not doing a favor for Rich Dollaz and making the record with her. Erica is sick of watching Rich do everything for Olivia when she gives him nothing in return…nothing but a paycheck! Does Erica understand what it means to be a manager? She then starts warning Liv that her friendship with Rich is faltering, but Olivia assures Erica that they've been best friends for years, and that isn't going to change. Huffy that she can't change Olivia's mind about the song by just trying to talk over her, Erica storms away. So much for that apology, right?

Jen Bayer heads into the studio to visit with her friend Raqi Thunda. Raqi is Muslim, and she would like to get a woman's perspective on Consequence's religion. Jen has considered converting, but she wants their son to be able to experience Christmas and Easter. Raqi is flabbergasted that the pair didn't discuss their religious differences before having a child together, and Jen is in tears over the thought that she'll never bake Christmas cookies with Caden.

Love & Hip Hop Recap: Erica Is Quite the Mena Girl!

I'm still not sure how I feel about this new group VH1 has pulled together for the new season of Love & Hip Hop. Some seem incredibly boring, while others (cough, cough Erica Mena) are too over the top. Speaking of, Erica was still keeping it classy on last night's episode. She's meeting with Lore'l to discuss they're beef from last week. Erica doesn't like how she ganged up with Rich Dollaz. Lore'l doesn't understand why Erica is so proud of her craziness. Erica tries to pretend that the record was Lore'l's idea, and then she claims to have asked Lore'l to make her relevant.

Consequence is a practicing Muslim, and he and Jen Bayer are raising Caden to be Muslim, but Jen isn't sure she's ready to jump on board. Cons wants the family to pray together, and Jen hopes that they can expose Caden to some of the Christian traditions she participated in as a child. Religion is very important to Cons, and he is counting on Jen to start learning about Islam and his spirituality.

Yandy Smith's little Amir is so precious. Mendeecees and Yandy discuss their relationship, and he is proud of himself for curing his wandering eye. He wants to be a family man now. Mendeecees wants the family to move to a bigger place, but Yandy doesn't want to move because her mom lives upstairs. She thinks her living situation is stable, and Mendeecees has been anything but until recently. Yandy wants to make sure that they are on the right track before they take that next step.

Love & Hip Hop Recap: Raqi Horror Picture Show

Okay, I'll be honest. I didn't think I'd grow to like this new group on Love & Hip Hop. I certainly didn't fathom that I'd start changing my tune during the second episode…but I did. I'm still iffy about Raqi Thunda, but I like Rashidah Ali. Joe Budden and Tahiry Jose are going to bring the drama

When we last left the new crew, Tahiry and Raqi were involved in some behavior unbecoming of a pool party…unless your on a VH1 reality show. So, they totally fit right in, I'd say. Tahiry heads to Rashidah's house to vent to her friend about the situation. Rashidah is floored to hear that Tahiry went to Joe's pool party, and she's even more floored to hear that Raqi was there. Rashidah considers her to be "IP"…or Industry What the fab 90's rap song OPP was about. Classy. Tahiry admits to blacking out during her altercation with Raqi, and Rashidah accuses her friend of "dumbing down" for Joe. I like this chick. She calls it like it is! Tahiry thinks that something is off with Joe, and she's worried about him.

We are introduced to Jen Bayer, better known as Jen the Pen. She's a hip hop gossip blogger and has a radio show. She is dating rapper Consequence, who is the self-proclaimed best ghost writers in the history of rap. They've been together for five years and have a baby boy. He has an impressive resume as he's written with tiny rapper Kanye West, Diddy, and Beyonce. Jen meets her friend Winter Ramos (who made a brief appearance at that fateful pool party) at Consequence's sound check. She is Fab's assistant, but she worked with (and slept with) a slew of famous name rappers. Jen shares with Winter that she's ready to go back to work after the baby. Winter has recently written a tell-all about her experience in the music industry. She's put a lot of controversial details in her book, but she's not worried about any backlash.
